A very decent movie theater. Working since Soviet times, after repair it is brought to a "candy" state. Both the facade and, most importantly, the interiors please any, however armed, eye. Light blue armchairs and purple walls create a "cornflower blue" mood! Along the back wall there are so-called heart seats marked with the words "Love seats". The row numbers are highlighted in the extreme places - also a convenient element of the interior. The passage to the auditorium is from the back rows. The sound when showing films plays as it should.
I still think, and this probably applies to all cinemas, that before the film itself, the block of announced pictures should be smaller. 5-6 minutes instead of 15 is our optimum. It's good that there are new products, and there is something to announce, But a larger number of stands with posters can partially replace a long block of advertised kin. Anyone who wants to will look, and someone may perceive the display of all the announced material on the screen as an imposition.

My favorite and native cinema. I've been visiting it for more than half a century. I can't say that I do it regularly, because I don't always live in Gomel. But it's always a little holiday for me. The cinema withstood all the unpleasant historical moments of our lives, but retained the warmth and comfort of my distant youth. It didn't get any worse. Even better than it was. A big bow to the administration and staff of the cinema for this. They have done a lot to equip the cinema with modern equipment. The halls have comfortable upholstered furniture, very cozy and calm. Order is constantly maintained. Everything is clean and beautiful. I think that Oktyabr is one of the best cinemas in Gomel.

Despite the fact that the cinema, as vekipedia says, was opened in 1940, everything inside looks decent. The hall is equipped with modern equipment and appliances. Repairs have been made. A whole football team of 15 children and 3 adults accompanied came to visit from St. Petersburg. I was very pleased with the attitude of the cashiers and all the staff of the cinema towards us. They gave us a good discount, told us, showed us everything.Thanks a lot for that. The children liked it very much. The session was held in one go. We had a good time.
