I recommend everyone to visit there and get in touch with ancient history. Ancient khachkars describe scenes from ancient history in the form of drawings on crosses.
This place left a great impression. Anahit, a local seller of socks and souvenirs, gave us a wonderful tour of the cemetery. It was interesting to listen to her - it's not just like walking among the graves without knowing what is painted and written on them. We paid 5000 rubles from the bottom of our hearts for 6 people.

An interesting historical place.
The peculiarity of the cemetery is the grandmothers, who take you into circulation even from the moment you search for a parking place. During a ten-minute tour with constant repetition of 10-15 memorized phrases, we agreed on 2 thousand drams. The bigger the company or the richer place you come from, the higher the price tag will be.
To save money (I cannot vouch for the truthfulness of the story, further retelling): at first, tombstones with only one cross go from the road — this is the 4th century. Then there are the traditional Armenian khachkars — these are the 12th-14th centuries. If you see several khachkars nearby, it's a family. Small tombstones are children. The chapel is 13th century. To the left of the chapel there is a khachkar, which took some place at the exhibition in the Louvre.
The local guides will not tell you more, you can safely refuse their services from the very beginning. Especially if you don't want to spoil your mood at the end by talking about paying for an imposed excursion.
In principle, there are pillars with QR codes on the territory of the cemetery - there will certainly be more historical information there.
(!!!)A man walks around the cemetery, forcibly begins to tell stories about the cemetery and insistently asks you for money (although he came up and started telling us, we did not ask, he told us about two tombstones in exactly 30 seconds and began demanding 2000 drams from us). The whole impression of this place has deteriorated.
