I visit the Severny market often. A good variety of building materials (except wallpaper) and all sorts of household items for the house. But...! Construction goods and car accessories have almost replaced everything else: children's goods have completely disappeared - there are no toys, no clothes, no shoes. And there are very few such goods for adults, there is nothing to take, so buyers go to other outlets, respectively, and sellers reduce the number of goods or move to other places - a vicious circle, but boutiques with power tools, auto chemicals have appeared - which again leads to a change in the category of buyers and to a certain orientation of the market. In particular, there is practically nothing for children and women to do there, and men do not often build or repair cars, so the market is increasingly empty... I also want to say about the meat and dairy pavilion - the most expensive in the city, everything is about 500-600 tenge more expensive than in other markets of the city, while there is neither variety nor special quality of products, so why overpay?... Therefore, even for 1 kg of meat or sour cream, it is more profitable to go, for example, to the Communal market or the Daria market...
It's a pretty good bazaar. There are different boutiques: vegetable, meat pavilion, building materials, 1000 little things. The service is good, the prices are reasonable, the mini cozy bazaar.
