We stayed at the hotel in December 2024. The hotel is not large, but compact and very green, there are two heated pools (adult and children's). The staff is very friendly, helpful, special thanks to Obama for the birthday greetings, it was not expected and very pleasant. The food is excellent and delicious, there are no queues. Delicious sweets are baked on the beach.The bars are all open, especially the rooftop bar. The animation is active, but not intrusive, they work conscientiously. The room is good, although it was economical, cleaning was done well and regularly. The sea is clean, the sunset is excellent, special shoes are not needed. I liked the hotel, I recommend it for a relaxing, family vacation. There was practically no wind in December. A bay without wind.

Yes, there was a wind, but there is almost no wind on the beach, tanned to black) Yes, the sea is cold, well, it's not summer. The hotel is positioned as a five-star hotel, but don't expect European luxury from it. This is Egypt! Many reviews say that the rooms are tired and the food is monotonous... That's not so. The rooms are spacious and clean. There's so much food that you can't try everything, and it's delicious.
The entrance to the sea is gentle on the sand, the reef is nearby, but it does not interfere with swimming.

We had a family vacation at this beautiful hotel in October 2024.Before that, we were there without children.
I liked everything very much! The atmosphere is wonderful! Animators create a certain mood!
Since we were with children, we didn't need noisy parties.
And so there are discos, live music, shows for children!
The abundance of fish in the sea is wonderful!
As for the food: everything is delicious! There were two shrimps - they are from delicacies.The fish is very tasty, grilled meat, soups, gravies, French fries, of course pastries)) and so on... There is something to feed the kids! The youngest is 11 months old, so we still took baby porridge, purees.
A beautiful beach!

Great hotel.
We had a rest from 03/18/25 to 03/25/25, out of 7 days, there was a strong wind and +20 for three days, but the advantage of this hotel was a windless beach, you could safely sunbathe (in the sun as +25) and swim, the water temperature was 23-24 degrees. Good access to the sea, but it's better to have slippers. It was also possible to have breakfast/lunch/dinner on the outdoor veranda, as it is protected from the wind. There is a heated swimming pool.
The hotel is small, the area is beautiful and clean.
The staff is friendly and fulfills all requests instantly. The room is renovated.
The food is varied. The food is delicious. The selection of fruits is small, it is not the season in March and it does not depend on the hotel.
There is a desert outside the territory of all Makadi Bay hotels, there is nowhere to walk, but there is a walking area 5-6 km along the beach through all hotels, open until 18-00. For 7 euros from the hotel you can go to the center of Hurghada, round trip from 16-00 to 19-00.

The only cosmetics are shower gel and shampoo. Take conditioner and body lotion with you. There are no slippers or dressing gowns. At the entrance there were 2 packs of chips, water, juices, they report only water. One of the unusual things is that beach towels are changed during cleaning, and cleaning is done during your stay at sea. Or go with yesterday's ones or catch a janitor. The water slides almost never worked in our period. Of the three small ones, 2 were turned on a couple of times. In fact, there was no water park for us. A heated pool for toddlers and a small nook for adults. The rest of the pools are for beauty in winter, and it's very windy around them. And there is almost no wind on the beach. There are 5 bars, one of them on the roof, on the fourth floor, has been open since 17, but you can go up for photos/videos at any time, the view is beautiful. The alcohol is disgusting, only bottled beer is normal. It's better to ask for Fanta / sprite / cola to be poured from bottles, because it's terrible from a vending machine. The beach is small, but during our stay there were enough sun beds for everyone, in the evening the sand is combed, the garbage is removed. There are dead corrals at the entrance, there are pieces with a sand entrance. Special shoes are generally not needed. There is a reef, but it is quite modest. Most of them are dead. The water in the second half of January is quite comfortable. The weather was sunny on 25-27 gr. You can walk along the beaches of neighboring hotels and swim there. Ice cream from the vending machine is questionable, but they give it all day. There is a good one for $2. Red fish for breakfast is great. The juices are powdered from the vending machine, the coffee is passable, the pizza on the beach is delicious. The lobby bar serves leys chips with salt. The staff is good, but the bartenders may not be polite and, of course, all the attention is paid to the Europeans. They bring alcohol to the table at dinner, they haven't approached us even once. Germans can also be served out of turn at the bar. There are not many Russians in the hotel. It's boring in the evening. Animation can be said not to be evening, but daytime in the form of darts, boccia, volleyball, yoga, and water aerobics. On the first day, the child left his flip-flops on the beach and, of course, they were not found. There was more than one such case. We also "lost" the music column. The hotel does not accept rubles, although a year ago we quietly paid at another hotel. There were 8 of us, each in turn collapsed for a day from an intestinal disorder. Although this is not the first time in Egypt, we know such nuances as cleaning water with bottled water and so on. Take medicines, although you can buy them at the pharmacy at the hotel. There is billiards and table football near the lobby. For adequate money, you can safely fly to the hotel. But we will hardly consider it a second time. There are wind-free hotels in Makadi in winter with their own bay and more interesting ones.

