It got colder and again I want the sun, warmth, sea, fruits. It's decided - we're going to Egypt. Where to? Yes, back to our Gazala. We are waiting for the price to decrease. And... we did not have time. We are making a second attempt. We are booking. The tickets are booked, but the hotel does not confirm the reservation. We are waiting for a day. We're getting nervous. And then we see the NOVOTEL PALM 5*. It is more expensive by $ 400, but our favorite bay. So, let's fly.
Departure at 6.55 on 10/25/23 The journey to Sharma takes 7 hours. Heavily. We landed. They quickly passed through passport control. As always, the stamp is placed on a new page exactly in the middle (I did not have time to say). At the exit, the representative of the meeting party directs to the minibus. 10 minutes of waiting and let's go. It's just us in our hotel.
Reception.
The bags of all arrivals are passed through the scanner. I had a folding knife. They asked me to take it to the reception. They were returned upon eviction. I gave you a letter of recommendation from TopHotels. He asked me to move in nearby. They gave two numbers next to 3109 and 3111. It turned out to be a Family room, although we paid for Standard. No hint of a surcharge. In the concept of the hotel, if there are rooms of the best quality, guests are always accommodated in better rooms. This is not only from the words of the staff, but also from the words of the hotel guests with whom I communicated.
We were 15 minutes late for the restaurant. But they let us in and gave us lunch.

Very big. There is a long corridor of 8 meters. At the entrance on the left there is a bunk bed for children. Further to the left is a large washbasin with a hairdryer and a large long shower under glass. On the right is a wardrobe with a safe. The room has a double bed, two tables, a table, a sofa, a small balcony. On the table in the corner there are tea accessories, an electric kettle, tea, coffee, dry cream. The refrigerator is under the second table. A TV and a router are on top. There are 4 bottles of water replenished every day. In addition, you can get a bottle of water at any bar without any problems.
I measured the Internet speed in the room. I was pleasantly surprised. I'll attach a photo. On site in the restaurant, near the bar and pool and in the reception area, the Internet is available and decent. We didn't even buy a SIM card. Because on the beach, two routers cover a fairly large area and the Internet is also decent.
Important. To replace the bed linen, put a sign on the bed, which is usually hung on the door handle. It is universal here - both not to disturb and to replace the linen. Or throw the bed on the floor. As well as towels in the shower. That is, linen replacement "on demand".
Bars.
Guests of the hotel can use three bars. A bar near the restaurant and pool, a beach bar, and a bar on the territory of the NOVOTEL BEACH. At first, we were told that the last bar only serves drinks during the evening shows. But I asked the bartender and he said any time. The alcohol is all local. I've never found it diluted anywhere. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails are made in all bars. Is free. But bartenders have different qualifications. Someone cooked better, someone worse. But everyone is friendly. No one is begging for tips. The attitude towards all tourists is the same. I have not seen anyone running around any particular nation. The most delicious cocktail was prepared by Amir, the manager of the bars on the beach. A week later, he was transferred to the BEACH Hotel bar.
Guests of the hotel. Italians, Poles, Russians, Belarusians, Balts, Germans, Belgians, French. During my stay, I did not see drunkards and inadequates.
Territory.
Well-groomed. Everything is green. Everything is blooming. Automatic watering works at night - retractable rods, which are not visible during the day.
There is a playground and a kindergarten on site, where, as I understand it, you can temporarily leave a child.
Restaurant.
If the restaurant's chef and the manager of bars and restaurants are not busy, they personally greet each new guest. Every day in the restaurant there is a themed cuisine of the peoples of the world. Sometimes the dishes vividly demonstrate the theme, sometimes imperceptibly (for example, Mediterranean cuisine). On seafood day, crabs, squid, cocktail salads with shrimp, various fish are served. In addition, there is fresh fish (trout) right in the restaurant and after buying it for $ 10 a piece, you can ask them to cook it for you. The food is quite varied. There have always been oriental sweets made from kataifi dough (angel hair) and filo. For breakfast, oatmeal, three types of milk (whole, skimmed, oatmeal). Breakfast cereals are varied. Croissants. Honey in a honeycomb and honey in a jar. Pizzas. Lasagna. Quail. Beef. Beef liver. Duck liver. Melon. Orange. Guava. Strawberry. Moreover, nothing ever ended. He came up and, for the sake of interest, asked me to give me the whole melon. The cook immediately handed it to me without even blinking an eye. Of course, I refused, but I was pleasantly surprised. The main feature of the entire hotel staff is friendliness. The desire to help. At the same time, no one is begging you for anything.
