Prices are slightly higher than other markets, but sellers make concessions, you can lower prices. If you are a student, they make concessions to you and there are still supplements. Overall 4 out of 5
Oriental atmosphere, calories of the oriental market. I really liked the natural honey from pasika from Lyudmila from the Honey House. I've never tasted anything tastier. They accept any type of payment, which pleased me.
It's a pity without the photo, but it's cool there. The locals say it's for tourists, the prices for locals are very high, but it's not very crowded, no one grabs their hands and drags them to their stall. There is a wide selection of products from vegetables and fruits to local nutty dry-fruit exotics. It's worth a visit.

Clear. Everything is there. Culturally. Prices are normal. With a local flavor, but an incredibly pleasant and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it. There is a beautiful cafe outside the middle gate. Very tasty. Culturally. Wooden gazebo. The staff is very professional, polite, and try their best. Pilaf is great and there is always
I like the fact that all the products there are high-quality, fresh. The product range is large. The price is higher than in other markets, but the quality of the product is worth it.
One of the favorite bazaars, but compared to the previous state, everything has become expensive.
A beautiful bazaar, with high-quality products, there are cafes to eat delicious food.
Pros in a large assortment of products from all over the world, fish, cheeses, sauces, chocolate, meat delicacies, etc., the price of delicacies considering their origin is responsible, but the price of fruits and vegetables of a local producer is several times more expensive compared to other markets, the same vegetables and fruits can be found in other markets they are not worth it take a trip to the road in Alai
You can take tourists and guests of the city who are not yet versed in prices. I consider it the most expensive market in Tashkent. But there are also advantages: in the evening after 16:00, you can really bargain and reduce the cost of products by 30-40%, you can find everything in this market, even pork. An undoubted plus, excellent jewelry stores with good prices and real bargaining.
An expensive bazaar, but selected products (fruits, seafood, dairy department. I recommend dairy products from Gulyap) imported products are also in a large assortment
The advantage is that there is everything, quality, cleanliness.
However, this is not the market that it was before(
But time changes a lot.
Good quality products,a huge selection.
All you need is money)
It's not cheap.
The market is very convenient and good. In this market, you can find literally everything that is necessary for you. Everything is high-quality and selected. However, prices are slightly more expensive than in other markets and stores. The location is convenient and there is parking.
Central market. Equipped and put in order. Prices bite, because sellers are aimed at tourists who are taken there in droves. A big plus is that if you start haggling and show knowledge of local prices on Chorsu and Yunusabad market, then the price drops sharply. The product is sold of high quality. Sellers are benevolent and ready for discounts on weekends in the evenings. Suet and herring in the far pavilion on the 2nd floor
I was in Tashkent for the second time, visiting the market before returning home is a mandatory procedure. The Alai market is good: clean, neatly lined rows, beautifully presented products, polite and unobtrusive sellers. The assortment is limited to fruit, berry and vegetable products. For fans, "I came, I didn't choose for long, I bought" the very place. However, it is better to look for the whole flavor of the oriental bazaar in the Chorsu market. That's where the trade is for lower prices, and a wider range, including clothes and souvenirs. If you want to leave a memory of the oriental tradition of the bazaar, then you should go to Chorsu
A high-quality grocery bazaar , the price is certainly above average , there is a lot that can be found , the bazaar is quite large , so there are appliances and all sorts of accessories 🔥
The market is mainly focused on visiting tourists. The prices are too high. However, the goods there are selected. There are cheaper bazaars in Tashkent. However, in other markets, if they feel that you are not a local, they will also inflate the price. The East is a delicate matter.
We were on the market in September. Very clean and well maintained market. But. The choice of fruits is not very, the prices are high. I immediately wanted to go to the Preobrazhensky market in Moscow. I was surprised how it is in Moscow and the prices are lower and the choice is richer than in Tashkent!
Dear market for dear guests, come here for souvenirs and gifts. There are few people, a lot of sellers, there is a place to eat delicious food. Everything will be polite, unobtrusive, you will find everything you are looking for.
The bazaar itself is located almost in the center of Tashkent. Food in Uzbekistan is almost everywhere delicious and not expensive. Fruits are always fresh, but the price is higher than in other bazaars in Tashkent
The Alai market is good: clean, neatly lined rows, beautifully presented products, polite and unobtrusive sellers. The assortment is limited to fruit, berry and vegetable products. For fans, "I came, I didn't choose for long, I bought" the very place.
The prices are cosmic, but everything is of excellent quality, and almost everything is there!

