I walked along the street in the center of Batumi in the afternoon.
An unmarked Mercedes stopped, 3 people jumped out, introduced themselves as the police, and began to search right on the street WITHOUT EXPLAINING THE REASONS. I am a tourist, I had a small folding knife in my pocket, they put me in a mercedes, took me to the department, took away my phone, protocols, acts, examinations, ridicule.
Persuasion to give a call to his wife and children is refused. They opened a case because of a penknife, closed the exit from the country, removed from the flight to pay a fine.
What do you think? Will I advise someone to visit this country, this city? No!
And I will never find myself in it.
It's a very sad story.
