If you are not in good physical shape, then this is the only right decision, in my opinion. It is better to take a round trip, having agreed with the driver, and waiting 45 minutes / hour to walk a little and take a photo. Active tourists will grin, but the main thing is not to overestimate their strength.

For 25,000 tenge, using his official position, a man in uniform and on duty, standing at the checkpoint, offered to take us and everyone. Despite the fact that from the city center to the lake by taxi the cost is 4000 tenge. And this man also tried to convince us that we would not have time to walk and would not be able to. In principle, we walked along the road, we managed everything, and returned safely through the pipe.
