The best museum in our region. Everything is very interesting and informative. The atmosphere of time is felt with every fiber. There is a lot of exposure. It's always nice to be by myself and bring the kids.
A great place where you can immerse yourself in the history of Kazakhstan, and especially Petropavlovsk. There is even some information about my relative, which is very nice. You can take photos in all halls, it is strictly forbidden to take videos. Admission is free, it's a bit unexpected, but fine, it's strange that there are no queues. In the halls on the ground floor, you can see the horns of a mammoth and other long-lost animals. And on the second, most of the things are connected with Nazarbayev, but there are some national things: beautiful jewelry and even musical instruments. I liked everything very much, thank you very much!
I will not write anything about the quality of the exhibits. Probably yes, there is something to see and study. But I give 1 star to the staff. Boorish attitude. I came with 3 children (one of whom was a year old), to show them the only museum in the city, to plunge into the history of the city. But right at the entrance, our mood was already spoiled by the phrase: you can't walk with a stroller here. For a moment, we were the only visitors in the museum, NO ONE else. No one has explained why it is impossible, i.e. if a wheelchair user comes, he can, but not with a child. Although after the recent renovation, they did not even take care of this in order to make a barrier-free environment for low-mobility groups of the population. There are only steps inside, not a single ramp.
In general, these aunts in museums tried to convince me with bulging eyes for a very long time that I was not an invited guest here with my children.
Administration, work with the staff and resolve the issue with strollers. I didn't bother anyone with my stroller and baby, I didn't bring dirt with my wheels. But they still couldn't answer the question why not.
