The penguin is adorable. There are a lot of interesting little details that you want to study. You can stick to this activity for a long time. The sculpture is small, so you didn't notice it on your first walk.
There are many monuments and sculptures on the Sukhumi embankment. Special attention is drawn to the composition "Penguin Philosopher", which is located in a beautiful place.
Mmm, my beloved Sukhum, what air, what water, sea, fruits! And this embankment, I would live there! But, alas, it is possible only as a guest😍

The sculpture of the philosopher penguin is very popular both among residents of Sukhumi and guests who come to relax and take a walk along the embankment, but about a year ago vandals stole some things from the penguin. Sukhum tourist Attraction
In 2012, a sculpture of a philosopher penguin appeared on the embankment of the capital of Abkhazia, holding a pen, and on the open book in front of it was written the dictum of the American writer William Faulkner: "Life is not a property that needs to be protected, but a gift that needs to be shared with other people."
Cool penguin! Like other figures of the author on the wonderful Sukhumi embankment, the girl with the gramophone also liked it very much, but the penguin is rzhachny)
I liked the penguin of the philosophers, but we expected that it would be larger in size, we walked along the embankment past it and did not notice it, on the way back we still found it and took a picture. I recommend.
The penguin is cute! Children like it! There are places in Sukhumi where streets, buildings, and monuments have been repaired and restored. But there are a lot of places where Traces of war are visible and it is impossible to look at it without pain!I want the beautiful country of Abkhazia to recover as soon as possible!
The gorgeous Makhajirov embankment in Sukhum, and near the Penguin cafe, there is such a wonderful penguin philosopher.

About a year ago, vandals stole a book from a penguin, broke a bronze pen and inkwell.
This is a penguin sculpture. He is a philosopher looking thoughtfully at a book. There is a bench next to it, you can admire it and the sea at the same time.

A very cute penguin, and next to it is a wonderful cafe where you can relax and eat dessert. The downside of this place is the gypsy beggars who are here all the time.
A great place for any age group.
Our ritual is to visit this institution after the Sled, in which (the Sled) I strongly recommend ordering Only Boats and lemonade in glass. In the Penguin opposite there is a dessert place. Coffee, Ice cream and cocktails are always on top. The cakes are the freshest: meringue roll (my favorite weakness), baskets with custard and fresh berries (well, just lovely).
Ice cream is a separate and most important part of this institution (it was in my "Soviet" childhood) it was here that I was fed ice cream because I was not allergic to this product alone, it was here that I bought "warm ice cream" if there was a threat of a cold, it was here that my throat hardened and ice cream became a special product for me. This place became the ancestor of Ice Cream for many people and has been preserved to this day, but from the traditional here and now there are creamers and serving, this is a fact, but not a reproach.
Everyone goes to the Penguin for cakes and a photo with the main character of the institution, the Penguin Philosopher.
A wonderful coffee shop on the Sukhum embankment. Delicious cakes and great coffee! Fast and courteous service. There are pleasant memories and a desire to return there more than once...
