The birthday [May eighth] of this great Man Jean Henri Dunant [the first Nobel Peace Prize winner together with Frederic Passy] is celebrated as the International Day of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, as the actual initiator of the creation of the international humanitarian organization of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Alas, but "The man who made a humanitarian revolution in society died in poverty, forgotten by everyone."
In addition to the creation of a monument to Jean Henri Dunant in Minsk (this is an initiative of the Belarusian Red Cross).

Gorgeous guy. I've done a lot of milking for people. I don't think ktt knows much about him, but everyone knows the organization he founded. I think his monument could have been made bigger
