Great theater! A good repertoire. A wonderful cast of artists who bring love to the theater to everyone who came. Each production is a celebration for both children and adults! In the repertoire of the theater today, everyone will find something for themselves. The hall is small, but very cozy; you can see and hear from anywhere. Good location a few minutes from Kupalovskaya metro station. You can also park by car, but it will take a little time to find an empty place. Tickets for the performances are sold in a matter of hours, there are no free seats. Every performance is a Full House! Keep it up !! Good health to all!!!
I went to the play "Morozko", I really liked it, the children were delighted, and this is a very big reward for the people who tried. The Theater Puppet Museum, which is located inside the theater, deserves special attention, and creative people will appreciate it. As for the chairs and seats, the chairs are "tired", the backs are torn off somewhere, and screws or staples are sticking out somewhere, it's traumatic, it shouldn't be like that, pay attention to it. As for the chairs delivered in the theater, why are you doing this?! And so the hall is small, and you're cluttering up. But the theater deserves 5 stars and a lot of respect, well done.
Cool theart for kids, and for adults too. A cozy, small, but spacious hall, there is a museum of puppet actors - you can come a little earlier than the performance and explore it, a small cafe. Among the productions are performances for children, first of all, and for adults. I went to the "Belvedere Boarding House" - this is a universal story about the most important thing, told without unnecessary words. More precisely, without words at all... Great acting. I liked it very much.
What a wonderful, cozy, atmospheric place!!! The hall is small. And the play "Belvedere Boarding House" is something very philosophical, touching, tragic and funny. The acting is great! Unsurprisingly, tickets sell out faster than hotcakes. I recommend watching! There is a museum of puppet actors. Very interesting! It seems to me that it is even more for adults than for children! I'm sure it was the first and definitely not the last trip to this theater! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
We went to the Notes of the young doctor. We were delighted. The artists are giving their best 200 percent, great fellows. The theater is small and cozy, everyone is very friendly, there is a very angry lady at the box office, but perhaps she is tired of answering the question of how to buy tickets for the evening performance. Unfortunately, it turned out to be difficult. The son, who visited the theater for the first time, was impressed for another week and asks to buy tickets again. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.
A great theater - when you get into it, there is an atmosphere of relaxation and childhood memories.
The repertoire and the actors are all top-notch.
There may be queues at the cloakroom (for delivery), but they disappear relatively quickly.
There's usually a queue in the women's bathroom.
When traveling by car, I recommend arriving in advance, because there are not many parking spaces in the area.
A great place to introduce children to the theater from a very young age. The supplies are great. There is also something to see for adults. Definitely worth visiting all the productions. The buffet is also good.
Special thanks to the actors and sound engineers. A place to be ashamed of.
The performances are simply masterpieces, one more beautiful than the other. The cast is just great! We constantly go with our children (they grew up watching theater performances) and with my husband to adult performances.
But the last two times, something went wrong. It's a shame to the point of tears!
The penultimate time we bought tickets with seats, everything was as it should be, we sat down. And then a couple comes and shows on their phone (from a distance, it's clear that we didn't see anything) that they bought tickets online while snatching ours! The female ticket collector asked us to move to the side seats. We really didn't want to make a scene, as I ASK YOU TO NOTICE! The play was already on!
On 17.01.25, my husband and I were traveling from another city, got into a traffic jam, and were at the theater on 19.03. We asked very much to be allowed to sell us tickets and let us go to the play. Unfortunately, we were refused. It's a shame, to the point of tears!
Has no one ever been late before us! Moreover, we explained the situation very calmly. As for the first incident, we didn't make any claims to you, we got into the situation. Is it really humanly impossible!
Dear administration! The performances, the actors are wonderful, you need to match them somehow, then everything will be not just good, but excellent.
A wonderful theater for children and with unique performances for adults) the hall is compact and even from the side seats you can see smartly (even better for my taste than from the back rows). For schoolchildren, there is a favorite Sold laugh in the country of unlearned lessons, for kids there is a Dog Sonya and a Wolf and seven goats, many of my favorite performances for adults are here (tickets are like hot cakes) and at the theater of Belarusian drama.
