Oh, damn, there are no words here! Everything is unrealistically cool, beautiful, delicious, atmospheric! Beautiful serving of dishes, attention of the staff, delicious wine. The highest praise for this institution! I only ate there the whole vacation. The staff speaks almost all Russian. This restaurant has hit the heart of it!
A great place in the Old Town. Very tasty at sooooo reasonable prices. Duchebara is fantastic, with a dense taste. Gentle and gorgeous babaganush. Fast serving of dishes. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. Atmospheric conditions.
Thanks! I'll be back again)
Reasonable prices, very tasty food and beer! (surprisingly) The staff works well and harmoniously. The design is pleasant and inviting. The atmosphere of the house, a great place for a long spiritual lunch
Excellent choice of dishes and quality of cuisine. Fast and friendly service. Despite the location in the Old Town, the prices are adequate, lower than those of the neighbors, and the portions are larger. An interesting interior if you go to the second hall. I recommend it!
It's a cool place. I strongly advise you to order pilaf: you will be stunned by the serving 🤪
There are also quite tasty appetizers-sauces.
Unfortunately, there was no homemade wine on the pomegranate. Locally, the beer is pleasant.
The atmosphere is great, the staff is polite and quick to serve.
Of the cons: you can stand in line for a while, because the place is quite popular
A stunning atmospheric place in the old town. The prices are pleasant (for the same pilaf, two manats lower than in similar places).
The national flavor, the service, the delicious dishes - everything is delicious.
I love this place with all my heart and I come here every time I arrive.
I recommend. The service is fast enough, but not for all dishes and depending on the fullness, for example, pilaf was cooked for us for 35 minutes. But it was worth waiting for, a very original pitch. Portions are enough to eat. The menu is extensive (there is also in Russian, photos of all dishes are attached), there is plenty to choose from. The prices are quite reasonable. They write that there are queues, but we have never waited.
A super restaurant. With a varied cuisine, delicious food and friendly staff. It is mandatory to book seats on weekends. Especially for breakfast. At least in high season for sure.
The passability is huge because of the location. The waiters are great, everyone is trying very hard. It is difficult to maintain cleanliness with such a large number of visitors, but there were no special complaints. Delicious, but cramped. A restaurant with such popularity needs a bigger room.
The assessment is completely true. Friendly and professional staff. Cozy atmosphere (especially in the back room)Delicious food. Adequate prices. I recommend it to everyone!
The place is great! The food is very tasty, the service is fast, everyone says that the price and quality are the best!, it is, only the portions are less than you expect (but this is not a minus). The kutabs are really very small. Check the receipt, as they brought us less than 1 dish from those that were ordered. Apologized, deleted, thanks to the manager (or hostess)👌Book in advance, we tried to get in without reservation for 3 days, as a result, on the fourth day we got in only on a first-come, first-served basis, since reservations are not accepted on holidays. Thanks to all the staff!!!
There was a queue outside to enter the institution, they waited about 15 minutes. We ordered lula, shish kebab, kutabs. Everything is delicious (but in other places in Baku where we were after this place it was also delicious), prices are like everywhere else in the old city : wine 7 manat, chicken kebab 8 manat, kutab 2 manat (additionally included in the bill 10% for service)
What I really liked was the service and cordiality, while waiting in line, they asked if they could order something at the bar to keep warm - they made tea with lemon for free. The receptionist is very nice, the staff speaks Russian.
This is a fantastic place - it's amazing that you can stumble upon a gorgeous place like that.
Its coolness is indicated by the queue at the entrance in the morning, afternoon and evening (but not for long 15-20 minutes).
Everything that was just ordered is very tasty.
And also the interior - there is a library in the inner hall, I read Bunin there while I was waiting for the order))
In general, this institution can be safely recommended - there will be no shame in it!!
P. S. Oh yeah)))
Okroshka!!! Okroshka is my passion and I have never seen such a presentation before - they pour it into a glass)))
We were in Baku for three days, this is the most delicious cafe that we managed to visit. There is a queue at the entrance, be sure to sign up, they invite you according to the list.
The meat is perfect! Melts in your mouth. We took different meat dishes, all for five. An incredible salad with tomatoes and pomegranate sauce. I have never tasted such delicious tomatoes. They serve quickly, they know Russian. Lunch for two (tea, ayran, appetizer, salad, two hot ones, bread) cost about 50 manats.
I boldly recommend it.
