One of the most beautiful castles in Transylvania, combining many styles. At the same time, the cost is not the highest among all locks. Despite the fact that not all rooms of the castle are accessible to the public, the interior decoration and filling are impressive. Basic and extended routes are available for visits (with visits to more rooms, but also not all available ones). The basic route was enough for us, we spent about an hour and a half in the castle. The guide is available in English, there is no Russian. The park with many sculptures around the castle is also interesting to visit. We were in winter, I think we would have spent more time outside in the summer. There is paid parking at the entrance to the castle, but you can park your car in the free parking lot below and walk upstairs.
It 's just a beautiful castle . You will definitely see it when you are in Romania. First Bran Castle, then Peles. Since after Pelesh, Bran is so-so, although they had different purposes. To be honest, I didn't expect anything special from Peles Castle, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I went inside. Very beautiful furniture , paintings , etc. They had cash payments ( I was in August), but there is an ATM nearby where you can withdraw money if anything. It's beautiful on the outside, but even better on the inside. By the way, there were discounts for pensioners and students . But their pensioners are over 65 years old, but maybe they will be lucky to get through. Don't spare the money and come in, it's all being looked after and looked after. We were on Friday, there were people, but there was enough space for everyone) we bought the stalls and floor 1. I think that's enough to familiarize yourself with it. I recommend it!
An amazing castle! You feel like a King! Peles Castle really surprised me - first externally, and then from the inside. Each hall and room impresses with its decoration and beauty. This is one of the Must see places, from my point of view Peles is one of the main gems of Romania. I highly recommend it. For information: visiting the castle is possible only as part of an organized group with a guide. Excursions are conducted in English or Romanian. Entrance tickets can only be purchased in cash. There is an ATM installed next to the lock, but you will pay a fairly large percentage for withdrawal in it. There is no exchange office. Entrance tickets are available in two types: visiting only the first floor or two. A tour of the first floor costs 30 lei, a tour of the 1st-2nd floor costs 60 lei. Take the full one. There is a very pleasant cafe near the castle at the turn of the path.