The theater is wonderful, the performances are super, the actors are on top, if not for one thing! Tickets for 18+ performances are almost impossible to buy. And also a very "polite" woman works at the ticket office, who in 2 seconds discourages the desire to come to buy tickets. (We did not see that "sold" was written everywhere on the poster, we decided to ask the woman at the checkout, unfortunately, we interrupted her phone conversation and she said, not in the most pleasant way, that we should look around)
They came on 09/01/2024
We visited the incredible performance "Sold Laughter" with our son, which left us with vivid impressions! The plot turned out to be original and fascinating, combining elements of comedy and drama. The actors performed their roles brilliantly, their performance was sincere and emotional, which allowed them to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the performance. I especially remember the moments with unexpected twists that lifted my mood and made me think about deeper topics. Music and set design also complemented the overall picture, creating the right mood. I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend the evening with a smile and get a boost of positive emotions!
We really like children's productions. One small note - the music is too loud. As for adult productions, the opinion is ambiguous. The other day we watched "On a black, black Street" directed by Karnyag. Well, what can I say...some kind of drug-addicted bacchanal in the horror genre. We did not feel the depth of immersion in the plot. Andresen's fairy tales by themselves, without a film adaptation and the actors' games, make you squirm, empathize, and sometimes read faster so as not to get hung up on an imaginary picture in your head...And in the play, all these "horrors" are still dressed in black clothes, in "black" music and accompanied by inappropriate jokes (especially in the tale about 11 swans). The naked fifth point of one of the actresses is on the verge of being acceptable (for us, so beyond the limit). The director's reception - after reading the heartwarming text (Andresan's text), turn on the light and announce the intermission - is a cheap manipulation, they say, look, we caused emotion in people.... There was a thought that maybe we don't understand something and don't understand art-house productions, but after the first act many places were vacated The applause was loud, but not everyone clapped...In general, this production is not our format, I will not advise anyone.
Very talented productions: the actors, puppets, decorations, lighting and musical solutions are fascinating. I've been to several performances, and the interweaving of puppets and master's play is unique in all of them.
On the downside: it's difficult to get tickets.
The best puppet theater I've ever been to. Seven baby goats also went to Kiwi. The theater is saturated with the atmosphere of talented people, it is very pleasant to realize that there is a place where there is absolutely no falsehood. Thanks
I love puppet shows. I go to both adult and children's performances. I'm realizing my childhood dreams. There is a nice little doll museum.
The puppet theater is my love.
The theater is the most wonderful. The productions are simply mesmerizing in their strangeness. But this ticket rush is just exhausting. The theater needs a bigger stage 🫶
I advise you to watch the entire repertoire (for adults) 👍
A good theater with good performances. For both adults and children. Belarusian art is quite multifaceted, so you need to read the announcements for the performances more carefully. For me, one of the best theaters in Belarus.
This theater has left one of the best memories of the beautiful Minsk. If you are traveling with a child, then by all means go to this puppet theater. We went to the play "Kiwi". For me, this is the 30th baby performance and, believe the expert, I have not seen the best entertaining and educational performance! Mostly performances for babies based on fashionable and folk tales, but here we have a mix of educational information translated into children's with interesting interactive content. Plus, the wonderful acting, kind atmosphere, gorgeous dolls! We will come back more than once, and I recommend it to you.
Good productions, professional actors, a brilliant director. I highly recommend it, but it's a problem to buy tickets. The theater cannot accommodate everyone. The website is also "lying" on ticket sales days.
Don't forget to visit the museum - it's worth the attention!
The "Sold Laughter" festival. My son and I have been paying attention for 6 years and 9 months from the first words. It's been a long time since I've seen such a return on stage. Dynamics, playing with light, voices. The son was delighted with the actor who played Tim, and the son rarely praises so much. In the end, unexpectedly for myself, I was moved that I even shed tears! The costumes and their colors were especially pleasing to the eye. Thanks to all the staff and actors. I recommend it!
If you can only get tickets, go to any performance, you will not regret it!!! We are happy to go to children's performances. And recently I was lucky enough to watch an adult, Mroiva! It's just amazing!!! This theater stands out among the cultural places of Minsk!!!
To be honest, I don't fully understand why the theater has such an "excellent" rating, apparently, the management is busy deleting negative reviews, as they actually do on their Instagram (and they also like to close comments)
Theater is not only about creativity and actors, but also about organizing work and respecting the audience. We haven't been able to get to any of the productions for about three years now, and standing in line at 5 a.m. every day doesn't really feel like it. There is only one ticket office, people stand for several hours, there is simply nothing to pay for, because tickets are sold out online in one second, and the theater management "decided" that it would be impractical to announce sales in advance. Well, yes, the cashier apparently sold everything with her own, and as there were no tickets, everything is sold with her own.
