My favorite place in Istanbul. a cozy courtyard of the monastery itself , a miraculous spring inside. I really like spending time there. beautiful icons, statues, tombstones on the floor. Even his own small cemetery

The church is very beautiful. You can go up to the 2nd floor. Bulgarian is so close to Russian that everything is clear - where to put candles, where to write notes. It seemed interesting that the architecture of the church is more like a Catholic one - there are no familiar and lovely bulbs for us. But inside everything is like ours. If you go to the Balat district, it is very easy to find this temple.

Peace and tranquility reign here. A beautiful temple, a well-maintained spring. I went to Istanbul specifically to visit this place. It's a little difficult to find it on your own, but you can. A spiritual and beautiful temple. The story inside and around… You can get water in the underground temple, and there are also ready-made water bottles. There is no need to pay for candles in a fixed amount, there are just donation boxes. The church, even if you come alone, is opened by the caretaker.

We visited this Holy Place on an excursion with my wife on the second day of our stay in Istanbul. The welcoming travel agency conducted a sightseeing tour of Istanbul. An amazing place, with its own aura. We were very impressed by what we saw and what the guide told us. It's probably hard to find this place yourself. The courtyard is covered with marble slabs that are worth special attention. According to legend, there is a fish swimming in the spring. So I was lucky enough to see her, but I couldn't take a picture. Pitifully. The monks offer to take holy water. We took a few small bottles with great pleasure.

From the trolleybus stop (not far from the panorama of the attack on Constantinople), walk at a calm pace for about 30 minutes. First you walk along the dilapidated walls of Constantinople, then through the territory of the local cemetery. The church is Catholic. There are not many parishioners. You need to go down a small staircase to the source.
We took water, put candles, and sat in the shade of the trees.
There is a cafe next to the temple where you can drink coffee or tea with a croissant.
