The food is ordinary, the prices are high. There are many places where you can eat better and cheaper. It is clear that the price is explained by the location. But the service could have been better - the waiter did not immediately warn that payment was only possible in cash, so I had to run to the ATM. Then we waited 5-10 minutes for the waiter to come up, pick up the money and bring the change. There aren't many people, and the locals hardly come in. An ordinary cafe is aimed at tourists.

It is a very beautiful place, especially in the evening, near the main square of Samarkand, the fleur of the east is in the air, there is a lot of greenery. The restaurant itself is good, pleasant cuisine, beautiful interior, the price tag corresponds to the place and location, the level of service is a little weak - this is not the strongest part in this country. in general, I recommend it.

A great place to sit quietly and eat delicious food. The interior is not particularly oriental, but it's nice to sit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is not large, but the national dishes are very tasty. We had lunch every day, we waited no more than 20 minutes for the order. The prices are average and fully justified. Compared to other restaurants and cafes, the most delicious place in Registan.

It's beautiful, but I expected more from the pictures on the Internet and in magazines. They can, of course, shoot from the right angle, so that it's pretentious. I liked it better in the evening with the backlight than during the day. I was very impressed by how dilapidated it was on the threshold of the 19th and 20th centuries, a decadent depressing picture of the backyards of the empire. Of course, what is now has been restored very well. But at the same time, it still feels like something uninhabited, empty and long abandoned by people.
Behind the facades of the madrasah are deserted courtyards with souvenir shops flooding them. A small museum with just those photos of complete devastation. There are installations like "a teacher in a medical school is engaged with students." Interesting, original, informative.

Don't be fooled by good reviews and ratings. People write without thinking about the square and the show on the square, just because the name matches. Expensive and not tasty. You'd better not come in. The portions are small and expensive. Three mantas of onions in them are more than meat. Chicken kebab is their wings. French fries are just fried potatoes. Everything is wildly greasy. The toilet is generally a horror, the public ones are cleaner and there is soap. You come to a cafe to eat, but you can't even wash your hands there.
They did not warn that the cards are not accepted. But after being surprised on our part, a terminal immediately appeared and the card was accepted.

Registan Madrasah Ensemble, one of the most iconic places not only in Uzbekistan, but throughout central and Central Asia, this place is as famous as the Taj Mahal or the Great Wall of China. Almost all tourists who have visited Uzbekistan have an image of this complex. We recommend it. Very very tasty. The staff greets you kindly👍🏻 the meat is the most tender. Prices + are the same as all other cafes in the area. We used to come here every day! We have been to other cafes and restaurants, but it is here that you will be greeted with local good-natured hospitality and the most delicious national food.

We entered the establishment based on a score of 5 and positive reviews on Yandex.Maps.
After seeing the interior, and especially the toilet, there were immediately doubts about the adequacy of the rating of 5.
Well, okay, we thought that the food was probably delicious, and we made an order.
We ordered lagman, some kind of local beef dish with vegetables (I don't remember the name), manti, flatbread with onions (I don't remember the name either). They immediately brought a flatbread and it turned out to be "yesterday's".
Then they brought lagman. I've never tasted such a terrible lagman in my life, beef is tough, noodles are also tough and not tasty.
Then the second course was brought, and the beef was also undercooked (tough meat).
The waiter was already called and asked not to bring anything else.
Next, the cook came to the showdown)
In general, they paid only for the drinks that were brought immediately and left there.
I do not recommend it!

I don't recommend it at all. The food is not delicious, the portions are small, the service is a separate topic, tea was ordered, but they simply forgot to bring it. When they reminded me, they brought the wrong one and waited sooo long. Check the bill, they gave us a fine one, and it was very difficult to figure it out. Another surprise is the hefty service fee, for which I certainly would not have left a tip, but everything was taken automatically.

The Samarkand flatbread was oak... in Uzbekistan it is not possible to bring fresh bread ... however, it is hospitable. The staff is pleasant and friendly, but the food is at the level of a good dining room: the mantas look like they've been defrosted, nothing special. Caesar is well made, but from some kind of obviously not freshly boiled/ fried chicken. The tortillas seem to be good, but they are made not from dough, but from pita bread ... you can have a snack, but there are better places nearby.

Lagman is tasteless, there was not a single good piece of meat, solid fat. The tall tortilla was generally finished off. There doesn't seem to be a shortage, and they brought an old flatbread.

It's a great place. Quiet, they cook at home. I highly recommend the lamb kebab. It differs from other places in that on the skewer pieces of mutton (without fat) are interspersed with pieces of fat. Therefore, the kebab is juicy, and those who do not eat fat can remove pieces of fat and eat only meat. The staff is polite and helpful, they cook and bring it quickly.

French fries are fried potatoes, even if they are cut into strips.
There was also an ant swimming in the soup.
The waiter speaks Russian poorly.
And the prices are much higher than in other establishments in the city.