A wonderful restaurant of Azerbaijani cuisine in the old town with an authentic setting: old photographs, carpets, music. A variety of dishes, the food corresponds to the illustrations on the menu. The portions are not small, you can have a good lunch / dinner. Pleasant staff, the wait is not long. And most importantly - delicious and inexpensive. For two people, 40-50 manats. We came here all the time.
Gorgeous local cuisine, everything is delicious and fresh. Places only need to be booked in advance, because the cafe is in a busy place of the Old (inner) city and there are very, very many tourists.
Yes, we checked, the restaurant is good, there is a queue at the entrance for a reason :) a very good selection of dishes, large portions, pleasant service. Because of the full landing, we didn't get a very good place, but it's not that scary. For the price - as everywhere in Baku in good establishments - it is not cheap. But it's worth it.
Prices are very reasonable for the Baku- Icheri-Sheher center. Fast service. Very tasty. Beautiful homely, very cozy interior. There may be a queue for boarding, but the wait for us personally was exactly 5 minutes. Baku residents also come here themselves. I highly recommend it!
I liked everything! Cozy, tasteful interior. Panoramic windows overlooking the old town. Super service, delicious food. Inexpensive prices. We went twice, there were always a lot of people, the first time we waited 10 minutes to be seated at the table. I definitely recommend it!
P.S. Azerbaijani wine is not very good (
In the old town, this place is top, very tasty and quick to cook.
Nice staff.
The prices are reasonable.
You will be in the old town-and you will definitely be there))if you visit Baku, you will not regret coming, the queue is worth defending.
If you want to add up your impression of Azerbaijani cuisine, then you are definitely here. There is an extensive menu, different types of pilaf, barbecue - so by visiting this restaurant, you will make a gastronomic journey.
The service is on the level. In general, many restaurants in Baku have "slow service", but everything is on the level here. The location is also a plus - in the fortress itself, but immediately after the gate There are Two towers.
I definitely visit this restaurant every time I come to Baku.
I definitely recommend it.
It would be all right if they warned about the presence of incredible hot chili peppers on vegetables. It looked like a string bean and my friend felt very bad when she swallowed a piece. I managed to spit it out, but it burned my whole throat. I can't even appreciate the rest of the food, because I didn't feel the taste.
Well, it was possible to merge it into a large stream of people and the waiter forgot to warn, but when after dinner we came up and said that we should have warned about it - the waiters smiled slyly, it looked like banter. An unpleasant aftertaste, spoiled the mood and digestion! I do not recommend it!
Excellent cuisine, everything is very tasty and quite fast, the waiters are friendly and quick, questions about toilets, if you sit down, you can touch the faucet of the hygienic shower and pour water on it, be careful, and so a wonderful place in the historical center of Baku! I recommend it!!
A new country, and of course we asked on the spot where to go for dinner…
They recommended this popular place to us, which was extremely disappointing…
It started with greasy menus, then the waiter, who practically speaks neither Russian nor English, poked at the menu, he wrote it down…
Food(( Lamb lullabies - catastrophically fatty and with a strong smell of old sheep, they could eat…
The liver kebab was better, but also with a strong smell and too salty!
It's not a big deal because hummus and tomato salad are not bad snacks.
In general, I do NOT recommend it!
A wonderful, kind place, with a warm atmosphere, impeccable cuisine, professional service. The delight of the taste, "it is impossible delicious!". The place deserves not 5, but all 10 stars. They took baklava with them, they didn't eat any better! I highly recommend salmon saj. This is something extraordinary.🥰
My favorite place in icheri sheher ❤️
We have returned several times and we will come again as soon as we return to Baku! everything we tried was either delicious or very tasty
the interior and service are at the highest level, and locals often come here - also an important indicator) there are queues at the entrance, especially on weekends, but the place is worth the wait
One of the most favorite restaurants in Baku!
There are always a lot of people, but you can still find a place!
The kitchen is great!
The service is excellent!
I recommend it!
It's a great restaurant that you want to come back to.
We have been 3 times, and all 3 times are very tasty! There's not even anything to find fault with. The prices are affordable, the service is on the level. There is almost always a queue at the entrance. But it definitely makes sense to wait. One of the best (and in our case the best) places in terms of price/quality ratio in Baku
It is a very popular place (at least among tourists), which, by the way, a man who has been living in Baku for several years told me about with a friend (singled out among others). And indeed, I would also note it among other restaurants located in the immediate vicinity (at the entrance to the old town). Cozy interior, fast service, vacuuming tables after each guest (I noted as a plus), hospitality. But at peak times you will have to stand in line if you do not book a table in advance.
