Very friendly staff and convenient location. That's all. Expectation and reality do not coincide. If you are used to good European city hotels, then you are not here. There are a maximum of 2 stars here. The rooms are old and very tired. The view is exclusively on the windows of neighboring buildings (dense buildings in the old town). Two floors of the hotel are in the basement!! There are no Windows, but there is a terrace (which you will proudly advertise at the reception). The view from the terrace is of a high brick wall (it's underground, after all) and somewhere above you will see the sky.... We got such a room on the first day and it doesn't matter that they are lower than the category we booked. They promised to move us the next day and return a quarter of the money spent on accommodation - they moved us and forgot about the refund… We were not offended, but we drew conclusions... the breakfasts are hearty, there are even some fruits, not very desserts, the coffee is disgusting! In general, it is not worth staying here, this hotel does not justify the money spent, alas.
A magnificent little hotel.
It's quiet at night, the rooms are clean, the mattresses are comfortable, the staff is very professional and pleasant. It's a little cramped, but it's an old town.
To any main attraction - 10-15 minutes on foot, there is a tram on the next street.
Breakfast is normal, it's a pity there is no porridge)
The hotel is a five-minute walk from the attractions and two minutes from the cafe. In a fairly quiet place. The staff is polite and diligent. The breakfasts are ordinary, but of high quality. The rooms are small but cozy. We liked everything)
We booked this hotel through Biblio Globus. We booked a standard room with a window. Upon check-in, we were put in a room on the minus 2nd floor. As you can see in the photo, there is no window or window pane in the room, it is deep underground. There is no mention of the existence of such rooms in this hotel, and of course there are no photos either. We tried to solve the problem on the spot at the Reception, the hotel employee said that there were no standard rooms and that Biblio Globus had booked economy. I must say that the Reception is located on the minus ground floor in the basement. The staff does not greet or smile when we visit the hotel, it is clear that they are not very happy with us. Room service and housekeeping are good, no complaints. View from the veranda of the restaurant where breakfast is taking place. There were shabby houses, scanty breakfasts, nothing to eat, they were constantly hungry. Repairs are underway in the neighboring building and the sounds of jackhammers have been going on since six in the morning. The alley through which you go to the hotel is dirty, scary and uncomfortable. It was unpleasant to walk at night . It is unpleasant to be at the Reception because it is in a collapse and is almost not illuminated, this is the first time I see this. By the way, I've never seen any tourists at the Reception there, which means that it's not just us who are uncomfortable in the dark basement. I suggest changing the name of the hotel to a renovated basement.
The rooms are small but cozy. The hotel is located a stone's throw from the main historical attractions! Very friendly staff! There is an elevator. The breakfasts are delicious, on the 7th floor with a beautiful view 👍 There is an outdoor roof terrace where you can drink coffee and admire Istanbul 😊
The rooms are small but clean. The room was cleaned every day. The windows overlooked the courtyard, there was a wall opposite, with the window open, the noise of construction could be heard. On the terrace, where there were breakfasts, there was a view of the Hagia Sophia. The breakfasts are quite good, hearty, but not very varied.
They settled in the basement in economy room 202, ordered the standard through Biblio Globus, a complete deception. The location is good, but the alley from which the entrance is scary and mountains of garbage. There is no sea view from the restaurant's terrace. You 're looking at the wall of the next building . We had a rest in October 2024. The rest is ruined.
The hotel is not big, the rooms are not big either.A single room on the 4th floor is quite microscopic, a double room on the 3rd floor is also not too big, but a family room in the basement for three family members is not very bad.The breakfast is very Spartan, the same dishes are served every day.The most important advantage is the proximity to the main sights of Istanbul. And one more feature of the hotel, however, as, probably, in all sooo steep stairs.
Overall, the hotel is good. The staff is friendly. Of the disadvantages, they do not speak Russian. Very small rooms (but these are in almost all small hotels in the area). The location is just great, there are many attractions within walking distance.
I didn't like the hotel. It looks very un-presentable. The rooms are tiny with disgusting sound insulation. We ordered a transfer from them, the car never arrived, although they charged us for the transfer. They said that they had to wait another 30 minutes and the driver would have arrived, although we had already been waiting for them for 30 minutes by this time. They cheated us in short and took the money from us.
