Small, pretty and almost deserted ruins of an ancient Greek city. Literally an hour and a half on foot from the Marina, but the ordeal is severe, all the time uphill.
Go or go like me) the gorgeous view of Bodrum, the beauty of the sea, the power of stones, the mountains are fascinating.. Ruins.. I love ruins.. Perfect proportions of blocks and foundations.. The main thing is to find everything that is there.. Go ahead.. Ask, but be sure to bypass all this beauty! A very very impressive view, gorgeous photos are provided to you. I would like to note the granite road - a low bow to those who chose the place and built it.. In the shade..
It is worth going at least to breathe the pine air and listen to the singing of birds surrounded by an ancient settlement. It is better to wear sneakers, the grass in the forest may be wet and the stones are large. There are trekking routes for 4, 7, and 12 kilometers. There is no catering nearby, so you need to take the ox food with you
It's beautiful, ancient, but getting there is a nightmare if there is no car or taxi.
The local taxi drivers did not understand us and took us to Pedasa Street, so we had to walk uphill to the most ancient city.
It is better to return via Gumbet, do not make our mistake and do not go to Bodrum. There is no road and strong slopes — we walked for 1.5 hours and were very tired. There is literally no road, just one village with not a soul in it.
In short, get the taxi driver to take you to the gate, and back from the mountain on foot to Gumbet and you will be happy.
And also take a sanskrit with you, the sun bakes furiously.
It's not a tourist route at all, travel agencies don't have it. But it's worth it. It is very beautiful, picturesque, everything breathes antiquity. We took a taxi to the gate, then there are many signs, a good paved road, do not get lost. It is very convenient to walk back to Gumbet from the hill. I recommend it, get a lot of impressions.
Good ruins. Important: the road to the ruins comes from the left side of Bodrum, not the right! Don't repeat my mistake. If you go to the right, be prepared for off-road and very steep climbs. A dot on the map indicates only a small part of the ruins. If you go further to the right, you will find ruins on a hill with an observation tower. It's very cool there, I recommend
