The station is large, but in fact it is needed for the departure of one train to Tbilisi. Located on the outskirts of the city, a taxi from the center is cheap 300 rubles. The ticket offices are open and you can buy tickets in them for cash. Trains are in season, they are extremely popular with tourists - there are no places for a week. Beautiful view for the photo, from the platform to Batumi.
Of the minuses, there are a lot of dogs in the area, and inside the station, although all are chipped!
It is located in such a way that by the time you get to it through all the traffic jams, you will not even want to go. The morning train is wonderful, it's a pity that there is only one even in the season. Pricing for double-decker Stadlers also discourages the desire to use the station - a trip to any distance costs the same money. Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Kobuleti - a trip in second class costs 31 GEL.
I got caught in a downpour and took a taxi. To get behind the barrier - 3 lari. I was not sorry, the main thing was to get a ride to the entrance. I somehow changed my clothes in the toilet (there is absolutely no infrastructure for this, there would at least be a room for the mother and the baby, it would be possible to put things on the changing table... The toilet door is open and won't close, it's cold. And it's the same with the station itself: the doors don't close, the wind is blowing. You can't even keep warm in a cafe, because it's just a nook in the same small waiting area. On weekends, the office of the House of Justice, which is located right here, does not work - I think it would be at least a little warmer there and the door could be closed at least.
The sea view, which everyone praises so much in the reviews, is not so important for the station, but a comfortable waiting room, a comfortable toilet and providing comfort in both heat and cold are quite important aspects, and in all these points the station clearly does not meet the standards.
We visited the Railway station in Batumi. It's a very strange place for a central station. We noticed empty offices and a lack of clear signs. The station itself looks beautiful and modern, especially with a view of the sea. It's not very big inside, but it's roomy enough. Everything was clean, there are comfortable places to relax and wait for the train. However, it is not very convenient that the station is located far from the city center. In general, the impressions of the visit are different, but the place is worth the money.
The train station is normal, but a bunch of taxi drivers, like seagulls, spoil everything.
It is better to call a taxi online 10 minutes before the train arrives in the city so that the taxi arrives normally.
there is more or less a cafe inside, though a Soviet-style one and a grocery store, but there is a place to wait for a train without much comfort
The train journey from Tbilisi to Batumi is very comfortable, the time flew by unnoticed. The only drawback is that they don't offer any drinks, and I really wanted to have a cup of coffee... there are a couple of vending machines with chips and sweets.
We took tickets for the night stadler from Batumi to Tbilisi, on the advice of experienced tourists, in order to save on overnight accommodation. So there are only seats on the trains! We spent the whole night in our seats, which don't even fold out! Well, why are there no reserved seats and compartment cars?
It could have been better, after all, the railway station of the capital of the Republic. The luggage room works in a peculiar way: to hand over and receive the left things, you need to call the phone number indicated on the door and wait for an employee for a long time
I found the schedule only on the electronic scoreboard (see the photo, relevant on 07/25/2024). The 800th trains are double-decker express trains (the cheapest 2nd class ticket is 34 lari for adults, 17 lari for children), the 600th train numbers are an electric train for 50 tetris.
The station is in the eternal stage of renovation.
We left early in the morning for Tbilisi. The journey takes 5 hours. There is nowhere to buy food!
The train arrived on time- according to the schedule. There is a machine with water and some chips on the train ((
It's good that we took care of a snack in the evening.
A paid toilet. There are no seats. There is nothing at all, even water needs to be bought somewhere far away. The most inconvenient taxi entrance and immediately a traffic jam from the station in both directions. Inconvenient
The toilet is paid , in lari , huge dogs are walking inside , well , in general , probably against the background of other Georgian railway stations , it's fine
A small train station, on the outskirts of Batumi. Apparently, taxi drivers collude and they discount Yandex. Taxi, you have to take a taxi on the street, 1.5 times more expensive
The station is very beautiful with a view of the sea, you come and get into another world, the trains are cool, everything is very convenient, but you need to buy tickets in advance, otherwise you can get to high prices in high season.
The trains are of average quality, only seats, the flight attendants mostly speak only Georgian, they are rude to all Russian speakers, and not only, but at the same time the trains depart and arrive at the exact time.
It's hard to call it a train station. There is a platform and a toll station. The rest of the huge building is closed, either for repairs or not at all
It's being renovated now, there's really nothing there except the view from the second floor to the sea. Coffee, food, everything at the gas station nearby..
A small train station. The toilet is paid for everyone (1 lari). If you cross the road there is a beautiful view of Batumi. I advise you to take a photo. At the ticket office, tickets to Tbilisi without a choice of place, it is better to buy in advance, the sale opens in 2-3 weeks during the season
Well, frankly, it's not finished yet, construction is underway, there are not much recreation areas, just a few benches. But when they finish, I think it will be cool, there are no questions about trains, everything is great. But I was just 20 minutes late in Tbilisi, but fortunately I managed to catch the plane)))
There is an air conditioner, a snack machine, and even books can be found on the train. It's a pity the seats are hard and don't recline back. Overall, the staff is clean and polite
Everything is very modest, it is not convenient for passengers to expect a train.

So-so train station. The scoreboard is unknown where, but not in the waiting room. Where to go to land can be understood only if you follow people. There are literally several benches in the waiting room. There is no cafe. However, it is better to stock up on water and coffee in advance - there is no coffee on the next train, and water from the vending machine is worth its weight in gold
Spacious waiting room, large and convenient parking for cars! The ticket offices are always open. Very friendly and attentive, professional staff of the station ‘
The station does not leave the brightest impression. The platform has probably not been repaired since the Soviet era. At the same time, everything you need at the station is there. I liked the train to Batumi
The Batumi-Tbilisi train is super. You only need to take tickets in advance

We were in September 2024, the gym is not working. But it's good that Wi-Fi works! For everyone! But on the train, there is Wi-Fi, but only with Georgian SIM cards..

There are repairs inside the station, trains are running. The trains are comfortable, nimble, the seats are comfortable, there is a toilet.
The building is currently undergoing renovation and is not working. I left this station for Tbilisi several times, and also returned from Tbilisi to Batumi. I wish there was less garbage there. With suitcases, it was not convenient to go down from the railway tracks everywhere.
The best thing you can expect from the station is a direct entrance to the platform directly from the square, without inspection frames and without long confusing passages.
I literally got on the train from the taxi in a minute.
There are several cafes nearby where you can take food on the road
