Good day! We vacationed with my husband in Sri Lanka from December 1 to December 10, 2024, in Ambalangoda, at the Ramon Beach Resort hotel. The host is Priyanka, a very friendly and friendly person. He greeted us with a welcome fresh drink. The hotel is small, but very cozy, with only 10 houses, with access to the ocean. The breakfasts are monotonous, but very tasty and satisfying. Lunch and dinner can be ordered here at the restaurant, or you can buy seafood at the market and Priyanka will cook for a small fee. Cleaning is available on request. We really liked it, we recommend it!

We stayed at this hotel from 10.01 to 22.01, 2025. We are not whimsical, but this is a dead hotel, the room is dirty, small ants are crawling in droves, lizards are running on the walls inside, I was most horrified when I saw a cockroach from the palm of my hand, the next day after arrival we bought a dichlorvos, treated the whole room and left for the whole day, I did not see cockroaches anymore, but lizards They reappeared a couple of days later. In general, if you do not want to live in camping conditions, it is better to choose another hotel, I do not understand who writes good reviews. The nature is beautiful, swimming is not possible, the waves are huge, but this is not about the hotel! We checked in at about 22.00, asked for dinner, but the receptionist said it was late, they were hungry from the trip, they ordered breakfast in the morning, it was not possible to eat, but on the last day before departure, the receptionist gave them a free breakfast and it turns out they still know how to cook, I don't understand why the first breakfast was so disgusting. All the days we ate at a hotel not far from Ramon called La Curumba.

If you are looking for a secluded holiday away from the crowds of tourists, then you are definitely here! The location of the hotel is excellent - 40 meters from the room and you are by the ocean. And sleeping to the sound of waves is a separate pleasure. The beach and the water are clean. But keep in mind the seasons that take place on the island, because it is quite dangerous to swim in the low season (strong waves and reverse currents, which are difficult to cope with). As for the owner of the hotel, he is a wonderful and kind man named Pryanka, who will always meet you halfway. He carefully prepared our breakfasts every day, which include: fresh smoothies, various types of scrambled eggs, sandwiches with fish or sausage, burgers, bowls of fresh fruits (pineapple, papaya, watermelon), black tea. The host also helped us cook soup one day, which we missed because of the specific local Asian cuisine. The only negative is the "tired" rooms, but the hotel is 2*, so do not expect to stay in mansions. Video surveillance is installed on the territory. Outsiders and locals do not enter the territory. There is a Keels supermarket next to the hotel, 12-15 minutes walk to the city. There is nothing to do in the city itself. Keep in mind that all alcohol is sold only in one store. Overall, I was very satisfied.

A hotel for relaxation, silence and contemplation of the ocean. Night partygoers and lovers of noisy alcoholic parties have no place there. We liked everything. The cuisine is beyond praise, Priyanka cooks superbly. We took breakfasts and dinners, we never regretted it. We also had lunch there. They just crawled up to the room, the portions are huge. Before going to bed, we walked along the beach or along the road. Priyanka can call or write to Whatsapp in the afternoon, the phone is on the stand (he has a Google translator, you can dial in the translator with a translation into Sinhala and send a screenshot) and order lunch, he cooks much faster than in neighboring cafes and, in our opinion, inexpensive.Nearby, in three minutes there is a supermarket, everything is cheap. Fruits can be bought in it. The alcohol store is 7 minutes away by tuk tuk (300 rupees for two there and back, but we paid 500, we stopped for fruit on the way back), discuss the cost before boarding. We bought a branch of drinking coconut (orange), mango, papaya, bananas. Take a fumigator with pills with you, it helps against mosquitoes. I don't like the noise of the air conditioner, so I opened the window at night and turned on the ceiling fan. The ocean is amazing. Of course, you need to adapt to enter, counting the waves, you can swim and ride the waves. It is not unimportant to learn how to get out, maybe somersault and drag so that it will not seem enough)) my favorite beach is to the left of the hotel, next to the fishermen. Fishermen are good-natured, smiling people, they saved a man who swam far away. At night, turtles sometimes crawl out to the right beach and lay eggs. They come to the beach next to the hotel, we were lucky to see them. There are two dogs in the hotel - a red-haired Kiki and a young one, vacationers nicknamed her Angalangoda Petrovna, they guard the hotel from monitor lizards (small, cowardly, harmless) and porcupines (sometimes they come at night). Priyanka cleans rooms on request, personally, and does not trust anyone. We went on a two-day excursion from Coral, the price is the same as all 140 &. A great little hotel right on the ocean. Ambalangoda Resort. There are no people on the beach. Big waves.
The hotel is simple, without frills, but everything is decent inside, there is a safe, refrigerator, normal plumbing. You can take breakfast, lunch and dinner. Delicious, the price tag is humane. A very pleasant host named Pryanko.
The resort itself is located far from the infrastructure. This should be kept in mind. The hotel is ideal for a relaxing, quiet holiday.

The staff only works when there is an owner on site. We were unlucky the owner was only on the first and last day of our vacation (Everything that was promised was provided, but in a peculiar way:there is a restaurant, but there is no staff at lunchtime; there is a TV, but it does not turn on; there is an air conditioner, but it rattles (it is not possible to sleep). They approached the employee and asked him to move to another room, or fix the air conditioner, to which he replied that he could not do anything (As a result, the husband fixed it himself) And so the guys are friendly and good-natured, it's even a pity to write such a review to them, but it's also a pity for the people who come to them.
