It's a great location, take the time to get to this place and plan a visit to 2 caves at once - Otapa Head and Abrskila Cave.
We were very lucky to have a guide - he was an Abkhazian young man who told us a lot of facts and legends about the cave.
There are wooden platforms inside the cave, you need to take into account the potential amount of water, boots in any case, at one of the sites the boots were removed and walked along the platform under water.
It is definitely not worth taking small children and the very elderly into the cave for safety reasons - in places there is a large depth of water, the path is narrow wooden, the cave arches are low and sometimes walked in single file.
All active researchers of the world should definitely come here and see the beauty of this place with their own eyes! The price is absolutely justified - the family that provides tourist services here maintains the territory in excellent condition, we felt comfortable and safe during the walk.
We arrived, there is no one, only a well-fed young man "crushes the mass" on the bench (in the photo). They didn't wake me up, but walked right past me and into the cave. A frisky kid came from somewhere, introduced himself as Cesar, 6 years old. He said that the group was with a guide inside and we should wait. They didn't wait, they didn't go deep. Anyone who has ever been to caves will not discover anything new for themselves. I gave the kid 100 rubles. At the exit, the "well-fed" one came to his senses and began to show the little one that he had let him into the cave without money, as I understood from their Abkhaz. We wanted to sit on a bench, and they told us that you can sit on a bench for money. They left with relief. The general message is that nature has given people beauty and they are trading it as if they are not themselves. The main principle is to make money and do nothing. Separately, I would like to mention two exhausted bears languishing in a tiny enclosure. They didn't come close, so as not to get upset.
It's interesting how Yandex gives this cave 5 stars, with so many negative reviews.
I definitely advise you to visit. Not for retirees, sometimes it takes a little flexibility to get through some sections of the cave))). But the beauty and primeval nature conquers.
