Tirtha Empul is a Hindu Balinese water temple located near the town of Tampaksiring. The complex has three swimming pools separated by fences. Spring water gushes from taps in the walls: thirteen in the first pool, three in the second and seven in the third. They enter the pools alternately, from left to right, and wash under each of the jets. They all have their own meaning: some purify from ungratitude and stress, others give prosperity and wealth.
The place is unique, interesting, but very crowded. If this does not scare you, then, in my opinion, it is definitely worth taking a dip in the springs and getting this unique experience. Perhaps this is self-suggestion, but the feeling of lightness and purification really comes after ablution. In the first pool, where there are the most people, you should not wash in the second and third springs on the right (yes, you will see that the locals do not approach them). From the second on the right, water is taken to wash the dead, and from the third to wash wood or stone during the construction of temples. Going to the source, you need to wash three times, rinse your mouth three times and put your head under the stream three times, and so on in each source! And you will be happy, or at least a feeling of lightness!
