In Soviet times, the Cathedral of St. Alexy of Moscow was our military club, where we practically lived. we were rehearsing (there was a military band and an ensemble) . Catherine's stables in the distant past, and in the USSR they were military barracks located next to the Cathedral. Abdurakhman Jami St. was Sovetskaya St. The Confucius Institute was a construction site... Wonderful times, pleasant memories and great joy that the Cathedral of St. Alexy of Moscow has found and acquired a second life again!. Peace and good health to all!!!
I often go there, the atmosphere is very favorable, the staff are friendly and always ready to help, a good location, a comfortable place and incredibly beautiful, Be sure to go
The Temple of God!
Greatness, beauty, pleasant singing of the choir.
Father Igor serves very well! There is always a sense of the presence of "higher powers" in the service.
A large, beautiful cathedral with a three-tiered iconostasis. The Liturgy begins at 8:30, the evening service at 15:30. I liked how the reader, very clearly, read the clock. The shop is located inside the temple, where you can buy candles and submit notes.
A wonderful Temple.
I was at Sunday service.
Only some facts overshadow:
for some reason, there are many women without headscarves and in trousers (not tourists) and almost no one makes prostrations even before the Communion cup.
The choir is weak. A father without a beard and a short-cropped one is also not quite an ordinary phenomenon, but he served the service very well.
The largest Orthodox church in the city. It was built in the 19th century. Active, services are being held. It is located in the city center, next to the boulevard.
The building was built in 1912. In Soviet times, the church was located on the territory of a military unit and was closed. It is currently active. We went to put candles on, a very nice woman met us, told us a little about the history of the temple, invited us to Friday service. There was a very pleasant feeling after visiting this place.