We rested from the heart!
CHECK-IN AT THE HOTEL Arrived by Aeroflot, the quality and service are at an altitude, although we flew for 6 hours. The Russian-speaking girl Hagar accepted the documents. They immediately put on bracelets and sent them to lunch while they were making out. We settled in the 9th building, 2nd floor, next to the beach. The room with a view of the wall of the neighboring hotel, although the voucher with a view of the pool, we decided not to change, since the restaurant with music would be nearby, but you can't hear it at night.
THE room is large, standard, as in the photos and videos of tourists. Mosquitoes and other living creatures have not been noticed. After sunset, it becomes noticeably cool, they put on warm sweatshirts and closed the balcony. The cleaning is mediocre, soap and soap supplies were added only on request, despite the empty vials and a dollar on the bed. There is no elementary shoe spoon, the reception said that they are not accepted in Egypt! Especially about beach towels! They are changed by the room cleaner when they are lying on the floor in the room, and cleaning can take up to 16 hours, so you catch him in the hallway and it's not a fact that there is a towel replacement!
The FOOD is excellent service in all bars and restaurants. Cocktail time is every evening in the reception area at 18 o'clock. We were sitting there in upholstered chairs waiting for dinner. The food is excellent, I have not heard any cases of poisoning. Every day there is a new dish of poultry, meat and fish. The beer is not bad, juices like jupi, bottled soda, wine and spirits were not liked. I really liked the tandoor tortillas that a small smiling woman cooks outside. One evening was dedicated to sushi. The coffee is not bad from the coffee machines. Fruits: pomegranate, melon, mango, grapes, apples, citrus fruits.
ANIMATION The guys are trying, but there are few people on the beach. I would especially like to mention the Czech Lucy, who speaks Russian, and the black Ruji. When they were on a weekend, the beach would freeze. Half of the animators changed during our vacation. Standard set: bocce, darts, yoga and fitness. The contingent is Germans, Czechs and Slovaks, Russians. A day later, a local bard sings live at the Azurro restaurant on the beach, and at 21 there is an entertainment program: acrobats, fire show, magic and more.
The SEA AND THE BEACH are sandy, but then you need to look at your feet. The water temperature is 24. It's great that you don't really feel the tide, you can always swim. If you walk along the floats to the stones on the right, then the fish themselves swim from the corals to look at you, the water is clean and you do not need a mask. There is no wind on the beach, although it is noticeable on the tops of the palm trees. I didn't like the proximity of the sunbeds, but because of the small number of people, it's not so noticeable.
I recommend the hotel for a relaxing family holiday.

A nice Prima Life Makadi hotel with a beautiful beach in a windless bay. It's a 30-minute drive from the airport. There was a wind on the territory of the hotel in late November - early December, and on the beach it was completely calm and without waves. The entrance to the sea is excellent, slippers are not required, there are corals, different fish, a turtle, the water is clear. The reefs are not large, like the islets along the coast at shallow depths. You can walk along the long coastline. There is a diving center on the beach. The deck chairs are clean, new, there was enough for everyone, but the umbrellas-canopies on the beach are stationary and do not add up (sometimes you had to look for a place in the sun). In general, the whole hotel and the beach are very clean.
The hotel is customer-oriented, pleasant value for money (the reservation was independent, without a tour). We checked into the room a couple of hours earlier and upgraded the room category without additional charges. The staff is friendly throughout the hotel, everyone is trying, there are a lot of animators. The territory of the hotel is small, elongated towards the beach and the sea, 3-storey buildings.
The room was large and well renovated, cleaning was regular and decent for Egypt, everything worked in the room (hair dryer, air conditioning, refrigerator, safe), even there were scales)) there are no bathrobe, slippers, dental kit, but there was shower gel, shampoo and body lotion - the quality is acceptable. Drinking water 1.5 liters / person daily, you can ask for more.
Snow-white towels and bed linen, new, soft, pleasant to use. The beach towels are also in good condition, in the room. The water is hot around the clock with excellent pressure.
The hotel rooms have a balcony, there are drying facilities, a table and two chairs.
One heated swimming pool and a special area for children. The hotel has several restaurants, bars, gym, massage, hammam, shops, pharmacy.
The food in the main restaurant is delicious, the range of dishes varies, but without frills. Mango once a week, daily melon, oranges, apples, grapefruit. There was a mix of seafood, shrimp, fish, meat, kebab on the grill. There was also a diet menu (chicken fillet, fish, boiled vegetables). There are many different pastries and desserts. There is a late breakfast (after 10:00) and a late dinner (before 01:00), which is convenient for those returning from excursions, you will not stay without food before going to bed.
There are many adult Europeans among the vacationers. Animation on the beach, aqua aerobics, dancing, yoga, stretching, games (volleyball, darts, bocce), various shows in the evening (prize draws, karaoke, fire shows, aerial acrobatics, cocktail parties, oriental dancing), live music. By 22:30 - 23:00, the animation program is curtailed, but the reception bar is open around the clock.
The Internet throughout the hotel is excellent for free, including on the beach, WhatsApp calls worked.

