The market turned out to be quite large. For any choice from clothes to vegetables and fruits. The prices were pleasantly surprised, much lower than in Uzbekistan. In September, strawberries were 200 rubles per kg, whereas Chorsu was 1300 rubles per kg. It's the same with other fruits. If you are in Khujand, I advise you to visit and taste local fruits and vegetables, directly from the tree/ bush.
Fruits are cheap, and some brands are alcoholic too. Things and other goods are priced the same as in Russia. Sellers, seeing that the buyer is not local, raises the price 2-3 times, you can bargain with some, but not for the price for which the same product will be given to a local. It feels like they see a bag of money instead of a human figure of a visitor. If possible, it is better to go to the market with a local and have him communicate with them on prices. One example, I decided to buy nectarines, asked the seller for the price, he announced it at 15 somoni, a woman immediately came up and asked in Tajik, they announced the price at 10 somoni. I understand the figures and decided to ask why I have such a price, and she has another one, for which the seller made a discount of 1 somoni.
The most visited market is a historical place. It's almost always crowded. The painting of the dome and ceilings attracts the attention of tourists and visitors. A large selection of agricultural products.
I really liked the market, you can find anything, the vegetables are always fresh, and the tortillas are of many varieties and beautiful and delicious, there are a lot of dried fruits and nuts, everything you want to eat, too, and whatever kebabs you want and the prices are acceptable.
I liked the market itself, as if I had returned to my childhood, when we often visited it. But the fact that different stalls were set up and set up around to sell the ball of the bar, very spoiled the first impression of the bazaar. Everything used to be clean and cozy, but now you don't understand what's going on. We need to make everything look divine
A good market, but everything is mixed up, fruits and clothes are not clear what and where they sell. Prices as luck would have it, at the sight of a foreigner, they put down a price plate and offer their own options. We must bargain!!! And there were so many delicious fruits in the middle of September.
A very large selection of products and things. The quality is for an amateur. You can also find good things. As for fruits and vegetables - usually everything is fresh. The staff is friendly, knows how to bargain, they will show and tell everything
The hometown where I was born,on the opposite side of the market is a historical mosque, next to the Samsa Barn is a very popular area, everyone who comes to the market will first try samsa...
Earlier, when I was studying, the Pandshanbeh market was a place where you could walk and enjoy the beauty of these places. In recent years, vegetables and fruits have been pickled near the mosque! This has greatly changed the appearance of the market! There 's dirt everywhere and out . The stove is sticky underfoot. It is not convenient to move between a crowd of people.
A great ORIENTAL bazaar.
You can buy everything that is sold in the Sughd region.
Always fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits.
You can and should bargain!
This is the legendary, largest bazaar in all of Central Asia. This is a landmark of the city of Khujand and I want to note that all residents of Tajikistan are proud of this bazaar. ❤️❤️❤️
It is difficult for a tourist to navigate here, there is a very large market, a lot of things - and not everyone knows how to bargain, but you do not know the real price) but you can see that there are a lot of fresh products, there are many merchants on the square even at night, you can buy fruits and vegetables, and even eat!
I love this city and the market. Everything is fresh and inexpensive. And because everything is in one convenient place and at an affordable price, there are a lot of people. I like it anyway.

I read the history of this bazaar, it was built in 1964, a unique bazaar in Central Asia, it is the only one here mainly selling vegetables and food