From this attitude towards the viewer and the consumer in general, I just want to pass by this place, I have not seen such disrespect for a person and his time for a long time. Moreover, it is worth asking a higher-level organization about how people buy tickets and sell them at exorbitant prices on kufara - this is already some kind of semi-illegality, apparently since requests do not help, you need to write an official appeal. I will definitely do this in the near future with a link to all the necessary regulatory legal acts :)
I recently found out that there are productions for adults. We went to the play "Pacific Belvedere" twice. A performance without words. It's very powerful. Like it. I advise you to visit. Tickets are difficult to buy.
The performances for adults are very good, many people want to get in. So we only managed to go to two performances. Once standing in line for 4 hours, another time miraculously on the Internet on the site. We wanted to take tickets for January, we expected that sales would open on December 1, but a miracle happened on December 10 and naturally no one monitored the tickets on that day. It's sad, at least let me know when the tickets go on sale.
A wonderful team and repertoire. It is almost impossible to get tickets for some performances. A pretty museum of theatrical dolls. I recommend both children's and adult productions.
I have not been to the puppet theater for more than 25 years.
Honestly, I don't really remember the interior as it was, I just remember the fish) But at the moment everything is clean, beautifully neat. There is a buffet with reasonable prices.
I really liked the doll museum.
We came with our daughter for the first time, to the play "in the land of unlearned lessons" the production is just super. The acting is beyond praise. A 7-year-old child was very involved. Leaving after the performance, they immediately bought a ticket for the production: "Tutta Larsen. The first and only one"
I can't say anything about the theater, I haven't been to it yet. but I want to say about the boorish attitude on the part of the theater's box office staff. I called several times in different months to clarify the availability of tickets, the woman answered rudely, briefly and immediately hung up without giving me the opportunity to ask any more questions. today there were regular attempts to call and check the availability of tickets. The theater's box office phone was unavailable for two hours. An hour later, there were attempts to call, this time there were beeps, the phone was picked up and then, without further ado, it was brazenly dropped. I tried to call several times, the result is the same, they just reset the number. after reading other reviews, I realized that I am not the first to encounter such a "polite" attitude from the cashier's staff. I give you one star just because of this.
We got to see the children's play "Sold Laughter". A wonderful miracle! It was interesting for both parents, and the 8-year-old child was very impressed. ☺️
We dream of going to adult performances, but, unfortunately, it doesn't work out: it's very difficult to catch on the site.
I went to two performances with my daughter, I really liked both of them! The performances are original and interesting, the child is delighted, and there is a lot of interesting things in the theater itself - a museum, dolls, even a buffet to look at - it is fascinating)
My daughter and I really liked it. Firstly, the staff knows their business to the smallest detail. Starting from the wardrobe and ending with the pirate cafe. There is a doll museum upstairs with very interesting exhibits. We went to a New Year's performance, from which we were very impressed: a large cast, a variety of costumes, scenery, dolls! It may seem to someone that the theater has been "forgotten" to modernize. But it seems to me that this is his highlight. I highly recommend it!
Great performances! Atmospheric, with a soul for the viewer. The only drawback is the difficulty of buying tickets (they are disassembled in an hour (or even faster) like hot cakes).
Finally, my youngest daughter and I went to the puppet theater, there was a Little Red Riding Hood performance on 02/03/24, in order to choose good places, you need to watch tickets for a month, bought online through ERIP, in principle it is convenient, but there is a fly in the ointment - you need to print tickets, it is convenient if there is office equipment at work, so-so in general. The performance was on Saturday, parking is enough on the nearest streets. The performance itself is of course very cute and interesting, there were dolls and live actors, they kept in touch with the children. The kids were definitely all happy, and accordingly their parents too. Anyone who has not been to the puppet theater should definitely visit, it's worth it. And for sure there is also a doll museum on the technical floor: small but interesting, so you can hang out not only in the cafe during the intermission
The theater itself is tiny, but so cute and cozy. It is sooo difficult to buy tickets for the performance. We got in because someone handed over the tickets in front of us. The artists are wonderful. The performance is great. Every time I visit Minsk, I try to buy a ticket in advance online, but so far without success. I recommend this theater to visit. There are performances for children and adults. I would have gone to a children's play too, to visit as a child.
