The hostel I live in is just a great place to stay! It is always clean, neat and comfortable. Various amenities such as a kitchen, a washing machine and a common sitting area make your stay even more comfortable. In addition, there is a wonderful atmosphere of friendliness and mutual understanding among the neighbors, and there is always an opportunity to meet new people. I am very pleased with my choice and recommend this hostel to everyone!
It's cool and possible to live, because everything is nearby, but you can't escape from cockroaches. Occasionally something breaks, and the elevators are so constant. Stoller disappeared and did not promise to return, although he was of no use before, we fix everything with chewing gum. But there's no help for it, there are no perfect places.
During the week of my stay I saw more than 100 cockroaches, the funds do not help, at night if you turn on the light they will run everywhere, over you, on the bed, around the room in general I am silent, they crunch under my feet) according to the state of the hostel 3-4/5, in general it will go, but cockroaches and bedbugs are a very big minus. Well, something like that)
It's a great place to live, study, get to know your peers, and raise student spirit.
The dorm is super in terms of location and accommodation, if you do not take into account the management of the hostel and the stupid rules established in it
Separately, I want to describe the arrogance with which the management can, without asking or without the presence of residents, enter the room to the students and go "inspect the property of the hostel", inadvertently looking into the personal belongings of students
There is a student council in the hostel, ostensibly to improve communication between residents and the administration, which can be accessed either through friendship with their members or through close contact with the leadership, and as a result, the picture is as follows: if you are a friend of one of the above, then you will live well, but if not, you will sit on a mine and wait for it to explode, and if there is a conflict with one of them, then there will definitely not be a sweet life (
The kitchens are generally in good condition, but they work on the strength of 6-7 burners per floor, which houses 16 rooms for 5-6 people, from which even heating water is sometimes a problem
If you suddenly have a desire to defend your rights, the answer to everything is simple: "If you don't like it, rent an apartment"
There are more and more cockroaches every year, it seems like bullying takes place, but only in common areas on the floor, and cockroaches at this time just crawl from the corridor through the rooms, which makes it even more fun
And a lot more...
The 21st century is in the yard. Comrades!!! This is the first time we have seen such an outrage.! There is no light, there is no water (well, it's okay, summer..) nothing works, there is dirt, dust, garbage everywhere, and most importantly, it crunches underfoot....depends on the number of cockroaches. It's just creepy and you still have to pay for these apartments.
I want to know the heroes who are responsible for this mess and get paid!
Last year, July- August we lived in a hostel against, compared to this ---- paradise.
It's a lousy place. I'm sure that it's not the worst hostel, but the attitude to living here is interesting: the cleaner drives out of the kitchen already during cooking and turns to the person in case of a request to wait until the food is ready; you won't get a kind word from the head; you wait for plumbing for days; the electrician is on a binge; the problem with wiring is that extension cords and chargers burn out. The watch is good and pleasant. It will help in case of anything.
The most interesting thing is that tetris was made in the room: the fourth bed was delivered, since the neighboring dormitory is under renovation (for 3 years now, although they promised for a year). Yes, they take care of the students, but they do not provide additional space for things: a closet, a bedside table. So take the minimum with your things.
Well, it's a sin not to mention the cockroaches, which are poisoned only in front of the sanitary station and only in the kitchen, and then they run away to us, through the rooms.
Have a nice life, students!
Passport holders tynble, and bbldlo
I wanted to sign a workaround sheet, they asked me to fill out some kind of application, but in the order of the queue, as a result, I served the whole queue, but I came tomorrow it turned out that I did not need to write any application. Everyone is called on you, they are rude to the guys at every opportunity.
it's just some kind of horror, cockroaches interfere with living peacefully, they are everywhere ...
in the kitchen, in the bathroom, in the toilet, on the bed, and at night they run all over you
terrible hostel
It is never quiet and boring here. It should be very lucky that the apartment block is in good condition after the previous tenants, the burners in the kitchen may not work
A good dorm, the best of all the BSTU dorms. It is blocky, the block has its own sink, toilet and shower. There are 2 rooms in the block, in theory there should be 2 people in one, 3 in the other, but due to the fact that 4 dormitories are being reconstructed now, 4 live in a room where three people should live. But it's still better than the bellhop type of dorm.As in almost all dormitories of any university there are cockroaches, but there are few of them, there are practically none in the room, but in the kitchen(.They often hold interesting events in the hostel, there is a student atmosphere, but they do not steal food from the kitchen!)It is also very cool that the hostel is located 7-10 minutes from the university and in the center of Minsk.Near the train station and Pervomaiskaya metro station, it is very convenient. But there is a disadvantage that there are no shops nearby and you need to go either to the Intersection, or to the hit, or to the neighbors. If you have the opportunity to live in this hostel, then I am happy for you.
