Unfortunately, in at least one case (mine), she put her needs above the client's: right during my session, Elena started having fun with the phone, completely ignoring me. To my outrage, she stated: "I have my own needs too." Without unprintable words, it is difficult for me to describe this arrogance and the degree of disrespect for me as a client who pays for a therapist to satisfy his needs elsewhere. An "attentive and sensitive therapist" exactly until you (even unconsciously) hurt her feelings with something. She took out her frustration on me several times, which negatively affected my therapeutic experience. In the course of therapy, it also became clear that Elena was experiencing some difficulties working with me (as she herself said), but instead of changing her approach, recognizing a lack of resources, refusing to work with me or referring me to a colleague, she deliberately tried to cause a negative reaction from me several times and demanded an increase in payment her services in the event that I would be "uncomfortable" for her to act or react (again, a purely mercantile approach to the client). Therefore, if you need a competent therapist whose words do not differ from the case and who will devote time to you during work, and not to himself and his needs, contact another specialist. And if you are already working with Elena, remember that with her "easy customers — easy money" approach, you may one day be in my place.
