Monument to F.Skaryna stands in the center of the city of Polotsk.
It takes 10-20 minutes to walk from the train station in a straight line. There is a fountain and a bench nearby where you can sit down, relax and admire.
I recommend it to fans and connoisseurs of Belarusian culture.

He was born in Polotsk at the end of the 15th century. He studied at several universities and had academic degrees in medicine and liberal arts. In 1517, in Prague, he published the first book in the Belarusian language, the Bible, and translated it from Latin himself. And in general, the first in the East Slavic language, almost 40 years earlier than Ivan Fedorov.. For the most part, he lived in Vilna and Prague, promoted book printing.
