My son really wanted to go to the funicular, we decided to save money and go on our own. Don't do that! We took the state bus, I asked the driver of the Olympus funicular, but he took us to transfer to the bus in the village of Olympus, which is 2 times further. From there, I had to take a taxi for $30. In general, it is better to go with a tour bus, it is impossible to get from the highway on your own. But my son was very impressed by the rise and the view. But of course it is very expensive. Children under 12 receive a 50 percent discount.

It is difficult to get to this place on your own. We were traveling from the center of Kemer on the express number 8, which takes us to the barrier. From the barrier, it is still 7 km to get to the funicular in the hill. Together with the ticket, we bought a transfer to the funicular from the barrier. They took us there quickly enough: we waited 10 minutes near the barrier. There were problems with the way back. There is no transfer schedule anywhere. We were told to wait half an hour for the car to drive down to the barrier. After half an hour, they said that they had to wait another half hour, because the car was busy. We could have taken a taxi, but we had a round-trip transfer. After the showdown in raised tones, their boss came out and said that "so be it, we'll take you now." Then the express back to Kemer is waiting right on the side of the highway. It is not clear why they did not make a stop near such a tourist place. I suppose to give the taxi drivers a chance to earn money. It is most convenient to go there by car, parking is available right by the funicular.

You should not go in the summer in the heat (the locals said that it was hard to see because of this), as for me, there is nothing interesting there, not in the heat, mountains are like mountains (well, yes, and what else did I want to see there). The only thing I wanted to try was to climb the funicular to such a height, but since there are 30-40 people in the cabin, at 39 degrees Celsius, this entertainment turned into flour. You also need to defend a huge queue to climb the funicular in the mountain, then defend to go down. The ticket price upset me the most-3,300 rubles per person! Everything is expensive on the mountain (2 corn and 1 juice-800 rubles).
