We went in 2022 at the end of January. The service is one of the worst that has ever been encountered: food: French fries, fried sausages, pancakes, burgers, fruits of 2-3 types at most, which was very surprising, since the tropics, seafood was also practically non-existent (1-2 types of fried fish). We rested at this hotel on 02/27/12.- 03/11/12. The weather is comfortable, the beach is wonderful, the ocean is gentle, there are waves, there were algae, but they are cleaned from the shore in the morning. I liked the hotel, the hotel grounds too. The work of the animators and the evening entertainment program are at the highest level. The food is decent, there is food for every taste. Seafood is very scarce: fish and squid. The bars have a variety of drinks for every taste. But... there are disadvantages that I would like to share. 1. it is very cold in restaurants because of the working air conditioners, there are no small spoons and straws for cocktails; 2. in the rooms on the ground floors (not the sunny side) it is very humid, clothes are wet. 3. Upon arrival, the following items did not work in our room: hair dryer, iron. It's useless to talk at the reception, we've been contacted many times, but we haven't done it. There are no ear sticks. The coffee in the room was updated 2 times in 10 days, only after they complained at the reception. The electronic lock on the front door broke, it was adjusted from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Two workers were doing everything very, very slowly. NOTHING CHANGED after the dollars left in the room! All sites write about a huge number of bars, if you are not a frequent guest at the hotel, the bars on the beach are closed to you, the nearest bar from the ocean is 300 meters from the ocean, near the pool. All the promised cocktails are most often not made due to the lack of ingredients, then there is no sprite, tonic, Cola. If you want champagne -50/50, as luck would have it, it will be in the bar at all. In general, you can be content with beer and rum, these drinks are always available.
The staff is friendly and smiling, but not in bars - there, they do you a favor that they pour ...) queues at bars reach 8-10 people. The Internet at the hotel is expensive, we bought a SIM card in the store behind the barrier for $ 5. It was enough for 6 days. WF is paid, solved by a local SIM card for $ 5 for 5 days. Very friendly staff, which is a rarity in our hotels! There are many souvenir shops within a 10-minute walk behind the barrier, and a decent Russian store. To large supermarkets only by taxi. The hotel is mainly inhabited by Spanish speakers - Argentina, Venezuela, Spain, Portugal, a lot of Americans and Canadians, and there are enough of ours! ) In general, a solid 4!!!

Good day to everyone. We rested in the Dominican Republic (January 2020) at the Ossidental hotel. We were incredibly impressed. Delicious cuisine, abundance of restaurants, interactive and active animation, insanely positive staff. A clean beach. A large area. We strongly recommend visiting this place.
A super hotel!!! A solid five, everything is at a very high level: check-in is fast, taking into account the wishes. The room is spacious, there is a large balcony, everything works perfectly in the bathroom. There are no questions about cleaning. The beach and the ocean are beyond praise!!! Animation every day. I recommend it to everyone.
We are currently staying at this hotel in December 2019.
The territory of the hotel is large, well maintained, well decorated.
We lived in the 10th building on the 1st floor, it was noisy for us, we moved to the 11th to the 2nd floor, it became much quieter.
In terms of food, there was enough for us, children aged 5 and 2 could always choose the right food for themselves (oatmeal.porridge, fruits, eggs, omelets, chicken).
The children attended a children's club. A friendly Esperansa girl works in the club, there are a lot of toys and all kinds of games in the club.
There are always sun beds on the beach.
The hotel itself is very beautiful, the rooms are in good condition.
There are 3 swimming pools, 1 large with a bar in the pool itself and 2 smaller ones.
The beach is nearby, 2 minutes and you are there, there are no algae and generally the entire hotel is always cleaned.
As for the food, to be honest, I didn't really like it, but with the sweet there's a lot of choice, the sweet tooth will like it.

good afternoon.My husband and I came to the Dominican Republic for the first time at the Occidental Punta Cana Hotel.we drove 12 hours + 1 hour drive from the airport . We 've finally arrived .We go to the reception and there are no air conditioners -fans - 40 of us arrived, the heat is stuffy .But we got in line like at the airport.The staff does not really understand Russian, they explained everything and went to look for their room.It turns out that they carry suitcases on typewriters there, but we did not understand. We went on foot with a suitcase and found it and settled in. 24 building , 1st floor .the room is nice, large bed, exit from the balcony -table, 2 chairs and 2 sun beds nearby.What surprised me was an iron, an ironing board, floor scales and an umbrella, the rest is like everywhere else gel shampoo hair dryer, etc. and even a coffee maker with coffee and a thermos. But we did not come to consider the room-the beach is very good, you will always find large sun beds, well, maybe you had to cross the shade because there are no canopies, but there is a shade from palm trees.Oekan is super who swims well and with small children - big waves.It wasn 't the first time even we could get in and out .The water is warm. Swim away and swing on the waves or jump.The staff is very friendly by the end of our vacation, they began to speak Russian.Now about the restaurant there is a lot of food the food is varied meat chicken pork fish from morning to evening a lot of vegetables in different types and stewed and baked and fried pitza cheese rice vermicelli French fries and so on ice cream but I liked pineapples more.Now about the excursions, our guide praised fr.Catalina, but we were somehow not impressed. We arrived at La Romana airport and flew with AZur airline-the flight conditions are disgusting, on the way back the food is, to put it mildly, disgusting.....come up with one yourself.If possible, fly with another airline.
Everything is fine, two disappointments: a fish restaurant and a steakhouse are not recommended. Everything else is fine. Ask for champagne everywhere - it's everywhere, but they don't talk about it.
Three stars only for service, food and long queues for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There are cockroaches in the rooms. The staff gave us a raid...with flax, the ocean blooms with a lot of algae. And so everything is more or less.
