The place itself is gorgeous: great nature, fresh air, a monument of medieval rock art... There are even clean civil toilets.
But the so-called "beautification" of the monument was done, as always, through one place: cutting through a tourist path, the administration destroyed the base of the rock with rock carvings, leading the situation to the fact that the destruction began to move to the monument itself, as the rock became more vulnerable to weather, wind and other physical influences. Crushed stone from the base of the rock is scattered right there, all the paths are strewn with it, which made them dangerous to walk, since pieces of crushed stone are movable and serve as "rollers" under the foot, depriving a person of balance and stability.
In general, everything is as always: it was a great place until the authorities took care of its "improvement", approaching the matter criminally thoughtlessly, like real mankurts.(
I enjoyed the trip. The road is good, you can drive any car, preferably four-wheel drive. Interesting drawings, beautiful landscape. We sat on the riverbank, silence, fresh air, complete relaxation.
Ideal for rock climbing, a lot of people come in season, a very wide variety of trails. Admission is 500 tenge per person. There is a great clean toilet. The most beautiful view of the river, the opportunity to walk in the mountains without insurance is also there
The petroglyphs themselves are new, there is only one that is real, and they are not worth it to go 7 km on a bad road purely for their sake