Some tourists are surprised, who can later write a review. A woman in a restaurant. In a washed and darned bathrobe, he leaves the hall and sighs loudly: "There is nothing to eat today." There was dinner. As always, there was a lot of food. We almost cursed. Another time, she sadly stated that there was no smoked herring for breakfast. And she's always here for breakfast. And very tasty. I asked the cook about the herring. He showed me that she was put in another place.
I would like to say separately about greens and vegetables. Everything always looks like it was plucked from the garden 5 minutes ago.
The chef constantly walks around and checks the temperature of hot dishes that are heated with a thermometer.
Beach.
Guests of the Novotel palm Hotel enjoy the beach of the Novotel beach Hotel. Walking is not stressful and not far away. If for some reason you do not want to walk to the beach, an electric scooter will always take you to the territory of the Novotel beach hotel. Towels are clean and take at least 10 times a day. For the sake of interest, I once said that I forgot the cards in the room and I was offered towels without cards without any problems.
The bar starts working from 10.00, but you can pour water, pour tea, coffee, and drinks from the cooler yourself from 9.00. All bartenders are friendly and friendly. Warning! If you take soft ice cream, be sure to wear shoes. He was barefoot and with wet feet. The device slightly stings with current. I told the manager. He also pointed out to them ways to solve the problem (grounding or dielectric mat). Nothing was done at the time of departure.
The entrance to the sea is sandy. But you won't go far. Shoulder-high at most. Then the corals begin. Lots of fish and beautiful corals.
The rescue service is working fine. As soon as someone swims behind the buoys, the lifeguard jumps into the kayak and swims very quickly to the intruder. I have not observed such close attention in other hotels.
Although the beach is used by guests of two hotels, there have always been a lot of free places in 10 days. Strangers are always politely asked to leave. Otherwise, two girls came from a nearby beach, and then one began to sink. And then who will be responsible for it?
I don't believe a single word to the young lady who was outraged that she was molested. All suggestions are correct and unobtrusive. Unless the traveling merchants, when you are on the first line, will get a little annoying.
Animation.
Girls walk along the beach and call for darts, bocce, volleyball, yoga, gymnastics. In the evening, various shows and concerts are held on the territory of the Novotel beach. There are workshops on cooking burgers and salads for children on the beach.
The renovation of the main restaurant and the construction of an Italian restaurant on the beach are in full swing at the Novotel beach. The most amazing thing is that there is no dust or noise. How they manage to do this is difficult to say. Due to the renovation of the main restaurant, the guests of the Novotel beach eat in a separate restaurant in the Novotel Palm.
We went to the Mahoni restaurant. According to the promo code "Traveler's Menu", a chic dish costs only $ 26. Two soups with crab, shrimp, squid and mussels, 10-12 king prawns, 2 fish (one in salt, but when it is cleaned, 50 grams of meat remains), French fries, squid rings in batter, mussels 3-4 pcs. The three of us had quite a good meal.
Dear travelers! Remember that the official dollar exchange rate is 30.5, and the unofficial one reached 51 with us. I will not name specific places so as not to substitute anyone. I will say that the sellers in the shops, in some hotels, cooks and waiters, will gladly take 46-47 from you. The staff of this hotel does not deal with such operations!

We had a rest in early December 2023. I am writing as a non-fastidious person who visited several resort countries before Egypt and just compared them.
To begin with, the advantages:
A large beautiful territory. You can meet storks, hoopoes. A cool beach, lots of comfortable sun beds, beautiful fish, diving with a mask is a thrill. There is a bar by the beach. The animation is visible and audible, you can actively spend time. Nice pools. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, the speed is acceptable. Despite the second line, it's nice to walk to the beach. A specially trained man walks across the street. Heroically slows down the flow.
