I was relaxing alone on Palolem Beach at the Wavelet Beach Resort in December 2023.
I must say right away that the sunsets on Palolem beach are of extraordinary beauty.
The wave is not very high, the entrance to the water is gentle. Clean sand on the shore and in the water: without debris, shells, corals, algae. The water temperature is super comfortable. I don't know how many degrees it is, but when you come in, you feel a pleasant freshness. I did not leave the water for 1.5-2 hours, hanging in the weightlessness of salt water like a hippopotamus. But the water is not very clear, and the sand is gray, not as beautiful as they say in some descriptions of the beach.
To my surprise, despite the large number of stray cows and dogs, everything is very clean on the beach, there are garbage cans. Every day I watched how the sand was swept and garbage collected at each neck.
There are many sun beds with umbrellas, which can be occupied at least for the whole day, taking a drink or a meal in an adjacent cafe.
There were very few people on the beach, and Hindu companies appeared on weekends.
Hindus are very friendly and welcoming people. Stores usually don't like to bargain, they give in reluctantly.
I was resting alone and I didn't feel any danger.
A super beach. Horseshoe-shaped, beautiful, palm-rock. On the edge, on one side, the river flows into, it can be crossed into a ford, and behind it there is also a cool deserted beach and monkeys in trees, kingfishers, crabs, eagles, etc. On the other side, a stream and a rock also flow in, followed by another beach. The most unpleasant place is in the central part of the beach, where boats with fishermen, garbage and smell come, all beef and dogs are concentrated there. There are plenty of Shekels, standard prices, accommodation on the first line with a sea view 4-6 rooms / day. The waves are moderate, the children are fine. There are not very many pesky "buses with saris and beads" walking along the beach. The beach is swept every day (!) along the entire length by Indian grandmothers.
Calm, delicious, friendly. We stayed at the Palolem Beach resort. The territory of the Hotel is well maintained. Cozy, clean. 50 meters to the ocean. Hatha yoga practices are conducted on the premises. I recommend
One of the best and cleanest beaches in south Goa. A wide variety of cafes. You can safely occupy the sun beds, even ordering a bottle of water. Very polite staff in all establishments.
Sarovar Hotel, Palolem is one of the best in the area.
A wonderful beautiful place! A little noisy! There are a lot of people all the time. Delicious food all over the beach. The people are very hospitable, very involved. Excellent service at the hotel.
Beautiful but small! There is nowhere to walk in the evening, one day is enough. Nice cafe with a sea view! I don't like it when there is no sabotage and monotony, I'm not writing a book yet. So one day, the descent is extremely slow to the depths. We were probably unlucky that day - there were waves
It's a great place! A calm ocean, a fairly gentle entrance to the sea, ideal for bathing children. A great option for families with children. Of the minuses, there is nothing to do after 22. But this did not prevent us from having a wonderful relaxing holiday)
Of the beaches in South Goa, Palolem Beach, located in the bay, was liked the most. This beach is the most famous in South Goa. There is crisp sand, calm waves, which is probably why kayaking in the sea is developed. From Betalbaltim. we drove a rented car for 1 hour 15 minutes (45 km). We were issued a car rental for at least 3 days for 3.5 thousand rupees. They had to drive at low speed, because the road is narrow, the driving is extremely complicated and unusual, they honk endlessly, traffic rules are often not observed. The crowded beach with sun loungers, cafes, parked fishing boats, souvenir shops and other shops made us fall in love with ourselves. Compared to the same Kolva, the prices for hb T-shirts turned out to be almost 2 times cheaper. The beach is located in the town of Palolem. Parking on the beach is paid -100 rupees. We started back after a shrimp dinner in a coastal shack. We left the beach back at 19 o'clock. It turned out that after 19 o'clock. heavy trucks make it very difficult to move, as a result, instead of 1 hour, we drove for more than 2 hours.
The best beach in South Goa. The calmest sea. Not suitable for surfing. You can't swim at night- jellyfish. There are many cafes with affordable prices and a good selection of food and drinks. A stunning sunset.
Nice quiet place. A shallow approach. Very suitable for children. There is entertainment on the water. Good container type houses. The cost per holiday and season is 3000 – 5000. It's worth visiting to stay for a couple of days
An excellent beach! If you go to GOA, then there!
You need to know basic English. A more Europeanized place, no one sticks to the beaches like in the Northern part of the state. There is a lot of delicious food, there are interesting places to walk on both sides of the beach.
It's a gorgeous beach, but keep in mind, there are no "cool" hotels there. I rented a villa, the price is more than adequate! There is a bazaar nearby in the town - everything costs a penny!
The beach is clean, cozy, a little more than 2 km long, along the coast there are various hotels, bungalows for every budget. There are a lot of cafes, you will not stay hungry. There are no noisy discos and some kind of night entertainment, it's useless to look here. There is a large market spread along the coast as well. There are 10 minutes to the center by tuke, pharmacies, shops and a market, but there are no large shopping centers, as in north Goa. You can also take a lot of excursions, not expensive for the whole day, if desired and possible. Generally a quiet, relaxing beach holiday.
Very nice beach. Dogs and cows walking back and forth were annoying at first, and then we got used to it and took it for granted, because this is India and the like is in the order of things. It is best to rent a house on the shore, so as not to bother walking along the road, where vehicles, pedestrians, and animals are traveling, and the road width is only 3.5 - 4 meters. I'm always on edge that you might get knocked down. Therefore, you have to drive a tuk-tuk (auto rickshaw). 100 rupees. You can rent a scooter for 300-400 rupees per day. The food is excellent, the price in different cafes differs, but not much. The soup is 100 rupees. The second is 200-300 rupees. Beer is 100 rupees.

A super place to relax, I will go and advise everyone
I was on vacation in GOA in March 19. Yes, Palolem Beach is red. But the impression was overshadowed by the absence of dogs. And there are many of them. It didn't bother my friends, but it bothered me a lot. We lived in a hotel near the beach, went to the beach through the village or goat trails through thickets of trees. It is already tactically impossible to pass the evening, because there is no lighting. It is possible only through the village. The village is dirty, very dirty. Cow and dog tortillas. This overshadowed the impression. Although I was told it was India, baby! My friends didn't pay attention to such, to put it mildly, little things. And the view of the beach is fascinating. Palm trees, palm trees, palm trees. Do not take excursions to butterfly Island. There is nothing there but locals sitting on the rocks and piles of garbage. Maybe we were taken to the wrong place? I'm not talking about dolphins at all. Are they there? By the way, the food was very tasty. We liked the Palolom of dream cafe. The ratio of quality and price is optimal.
It's good to swim here on the sea before lunch, it's not shallow, there are no waves. There are many cafes on the beach, you can eat delicious seafood, and the prices are just a freebie.
To me, this is the most beautiful in south Goa! There are many different excursions, including rafting on the river. The tour includes feeding eagles, golden eagles and eagles, there is a butterfly island nearby, there are many different shakes on the beach
