Inside it looks like the Middle Ages, friendly and courteous staff - explain everything, tell. There is also a free show with a cannon shot at 12.00 - very loud and spectacular.
There are also good tours of the different rooms. Thanks for saving the story! It is interesting to see the history of the opposite side. :)
At one time, I lived nearby and never could get inside, but I was passing through and my family was able to visit it, so there were also small excursions despite Sunday ... YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY VISIT IT!!! if there is also a sightseeing tour, then it is generally a class, but it is also suitable for self-study... in the hall of swords, you can take swords and take pictures with them... in general, everything that is not closed is available for visiting... We had a mini-tour to the torture chamber and a "lesson" from an alchemist where we studied the history of gunpowder... perfectly!!! they gathered a group specially from Russian speakers and conducted it for us... It is also available in Estonian and English... in general, I advise everyone!!!
We stopped on the way to Parna. We were lucky with the weather, so we were not limited in time. We spent about 3 hours in the castle. It is small and as such there are no exhibitions. But everywhere you can take something (weapons, dolls, clothes), interactive excursions are held, children generally have plenty of space! In general, the time was not wasted.
The castle hosts very interesting excursions for adults and children. It's also interesting at the police museum. The town itself is not big, but pleasant
Every time we visit Estonia, we go to the castle in Rakvere. A very interesting place with positive energy. The children were delighted, even with the road to hell.