The good old Alai market. Unfortunately, the reforms killed him, as did everything they touched). Convenient location, the quality of goods, fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products is excellent, there is little choice. The market is still clean and well maintained. It used to be considered expensive, but now prices in the city have leveled off. Faces are partly sad and partly angry, happy - rarely. Previously, both sellers and buyers knew each other a little, greeted each other, nodded, exchanged greetings, now the people are mostly stray. It was always possible to eat tasty and inexpensive food, now I don't know.
The prices are cosmic, the choice is good, I took meat, very good, fresh, delicious, I haven't eaten this for a long time. The location is great, in the city center. Rather, the market is for tourists, it is expensive for ordinary people
Expensive, Rich. The margins on the product are terribly high. Tourists are being deceived in terms of money very much. But you can find something that will be hard to find in other places, but in my opinion it's not worth it!
An interesting place for a non-native to visit. But you need the character and knowledge of the mentality of local sellers to make a successful purchase. I ask how much it costs, and the numbers flash in the seller's eyes - how much should I name? He asks a neighbor, he says 50 thousand, and he already tells me 75 :))
When I first came to the Alai Bazaar, I was amazed by the huge variety of goods and people who traded and bought here. I was so busy looking for the products I needed that I didn't even notice how I accidentally bumped into a girl.
She apologized and smiled at me. I couldn't take my eyes off her beautiful green eyes and long brown hair. We started talking, and I found out that her name is Nilufar and she has been working at the Alai Bazaar for several years.
We spent several hours together, walking through the rows and buying various products. I learned a lot of interesting things about her life and work at the bazaar. Nilufar was a very friendly and intelligent girl, and I began to feel special feelings for her.
Since then, we started going to the Alai bazaar every day together. We buy groceries, clothes and other things together, communicate with other merchants and customers. Every day we find something new and interesting that makes our lives brighter and more intense.
Now I am happy that I accidentally met Nilufar at the Alai bazaar. We are in love with each other and happy to spend time together. I am grateful to this place for bringing me to the love of my life.
I have been going to Alai for 50 years, because I live nearby, but now I mainly buy dairy products - cottage cheese, sour cream. The rest is more expensive than in other markets. The Yunusabad market is cheaper.
The products are all selected and everything is fresh, although the prices are much higher than in other markets. I really like the sausage department on the second floor.
I really love it for its conciseness, color and quality of goods! The prices are worth the goods that sometimes you will not find in other places, ranging from ordinary products or delicacies to precious jewelry! I invite all my guests from other countries to take a walk there, if there is a time limit. Great location and plenty of parking space. Always order and cleanliness! And a very beautiful hospitable attitude throughout the bazaar)))
I do not argue beautifully that we see products from having a TV at home, there is an opportunity to see in kind and feel rich. But they don't charge money to look at it, and beautiful packaging is not the main thing! Uzbek proverb before buying a blanket, measure the length of your legs. On the second floor, pros sell and the quality of duck fat is dairy, the only place where they will clean the herring (of course for money) the rest is a template (bazaar - basket uz.) The old town is a bazaar cleaner than kuylyuk in general, the real Tashkent market is the old town. And Alai is for show-offs!!!
Food prices are more expensive than in other bazaars! The only plus is that fresh seafood, homemade sausages and other delicacies are sold on the territory of the Alai bazaar. In addition, you can buy carcasses of domestic chickens, turkeys, geese, and ducks all year round.
It would be very cool if they watched it as an archetypal legacy.... And so the usual collapse once in a very beautiful place... No standards of service, no standards of window dressing.... Like VDNH in the 2000s.
The only bazaar where there are rare meat and fish delicacies from different countries!High-quality dairy products! I recommend everyone to visit this market at least once a year! Treat yourself and your loved ones with the goodies that they sell there!
A small bazaar in the city center with high prices (compared to other markets). But everything is there, everything is neat and clean enough, and, most importantly, you do not need to go far.
That's what it is, the legendary Alai bazaar, which is glorified by numerous tea houses throughout Russia. It is beautiful, diverse, clean, there are no beggars, more expensive than in Samarkand and Bukhara
A great place to buy your own products. I especially want to highlight the meat and dairy building, where you can buy fresh homemade kefir, chicken, chakki, sausage, etc.
The bazaar has all the fruits and vegetables, you can choose the ones you like, at the entrance they will exchange any currency for soums, as well as buy gold. The prices are the most profitable, and it is fashionable to bargain and get discount discounts even in the basket. A large selection of sea products, as well as a whole meat and dairy center, a large number of Parking lots around the base. There are also snack bars, a burger joint and national cafes with samsa and pilaf around.
Our Native Alai Bazaar. How he has changed. Got prettier. But they still like to bargain there, as in the old days. No one has canceled the customs. I wish you all happiness!
