This was one of the greatest restaurants I've eaten anywhere, and was the first time we had visited while in Vitebsk! The drinks were absolutely top notched. We had several drinks all prepared perfect. The filet mignon I had was cooked to perfection as was the squash soup eaten by my partner. The service was phenomenal too by the way.
I will immediately note the advantages — very friendly and polite waiters, the atmosphere is inviting, the interior is tastefully decorated and creates a pleasant impression from the very threshold. It would seem that everything started perfectly.
However, alas, it was not without disappointment, and this disappointment turned out to be significant. I ordered a rib eye steak, which, as it turned out, is served by weight — as a result, it came out to 200 Belarusian rubles (about 6000 Russian). Unfortunately, a third of the steak turned out to be pure fat (photo attached). I understand the peculiarities of marbled meat, but here we are not talking about marbling, but about a large piece of fat that could not be fried or sliced.
When the waitress asked if everything was okay, I politely pointed out the problem. Unfortunately, no proposals have been received to resolve the situation. Although in my opinion, in such cases, the staff could offer at least one of the following options:
• bring a substitute (for example, another piece of steak with an adequate ratio of meat and fat),
• make partial compensation for the cost of the dish,
• or at least a compliment from the establishment as a sign of respect for the guest.
None of this was offered, which is especially strange considering the price level. For the amount of 200 rubles, I expected not only high-quality meat, but also appropriate service in case of a dispute.
As a result, the pleasant atmosphere and the good waiters could not compensate for the feeling that I had wasted my money. The final score is 3 out of 5. With such a price tag, you want to be confident in the quality of the dishes served and in the restaurant's ability to work with guest feedback.