Minuses:
Service. Well, not at all close to Turkey and even the UAE. The drink in the restaurant may simply not be brought. Table cleaning is slow. Room cleaning is according to the mood. They simply did not come to us twice in 10 days, the replacement of bed linen and towels is a rare event.
Meal. Meat is often rubbery. Half of the dishes are completely incomprehensible to me personally. I took the same thing, I got tired of 10 days of rest. Even soups and salads upset me. Alcohol is so-so. It is clear that everything is the most budget-friendly. Services can be obtained on the beach. Like pesky flies. There seem to be fewer merchants in Sochi. There are also flies on the beach. Mosquitoes in the evening. Well, it's more about winter Egypt in general, and not about the hotel in particular.
The rooms are tired. The toilet flush didn't work well until I realized that it needed to be pressed sharply and forcefully (you need a life hack).
In general, if we take the price / quality, then there is no desire to return to the hotel. There was no love.

Animation around the pool until 21.00, first for children, then for adults. The beach is a 5-minute walk away, bars on the beach are included in the price. I visit Egypt 3-4 times a year. I am an unassuming tourist and always try to look for positive moments and enjoy my vacation. I write reviews extremely rarely, but this hotel "deserves", because it does not pull at its 5 stars in any way. The main bonuses are a nice clean beach with a gentle entrance and its own reef, and the location in the center of Naama Bay - it's nice to walk along the boardwalk, there are many shops and restaurants nearby. Otherwise, the hotel is below average. The staff is tired of the endless stream of people. The only friendly person is the security guard on the beach, the rest will not say hello once again, the art of pretending that you are not here is honed to perfection. On the third day of our vacation, there was a big check-in, and the staff finally stopped coping, and there were problems like finding a free sunbed or a table in the restaurant. The food is monotonous and not tasty, the beef is rubbery, the chicken is over-dried, there are few fruits. Pour some kind of omelet over the half-eaten pancakes from breakfast and serve them for dinner - that's fine. A snack on the beach is given out as if you were taking their food away from them. The animators are half-dead, mostly busy walking along the beach and begging for good reviews "otherwise they will be fined", hence the mediocre hotel has a good rating. As one of the hotel guests said, "it feels like they are being held captive here." I'm not talking about the fact that conversations with guests on military-political topics are the norm here, although with the caveat "actually, we are forbidden to talk about it." The "disappointment of the year" award is the so-called gym: two non-working ellipsoids, two creaking tracks, two pink dumbbells. In general, to return to Sharm is yes, to return to this hotel is definitely not. I have not even seen such a shameful service in Egyptian threes

The second time was on New Year's holidays in this hotel. Why did you choose it again, and not the Beach ... firstly, I really like the area with bungalows and large rooms, secondly, there is less fuss and the staff is good-natured. There was no New Year's Eve as such this year ... all the entertainment was on the Beach ... where we came closer to 22h and did not lose anything ... there was "live music" ... then "disco". In general, I like this hotel ...a very convenient location ...10 minutes from the airport , a beautiful beach with corals and fish , good service ...we did not clean the room for two days ... we went to the reception and began to clean every day, there were no bathrobes, we went there again and brought bathrobes. The robes are "waffle", small ... on the husband only for plowing, but they are there))) This means that they can hear you there and are ready to help. The only warning ... now shampoo, soap, lotion and hair conditioner are in bottles with a dispenser and I got the impression that they confuse and top up the wrong bottles ... since body lotion was applied with a solid white, sticky mass, but I had my own ... so I didn't bother. About the food ... we weren't hungry ... we brought an extra 5kg for two))) For me, the indicator of properly cooked meat (beef) this is when it can be easily chewed... here it's all right))) the fish is also delicious , but monotonous . There were shrimp only once for Christmas dinner. Will we return to this hotel ... most likely, and again in winter ... since Naama Bay is the most comfortable if you want to swim with fish . And the Novotel is developing ...construction is underway on the beach ... as I understand it, a large and beautiful bar ...I want to see it in real life😊 oh, yes!!! Who will go there ... take some chocolates with you (you can take Alyonka) ... they have tips, as I understand it, "for a community service", but a chocolate bar is personally a pleasant stay!!! 🐠😊
