An incredibly beautiful place in the reserve. The big Almaty lake is an unusual color, turquoise, a place of power in a word. The view of the lake and the mountains up close is fascinating. I recommend it to everyone!
An extraordinary lake and a view of it! You need to dress warmer and take a raincoat, the weather changes very quickly. We took a private tour, so they took us to the observation room by car, it's very convenient if you don't have a lot of time((
The observation deck in the Bostandyk district of Almaty is an amazing place to visit. It offers spectacular views of the city and the surrounding mountains. Beautiful buildings and skyscrapers of Almaty are visible from a height. The panorama leaves an unforgettable impression and delights with its beauty. The place is perfect for photos and selfies. This place is definitely worth a visit to admire the beauty of Almaty.
A mountain lake is always beautiful.
Turquoise-colored water is a wonderful view. But not everyone gets to see him that way. We were in the middle of April, it was still snowing, it was impossible to approach the water from the observation deck, but there are advantages here too. You see the process of snow melting, streams form and flow into the lake itself.
The road to the observation deck is difficult and long, but we are not sorry, the views are beautiful!
Wild animals, birds - you will definitely see all this on your way.
A very beautiful playground, the road to it is no less attractive. There is one thing, but be careful when going down and up by car. There are many young people on electric motorcycles who lack a sense of self-preservation. When you arrive, border guards can check your passport, many locals do not know about this. Those who do not have documents are not allowed to pass, they are sent to the development. Since the lake is a strategic object, although it is a tourist attraction.
Follow and respect local laws and everything will be fine. No one will spoil your vacation. The place is really beautiful!
This is a place of beauty where everyone will find their own: inspiration, understanding, familiarity, as well as the landscape.
I recommend this place. I thank my friend for the opportunity to see this beauty.
The place is super. But the organization of access is below the baseboard . The place should be accessible. With restrictions , let it be more expensive than a standard ticket . And let's say check -in from five to seven in the morning . Crowds of leftist tourists who do not understand how to behave will immediately disappear
Well, there's nothing to write here. Nicely. We got there on August 26. Traffic has already been allowed. We took a taxi. If you are not in good physical shape, then this is the only right decision, in my opinion. It is better to take a round trip, having agreed with the driver, and waiting 45 minutes / hour to walk a little and take a photo. Active tourists will grin, but the main thing is not to overestimate their strength.
This is a gorgeous place, the road is hard and long. But I, with two children aged 8 and 10, crossed it on foot. At 13 o'clock we went, we spent about an hour there and returned at 20:00
A great place that emphasizes the beauty of nature and its power.
According to information on 09/27/2023, the road to BAO was closed, we were lucky to have time to visit there while the road was open.
I recommend everyone to visit there.
Beautiful view, clean air. It's still clean around, people mostly don't litter. I would like more places to relax in the form of gazebos, there are benches, but there are not many of them either.
The view is very beautiful, 2 hours of walking was worth it. BUT, at the checkpoint they ask to show their passport, if they didn't take it, it would be a disappointment
For those who visit Almaty and love nature, this is probably the best place and experience of the whole trip! I highly recommend staying there overnight, one day not to embrace all the splendor that awaits you there!
I almost died before I reached the lake....my heart was in my throat, we walked there for about 5 hours... my side hurt, as if a stake had been stuck there.... but this kind of winter, it's worth it!!!!!!!!
Gorgeous view, difficult to climb)
We climbed up the pipe in 3.5 hours, but it's already dangerous to go down the pipe, so we went down the road) I advise everyone to go there.

It's a beautiful place. I was amazed, saddened and annoyed by the fact that the road to the observation deck was blocked and we could not get there by taxi or private car. BUT! For 25,000 tenge, using his official position, a man in uniform and on duty, standing at the checkpoint, offered to take us and everyone. Despite the fact that from the city center to the lake by taxi the cost is 4000 tenge. And this man also tried to convince us that we would not have time to walk and would not be able to. In principle, we walked along the road, we managed everything, and returned safely through the pipe.
The views are certainly excellent here. However, you can't call it an observation deck... a traffic jam of randomly parked cars, people scurrying between cars, garbage and a complete mess...
A beautiful lake, the track to it is about 8 km, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, it is quite difficult to approach the lake itself, the water is cold.
