Africa…
Don't expect too much…
3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The local flavor prevails!
A cozy room with a terrace.
A gorgeous bed.
Having a free safe in the room is a huge plus.
Conditioner.
Electric kettle .
Cups.
A bottle of drinking water .
Tea and coffee were replenished.
Daily high-quality room cleaning.
Change of linen and towels every 2 days.
Combined shower and bathroom.
There is a hair dryer.
Shower gel, shampoo.
There is a small swimming pool on site.
A huge disadvantage is the location /among residential buildings/ , VERY compact!
3 minutes walk to the beach.
The hotel has its own sun beds on the beach/guarded/
Beach towels are provided free of charge.
On the beach, it is very annoying to have a huge number of locals, merchants, dancers, in the ocean. a huge number of fishing boats, scooters.
Constant tides…
The ocean is warm and clean.
There is a current.
You can go once.…
This trip to Zanzibar was our most expensive trip, and in fact we got the following:
The only advantage is the hotel room (overlooking the pool).
The other disadvantages are periodic shutdowns of lights and water, repairs and drilling of rooms for tourists, lack of towels and their dirty appearance, the presence of a huge number of flies and wasps at breakfast, a poor selection of dishes, 4 cases of simultaneous poisoning in the hotel, shabby sun beds and leaky mattresses.
Choose other hotels if you don't want to ruin your vacation.
All over the island: an unsafe ocean with hedgehogs and blowfish, fish, stars and snakes. Pesky Maasai, local. Unsanitary conditions, dirt. And someone is still being treated for malaria.
If comfort is at least a little important to you, avoid this hotel. I'm going to tell you how much fun we had on vacation here, so that you definitely won't repeat our mistakes.
Staff
Upon arrival, they simply gave me a key and escorted me to my room, without bothering to explain how to survive here at all. For example, did you know that room cleaning, water, tea and coffee are only available if you leave the key at the reception? We didn't know. We also took an ice shower for several days, thinking it was a problem with the hot water supply. It turns out that you had to press some kind of magic toggle switch, which, of course, no one said.
By the way, we weren't even warned that it's better not to go into the water at low tide, because you can step on sea urchins. Who do you think learned this from their own experience? Of course we are!
If you start expressing your dissatisfaction, one of the administrators starts being rude, as if I was disturbing her rest. The only joy is Agnes, the second administrator, who somehow tried to solve problems and was friendly.
Water
The pressure is weak, but you can wash. The electricity is often turned off, and the water does not have time to heat up, so most likely you will wash under cold water. If there is one at all. In recent days, there was simply no water, and in order to at least wash, I had to take drinking water. So when you come after the beach, don't be surprised if you don't have a chance to wash up.
Number
I booked an Aquamarine room. The photo shows a huge balcony, swings, deck chairs, a cute table. In reality: a small, stripped-down balcony with a table and two wooden chairs that could give you a splinter in the butt. When asked where the deck chairs were, the answer was brilliant: It was raining heavily and the balcony had to be closed. Excuse me, did it rain? A worldwide flood? (a photo of what is stated and what I attach as a result)
Breakfast
Every morning we enjoyed the same food. If you think it's boring, then no — it's a sport! First, breakfast needs to be protected from wasps, which clearly considered themselves the main guests. Secondly, if you look away for a second, a crow can steal your pancake. Although, I admit, it was funny to watch it.
Beach
The beach itself is really beautiful, but this is the only plus. The sun beds resemble works of art in the "post-apocalypse" style: only one mattress remains, covered with a fabric similar to potato sacks.
At low tide, you need to swim very carefully, literally right next to the shore, if you do not want to get acquainted with hedgehogs. If you suddenly get acquainted, write to the hotel guide right away, they will take you to the hospital and treat the wound. It's all included in the insurance, so it will be free. A "beach" doctor may also come up to you and offer his help — he will ask for $ 15 for this.
And most importantly, you won't be able to relax and enjoy the sound of the waves. Every minute, another merchant will approach you and try to sell everything he can. Sandals, figurines, jewelry, etc. in general, they will not let you relax.
Noise
If you are a light sleeper, then you will not be able to get enough sleep. A nearby cafe is playing music until 3 a.m., as if we were at a disco. Even a closed balcony does not save. The guards and administrators can't do anything (or don't want to), so I personally went to negotiate.
Electricity
The lights were turned off whenever and for as long as they wanted. From a couple of seconds to several hours. Well, the whole island suffers from this, so it's not just the hotel's problem.
If you want an extreme vacation with quest elements, welcome! I strongly recommend everyone else to look for another place.