We had a family vacation at the hotel for the New Year holidays. I will note that this is the first time in Egypt - I liked everything. The location of the hotel, in my opinion, is very good: its beach is a small bay that closes from the wind and strong waves, normal entry into the water (corals are not underfoot, but at a depth, further), sand. In a nearby hotel, people entered the sea along narrow paths left for entry between the reefs. A variety of marine life around the coral reef.
The territory of the hotel is green: the outer wall is covered with climbing plants from the inside, palm trees, flowering trees and shrubs, the walls of the building are also buried in greenery and flowering vines in places. There are many places to relax. These are mini bars and all sorts of benches, sun beds. The pools looked cool in winter, but only children swam there (in a small heated one with slides), the sea was more interesting to me)
The animation is great! The guys tried very hard both in organizing vacationers on the beach and in creating a festive mood. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and cheerful. They like to exchange a few words and joke with vacationers.
In my opinion, the food was excellent. We had vegetables and fruits as favorites, as well as local cuisine. There were days of national cuisine (unusually cooked vegetables, very healthy celery molochei soup), delicious desserts.
The hotel has a spa, gym, kids club, scuba equipment rental station, camel on the beach, pharmacy, cafe-library and disco.

The child was covered with towels to keep warm. The room has a tiled floor, but there are no slippers. I'm not even talking about dressing gowns. God, I don't even know what to do. I want to go home from the first day!! Alcohol is a chemical that causes heartburn from one sip. It's okay, you don't have to drink. Food sadness - hard meat like rubber, vegetables overcooked in oil, soup -water with raw vegetables! The barbecue area where the meat is burned smokes directly at the guests in the dining room! Everyone is sitting in a thick fog of soot. The promised pool heating is missing, the pool is icy! I believe that instead of buying Key cards, barbecue hoods, pool heating and air conditioning repairs, the money went to the guy who writes good reviews about this hotel, it's much more profitable, and it works! Greetings. I stayed at this hotel in November of this year. Maybe I'm overeager, of course, because I've been flying to Cyprus and Montenegro for the past five years, but that's not the point... As for me, only the rooms are good. The territory of the hotel is very small, WI-FI is only at the reception (how so???), the food in the restaurant is absolutely mediocre, there were only various dinners. Nutrition: ugly dairy products (especially cheese), the same sausages, meat for four, vile, soft, white fish (a la pangasius) every day, sweets - ordinary, lousy alcohol (no beer, wine - as in the early 2000s it was in cardboard boxes) I didn't even dare to take a strong one, pizza at the beach bar for three. DON'T EXPECT ANY GOURMET DISHES. Shrimps don't count. A huge number of vacationers, sunbeds on the beach should be occupied before breakfast, after they stay in the heat, and some vacationers occupy them, and just leave for three or four hours... The restaurant has the same situation, I was a little late for dinner, the tables are almost all occupied. There are also tables outside, near the restaurant, but there are a huge number of birds (you can't leave the plate, they fly in from all sides), sound repellents do not help. When I was vacationing in Pattaya, the restaurant staff (nice Thai girls with towels), seeing that you wanted to take a place in a restaurant on the street, followed you and drove away the annoying birds while the vacationers left the plates and went to take other dishes. At the hotel, the staff had some kind of obsession with saving electricity, they never turned on the lights brightly, there was always some kind of semi-darkness (both in the restaurant and at the reception). The room also has very dim lights, it was difficult to read the book. There was live music in the evenings, the girl tried to sing, but it sounded so-so. It is not realistic to lie down (take a nap, read) on the beach, terribly persistent staff on the beach (guides, traders and massage therapists) offering their services. I tried to take a nap on a sunbed in the shade a couple of times, passing by they purposely touch you or say something loudly so that the vacationer would pay attention to them. They don't recognize refusals the first time, they squat down next to you, and start sniffing their booklets with excursions, massages and other bullshit. So day in and day out (rested for 10 nights). There are always queues at the beach bar, you need to stand for at least 3-4 minutes to get a drink. As for me, it's better not to skimp, pay extra and fly to Sri Lanka or Thailand. Or to Turkey to ultra-inclusive hotels.

A good hotel, the rooms are clean, cozy, spacious. The food is good, varied. The animation is light, not intrusive, there is a nightclub. The beach is big, there is a reef. The entrance to the sea is different, the sand goes to the left, there is a crust to the right, it is not convenient to enter.