The food and drinks are delicious, we liked everything we had time to try there) And also, a la an open kitchen-tandoor, where it turned out to see firsthand how tortillas are baked. They are the freshest here! They took it for breakfast - just drop off your head! I definitely recommend the place to visit
The name of the restaurant translates as mother-in-law ;) It's very cozy. They serve you carefully and quickly. The food is very tasty, we ordered, among other things, homemade stew in a frying pan, I recommend it. For three people with drinks (wine, tequila), the dinner cost only about 120 manats. We had dinner, and happily continued our walk around the old town.
The restaurant is normal, but at peak times it is full of people and there is a problem with boarding. The kitchen is good, the food is delicious, the portions are too small (for meat). You can go out for a meal once. On a sunny day, you need to sit in the back of the restaurant, the sun will roast those sitting at the windows. The price tag is acceptable.
Of all the restaurants in the old city of Baku, this one was the only one where it was always necessary to book places, regardless of the day of the week and time of day. There are always a lot of people here. And it's justified!
1. Great interior! Very stylish and beautiful!
2. Excellent staff. Fast and professional service.
3. An extensive menu with many variations of dishes on fire, fried or baked meats and vegetables.
4. Quite an adequate price tag.
If you are in the old city of Baku, I strongly advise you to come here for dinner!

A very soulful place! We booked a table in advance. The atmosphere is friendly, everything is homely. The staff is attentive. The choice of dishes is wonderful. Everything you ordered is of excellent quality. I liked the interior of the restaurant. I recommend it to everyone for a pleasant and delicious experience!
Authentic Baku food. A must visit in the old town. Everything is very tasty and at a lower price than around in tourist restaurants. There are always a lot of tourists and locals, so it's better to book a table.
The most delicious kebab in our life! They cook very tasty, fast serving. Information for Russians: Russian cards are not accepted, as well as unionpay, take cash. Our average check was about 50 manats for two (the restaurant includes 10% of the cost of the check in the service immediately).
This restaurant was recommended to us by a Baku guide, as a place where he periodically goes himself with family and friends.
What can I say) I would multiply all the positive reviews by 2) super tasty, super fast serving of dishes, and affordable prices. Live music in the evening. While you are in Baku, you would only go here to eat)
A wonderful place, very tasty food. We have been here several times, tried different dishes that cannot be described in words. Come and try it yourself). The only thing is, we waited 10 minutes for the landing. Well, for the sake of a delicious dinner, it's worth it.
We came here based on reviews. We hadn't booked in advance, so we knew we'd be queuing. We didn't regret it a bit!! The food is very tasty, large portions. The service is excellent, everything is very fast, clear, honest (the service fee is stated in the menu). I recommend this restaurant in Baku to definitely visit!
A wonderful place!!
Prices don't bite. The serving of dishes is fast and with a full landing. The kitchen is open until 22h!!!
The products are of good quality, cooked with love. The waiters are smart, polite, will help with the choice, (they speak Russian)! They know their job!
Cozy and beautiful establishment in the city center.
If you are in Baku, then you just need to visit this restaurant. The most colorful place in the center of the old old town. Here you will be fed delicious meat and dolma with yogurt. I have never tried it anywhere else in Baku. Many thanks to Hokum, the waiter of this restaurant, for the excellent and attentive service. After the visit, you will not only be fed, but also in a good mood from the excellent service!!!🥰🥰🥰
A good restaurant where you can eat quickly and very tasty. A large selection of local cuisine. I would not organize a banquet or a holiday here, but going for lunch or dinner is the best thing.
The place is always packed, most likely you will have to wait 10-15 minutes until a table is available.
You shouldn't have been fooled by the reviews
There are restaurants in Baku with much tastier food!
We have been waiting for our very tough meat for a very long time, the tortillas, like in many other restaurants in the city, are delicious.
Good service, nice prices. Tips are included in the bill, which is rather upsetting.
A very famous place. But, in my opinion, it is overrated.
Tomato salad - tomatoes are the cheapest, in neighboring restaurants they are many times better. The saj for two is small, the meat is not tender, the eggplant is tasteless. The soups are medium. The interior is "at the mother-in-law's".
Fast service.
In general, it's fine in terms of price / quality - but you DEFINITELY don't need to queue there. There are excellent other restaurants nearby that are not promoted by guides
Everything is very tasty, but there is a constant queue at the entrance, we waited about 15-20 minutes. But you can book in advance. Do not neglect this option!
