Charming mosque on the shores of the Bosphorus! Ortakoy is one of the most picturesque places in Istanbul, and the mosque with its elegant minarets and luxurious interior perfectly complements this beauty. It is especially beautiful at sunset when the sun is reflected in the water.
It's very cozy inside, the stained glass windows create a magical atmosphere. There are many cafes nearby with delicious kumpira (baked potatoes) and sweets. Be sure to take a look if you're in the area!
Minus – it can be crowded, but the view is worth it.

It is a very beautiful mosque outside, small inside, entrance is free.
There is a pier nearby, where cafes and stalls are located.
We were in the cafe closest to the mosque: hookah 200-300 lire (I don't remember exactly), stuffed mussels 220 lire, potatoes with fillings 300 lire. But they charge 80 lire for the service of 1 person.
We bought thick, warm shawls there-the cost is 200 lire, you can bargain up to 180 lire.
The mosque can be reached from Eminene Pier for 47 lire and also back.
The Bosphorus Bridge is currently unlit and under restoration.

A beautiful mosque. Up close, it's not as small as it looks. It takes quite a long time to get from Sultanahmet, by tram T1 to the terminal and then by bus. There are a lot of people at the mosque on weekends. There is a market nearby. They sell handmade products: knitted, wooden, silver. Lots of cafes.