The Pioneer cinema is also located in the same building as the theater. There is a mosaic panel of Soviet times on the wall. You can take a coffee and look at the panels. There are old movies in the cinema, which is actually why I choose this cinema. Because of the murals and old movies. I was looking at the Cherbourg umbrellas there.

Unexpectedly! I liked the performance and the theater. As an adult, I appreciated everything: the scenery, the acting, and the humor...everything is beautiful. This is not a marionette theater, I used to think it was something else, but there are actors on stage. There are no disadvantages at all. It's rare. There were no queues even in the toilet, and there weren't many people in the cloakroom at the exit... You can see it clearly from any place.... We will come here again, but you need to take tickets a couple of months in advance and quickly sort them out.
The theater is beautiful externally and internally. It's not the first time we watch performances with children, the repertoire is perfectly matched for the ages of children!
We stayed with my mother under great impression from the production of "Notes of a young doctor" (based on the cycle of stories by M. Bulgakov).
It's really worth seeing for everyone!
An incredible embodiment of scenes that, as it seemed to me, could only be imagined in my imagination. Even comparing it with the film adaptation of Balabanov's "Morphine", this incredible atmosphere was created with the help of unusual props, lights, dolls and brilliant acting and looked no less worthy than the cinematic version.
It is impossible even to compare it, and it is not necessary.
I wanted to applaud without stopping.
Thank you very much for the emotions and the reflection launched after watching.
And to all the employees for the atmosphere, which was very warm and friendly. And in the wardrobe, and in the wonderful buffet, and in the hall.
Thank you ☺️
Have you already bought tickets for the next performance 🤍
I really liked the performance and the actors! Exceeded all expectations! We attended the play "In the land of unlearned lessons", it was interesting for both children and adults. These are not banal dolls on strings, it was a very cool mix of man + dolls in a variety of designs. The scenery, music, light: everything is on the level, very original. It's fun, instructive, and uplifting. A small hall, visible and audible, it seems to me, from any place. There is a small doll museum. I definitely advise and will come here also for children's and adult performances.
P.S. a test photo zone with a lady on a bench at the entrance to the hall
I haven't been immersed in the atmosphere of a puppet theater for a long time. The experience is unforgettable! Comfortable foyer, papier-mache and puppet museum and decorations... These are the memories left after visiting this place! Super! Awesome!
I've loved puppet theater for a long time, I went even when I had no child, even to children's productions. It's a very soulful place. There is a little feeling that time has stopped there, for repairs and arrangement inside, but maybe this is even a plus- such a calm world without Instagram and tiktok. The performances and acting are great! Thank you for everything you do.
It is very difficult to get tickets, but after the performance it is quite understandable. I was lucky to get to the production of "Pension Belvedere". I thought there would be puppets, but it turned out that actors in costumes resembling dolls were playing. A strong work, a storm of emotions. And they cried and laughed. I liked that the ending is warm and sincere, like a plush blanket. I highly recommend it if you haven't already
It's a beautiful place. The staff is polite, clean and the performances are interesting. The only small disadvantage is that it is necessary to print tickets, but if it were possible with electronic tickets it would be ideal)
I really like to visit this theater with children, I really like the attitude of the staff. Last time we were a little late, so they wait until all the visitors undress, and then they give the third call
The collaboration of both the director and the artists is very interesting..I watched two performances - the Belvedere Hotel and The Notes of a young doctor, impressed.
We are from Syktyvkar. According to the reviews, we decided to go to the theater. I'm not a fan of theaters. We went to the performance "Sold laughter": an adult, children aged 16 and 12.
Just wow. Sorry for the slang. The kids are thrilled, I'm thrilled! I really liked the musical compositions! I really enjoyed working with the gym! I really liked the "special effects": huge hands (we even tried to touch them), flying trams, all the actors who "touched" the audience. But most importantly, I was lucky enough to read the letter that the woman was carrying to distract the guards! I keep it! Good day everyone!
It all looks very unpleasant. The children did not like either the performance or the theater itself.I have already left a review, but they reject it.Why?If you want honesty, here it is.but put it in order in the end !
