I took a lot of money "for the firmware" because it helped turn on the laptop after flooding. I couldn't even explain how he started the computer. When asked if he cleaned his laptop and keyboard, he said no (But why?). When asked why the firmware is so expensive, he replied that - Well, we could say that your processor burned out and would pay even more. I do not know where other laudatory reviews come from, but I would advise you to find another repair service.