the best hostel in the ratio of falea and cockroaches. If you like cockroaches, then you are here. If you get drunk with Faley, then you can be chic, carry an underground electric kettle with you, because the plates are in the offsetting and you will warm the water for 3 years
It's average, but if you compare it with other BSTU dormitories, then this is the best. The university is a 10-minute walk away. There are blocks without cockroaches, there are with them. There is a kitchen, a garbage chute, an ironing room, a self-preparation room on the floor, and some have additional rooms for the teacher, a billiard room and the like. The dorm also has a health center and a buffet (canteen (local tavern)). Of the electrical appliances, it is allowed to have 1 hair dryer (they say you can also use a curling iron, but not a fact) per room, as well as a refrigerator and laptops, but they need to be registered, the rest is prohibited. There are also some kind of weird events often.
He lived here from 2015 to 2018. I do not know about the current state of affairs, so I will write about it in the past tense.
At that time, this hostel was the best in terms of repair quality among all in BSTU. I do not claim that it is a fact, but they said that the repairs were made for the 2014 Hockey World Cup. I learned from the teacher's speech at the floor meeting that the dormitory was built for the 1980 Olympics.
The location is very convenient, because the university buildings were a 7-minute walk away, and the stadium is nearby. There was a dining room on the ground floor, which was open on weekdays. From the point of view of the geography of Minsk, the place to stay is ideal, practically the center of Minsk, many famous sights of Minsk are in relative proximity (Minsk train station and Gates, Oktyabrskaya Square, Lenin Square, Nemiga Street, etc.).
The hostel has a block type. There are two rooms in each block - 2-bed and 3-bed. There is also a toilet and a bathroom in the block. Based on one person, there was: a locker, a place in a common bedside table (usually for storing dishes), a bedside table. There was also one table per room. The windows are plastic double-glazed windows, in winter it was not necessary to tape the joints. On one floor there is one kitchen with 4 electric stoves (4 burners each). There were also washbasins for washing dishes in the kitchen.
Now about the cons.
1. As I have already read in previous comments, the leadership here is "sovdep" and it is not difficult to disagree with this. All people who have some kind of position in the hostel, starting from a simple church nurse, ending with the head, believe that all students owe them something. "A resident must work 3 hours once a month for the benefit of the hostel, must comply with the rules of residence, must take care of the property of the hostel" - these are all typical debts. It's just that if you don't fulfill any of your "debts", then the proceedings can be heard from neighboring buildings. It's not a very pleasant moment.
2. There is a so-called "operation room" inside the dormitory. These are the same students as everyone else, only they walk through the blocks in search of prohibited electrical appliances. The rules of the hostel state that "electric heaters are prohibited", "extension cords without a mains filter are prohibited" and a bunch of other prohibitions. So opera periodically goes and looks into the blocks in search of such devices. If they see it, then an act is drawn up and this device is withdrawn. Well, it can't be helped, these are the rules. You can try to take the device back from the reader after a short period of time (for example, a week), but you can no longer take the act (without having friends among the "operas"). The presence of the act lowers the assessment by the hostel for your accommodation at the end of the year (for those who need a hostel for the next year, this is quite important). The assessment is made by the head, she has the entire history of residence (workings, acts and other jambs).
3. Quite often there are floor meetings where attendance is considered mandatory. As a rule, an official from the university or from the dormitory comes and tells about what offenses took place, etc. In general, nothing interesting and for some reason mostly about one negative. Such moments were very annoying, because some students are working, some students just want to relax or sleep, and then the floor supervisor or the teacher flies into the block and let's kick everyone out into the hall on the floor. Now the 21st century is in the yard, you can create a group in some messenger and drop the necessary information there, so there will be a greater chance that someone will read it.
4. The existence of a hierarchical system in terms of positions. There is a teacher - an employee of the hostel, then below - the head of the floor - an ordinary student, then the head of the block - an ordinary student (your neighbor or even you) and then only you. And if you commit some significant mistake, then because of this, all these people will get "hit" in the opposite order. I do not think that army standards should be transferred to civilian life, but this is my personal opinion.
