We were at Sunrise from 01.08 to 07.08.23. We came to this boarding house for the third time. On the plus side: they cook great in the cafe of the boarding house, the prices are reasonable, you do not need to run around looking for where to eat. Junior suite with refrigerator, shower, large balcony. There is a table and 2 chairs on the balcony. Titanium boiling water is available for guests at any time of the day in the courtyard. Plumbing, lighting in working condition.
Cons: the room has never been cleaned in 7 days of stay. The bed linen is old, stained, and the towels are washed. The guests themselves must fill up the linen upon check-in. For a week, two people were given one roll of toilet paper.
A friend joined us for a couple of days. Upon check-in, he was offered to pay for a double room in full, but that's okay, he paid. Breakfast, as it turned out, is not included in the payment for his room (the cost of breakfast is no more than 50 som, and a day's stay in his room cost 2000 som). The room was dirty upon check-in, the furniture was covered with dust, the bathroom and plumbing were unwashed, the windows were without curtains, despite the ground floor. Shower without curtain, in an emergency condition. in general, a friend washed with us. They didn't give him any towels, just a bed. Well, let it be an economy class room, let there be no carpet and balcony, but does a guest living in such a room and honestly paying for it in full have no right to respect, basic cleanliness and order?!
Good day to everyone.
Everything happens in life, so my wife and granddaughter and I visited Kyrgyzstan and Cholpan-Ata for the first time and had a chance to settle in this mini-boarding house. Although to be honest, the concept of a boarding house does not roll here at all.
The declared junior suites are similar to the rooms of boarding houses and sanatoriums a la the 70s!
The concept of room cleaning, it sounds like a swear word here)) In terms of furniture, everything is frankly pathetic, I can't say otherwise. The dirty carpets in the room only add to it and hide the terribly dirty linoleum.
The bathroom consists of a pallet of dirty tiles, a counter, a rusty shelf, a sink and a toilet bowl.
You have to go for toilet paper with your hand outstretched, soap in the bathroom only at your own expense, there is nowhere to hang the shower, apparently they tried to make a shower mount, but they did not calculate the length of the hose and left it unfinished. The lighting for the entire room is one dim bulb in a dirty ceiling.
As for the reception desk, this is not an expletive for the local service.
A desk and a chair and a "worn-out" sofa that's the whole counter)))
We arrived in the evening, the receptionist (meeting us suddenly informed us that the room we ordered is now occupied and she can only put us in a free room on the 1st floor. But at the same time, she unexpectedly informed us that she would withhold a refundable deposit of 500 som from us!! For what?!!! For dirty plates and mugs, for broken bedside tables, for a plastic paper holder)))?! It's just a joke)) We were not warned about this when booking, there is no such information about the deposit on the website.
And guess what size towels were waiting for us in the room among the bed linen.
No, you didn't guess))) 30*50!!!! And this is for both face and body at the same time one in one hand!!!
The price also included breakfast, but unfortunately the same type: porridge + pancakes, or scrambled eggs to choose from, flatbread and tea. And so it has been for ten days)))!
Pros: location- proximity to shops, cafes and the beach, we had the 1st floor, we had a view from the first floor to the garden, if 2 and 3 then the view will be to the construction site or backyard.
We wish the owners of the hotel to listen to the wishes, open the human chakras and then people will reach out to them.
We wish you all a good rest from the bottom of our hearts!
Guys, I have never met a worse place to stay!!!!!!!
I've never written reviews, but this time I can't help myself.
My family and I were in this DUMP for 14 days. Cholpon-Ata and Issyk-Kul are wonderful, but the place where we lived is HELLISH.
We rented a 2-room room on the second floor. There is dirt in the room, flakes of dust, the carpet is in such a state that it is not a pity to throw it away - lumps of hair, small debris, sand, etc., there is almost never hot water (as the hostess explained, there is not enough heater for everyone), all the furniture of the 80s, one leg was broken off from the sofa and it staggered (scary it was even possible to sleep on such a bed), 20-year-old bed linen (you have to fill it yourself when you check in). There is no soap, no toilet paper either. Towels and those had to be asked for! The pool is just a beautiful photo. In fact, no one swims in it - the water in it is dirty, green (even the bottom is not visible!!), and it is constantly closed.
In the cafe at the boarding house, the breakfasts are the same every day: tea, porridge and pancakes with condensed milk. Everything!!!
WHEN CHECKING IN, THE HOSTESS ILLEGALLY TAKES YOUR PASSPORT (ostensibly for checking in) AND GIVES IT ONLY AT EVICTION IN THE ABSENCE OF COMPLAINTS TO THE ROOM!!!!!!!!!
When they check out, they check absolutely everything in the room, right down to the stains on the bed linen!!!! This is insanity!!!!! If something is wrong, pay a fine.
Russians are not respected, not loved. The claims of anti-comfort and anti-cleanliness are answered: "You are not Turkey here!".
Gulbar's mistress and her daughter are real boors. They don't care about Russian vacationers and our desire for comfort. Kyrgyz people go there in packs, so the rooms are not empty.
Guys, don't waste your vacation in the beautiful Issyk-Kul on this garbage place. Cholpon-Ata is full of guest houses and hotels.