5. To connect the Internet in the block, I had to queue for more than an hour, because there are 16 rooms on the floor, and there are 15 floors in total and people were standing on the connection from each room. It happened that we stood until 22 o'clock and then they told us that they were no longer working today, they say, come tomorrow.
6. The presence of earnings is a completely incomprehensible duty of yours. It is believed that once a month, at any time free from the university, you must come to the head / commandant / teacher and ask them to give you some task to close the practice. It's just that a student pays for living in a hostel and he is still obliged to work for him. Personally, I would agree to an additional payment, but without having a debt in the form of wasting my own time. There are very different ways to close workings, so for new people I do not advise you to rush immediately to perform workings.
7. There are so-called review contests 2 times a year. This is an event when officials from the university are invited and, together with the dormitory administration, go through all the blocks on the floor and look at their condition. It even goes as far as checking for dust under the refrigerator, they can move the bed and check the dust on the baseboards. Although this is a rare event, the preparation for it is controlled very strictly by the educator. Personally, my opinion is that no one needs a "show-off". Moreover, such an event has winners, but there are no advantages from winning (although there is a story that the winners are one hundred percent likely to be settled in a dormitory).
8. There is also a sanitary control. It's the same as the operation group (ordinary students), but instead of searching for a "forbidden", they are engaged in evaluating the state of the block. Again, their grades don't affect anything, so it's a completely meaningless organization that only adds extra care.
I gave 4 stars mainly for the fact that some of the best years of my life are associated with this place and all the disadvantages mentioned above do not overshadow all the positive moments that were during that time
A wonderful hostel with good conditions. The only downside is that there are too many people in Ashka due to the renovation of 4 dormitories. It is convenient and close to the university)
The opera is the best, a friend received an act because he was sitting on the toilet and he ran out of paper, and since I handed it to him, the toilet also received an act for noise. I advise everyone.
There are a lot of cockroaches, especially in the kitchen. We added a 4th bed to the three-bed room, so there is even less space. Foreigners leave shit in the kitchen all the time (and our non-angels often do) and cook smelly food. People clogged the garbage chute all the time and locked it, we had to go outside. There were similar situations with the kitchen that it was closed for a week. Paid laundry. At the beginning of the year it was 2.5 rubles, then 3, by June it became 3.5 rubles. The plus is that the dormitory is of a block type.
The best hostel in the city. The location allows you to wake up to couples 20 minutes before them 🤔
Of the cons for 2020:
-a 4th bed was added to the room for 3
-hence there are few places to store things (although they added a wardrobe and a bedside table, but there is no new shelf in the same shower)
-it is often pointless to sit on the floor in the form of a floor attendant
- canforks do not work everywhere (it is better to keep silent about ovens)
-many of the decor items in the room are prohibited
-you can only take a hair dryer from electrical appliances
-an inconvenient toilet in the sense that the doors in some (or even all, but I'm not sure) open inside
-there is an opportunity to get to the dead room
-the garbage chute is often clogged, which causes cockroaches on the floor
the best hostel, good conditions and few cockroaches! we live with a friend like in a hotel, we don't even want to go home, there are very cool teachers and the head!
It's terrible, living with cockroaches, then the light doesn't work, then the shower, then unita doesn't laugh, and it's all expensive, but they live in other dorms for pennies, and everything is great!!!
A good hostel!
Positive:
-very close to BSTU University
- Pervomaiskaya metro station is within walking distance
-city center
Minuses:
- I was not settled here
Not a bad hostel. If the management had worked normally, then the domestic insects would have been evicted. There are a lot of cockroaches. Floor wardens are not always chosen wisely.
The septic tank. Super uncomfortable. Komenda does not speak flatteringly about the residents. Let her be offended! The kettle doesn't want to give it away.
It's a great dorm. Cons:
-cockroaches can run through
-it is possible to wash, but not to dry
-ovens don't work everywhere
-you can't use electric appliances
-do not hang shelves, posters, garlands, etc. on the wall.
the place is not bad, but far from ideal.
I would rate the comfort at 7-8/10.
the most terrible commandant you will ever see.
The sounds of the train didn't bother me.
The beds are comfortable to sleep in.
It's cold in winter, the windows are blowing.
in summer + is normal.
