The food is ordinary, the prices are high. There are many places where you can eat better and cheaper. It is clear that the price is explained by the location. But the service could have been better - the waiter did not immediately warn that payment was only possible in cash, so I had to run to the ATM. Then we waited 5-10 minutes for the waiter to come up, pick up the money and bring the change. There aren't many people, and the locals hardly come in. An ordinary cafe is aimed at tourists.
It is a very beautiful place, especially in the evening, near the main square of Samarkand, the fleur of the east is in the air, there is a lot of greenery. The restaurant itself is good, pleasant cuisine, beautiful interior, the price tag corresponds to the place and location, the level of service is a little weak - this is not the strongest part in this country. in general, I recommend it.
It's clean, pleasant, and looks more like a European restaurant than an oriental one. Everything is delicious, the waiters are just super caring and friendly. The prices for Samarkand are higher than usual, which is understandable, the restaurant is located right next to Registan Square.
A great place to sit quietly and eat delicious food. The interior is not particularly oriental, but it's nice to sit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is not large, but the national dishes are very tasty. We had lunch every day, we waited no more than 20 minutes for the order. The prices are average and fully justified. Compared to other restaurants and cafes, the most delicious place in Registan.
It's beautiful, but I expected more from the pictures on the Internet and in magazines. They can, of course, shoot from the right angle, so that it's pretentious. I liked it better in the evening with the backlight than during the day. I was very impressed by how dilapidated it was on the threshold of the 19th and 20th centuries, a decadent depressing picture of the backyards of the empire. Of course, what is now has been restored very well. But at the same time, it still feels like something uninhabited, empty and long abandoned by people.
Behind the facades of the madrasah are deserted courtyards with souvenir shops flooding them. A small museum with just those photos of complete devastation. There are installations like "a teacher in a medical school is engaged with students." Interesting, original, informative.
Registan is a business card of the city of Samarkand. The heart of the city. The crossroads of the Silk Road. All our guests are delighted with the building, the legend and the history. When we conduct an excursion, we definitely include it in the itinerary. We invite you to take a tour of the city, Registan. We accept travel orders in Uzbekistan.
It's a very beautiful square. Minus one is a lot of people.
We got to the evening laser show, it was great. We also successfully met the guide after 21.00, the tour was just for our company and there were no crowds of people. We were impressed.
It's an amazing place. Majestic. But! In the evenings, absolutely inauthentic events are held on the square, very noisy. Because of this, you won't be able to get to the square in the evening. Previously, there were small lawns and trees on the square, but now everything has been sewn into stone.
Don't be fooled by good reviews and ratings. People write without thinking about the square and the show on the square, just because the name matches. Expensive and not tasty. You'd better not come in. The portions are small and expensive. Three mantas of onions in them are more than meat. Chicken kebab is their wings. French fries are just fried potatoes. Everything is wildly greasy. The toilet is generally a horror, the public ones are cleaner and there is soap. You come to a cafe to eat, but you can't even wash your hands there.
They did not warn that the cards are not accepted. But after being surprised on our part, a terminal immediately appeared and the card was accepted.
The magical pearl of Samarkand. Fabulous, rich, elegant, colorful. Aesthetics of the East! Thank you for the beauty. We were there in the afternoon and evening, we were delighted!
Registan Madrasah Ensemble, one of the most iconic places not only in Uzbekistan, but throughout central and Central Asia, this place is as famous as the Taj Mahal or the Great Wall of China. Almost all tourists who have visited Uzbekistan have an image of this complex. Inside, you can learn the history of its creation and see souvenir shops, artisans and one of the most beautiful mosques in the east. I definitely recommend it!!!
It's a great place, the restoration is well done and the cleanliness is being monitored. The shops inside try to interest tourists, but without imposing.
Entrance to the territory is paid, you do not have to pay for photos with your phone. There are several shops on the territory, prices are reasonable, you can buy drinks and ice cream without worrying about prices.
Registan is a must-visit: the courtyards of the madrasah filled with light, the wall ornaments and gate patterns radiating unique charm, the stones of the square breathing history - all this creates an indescribable atmosphere) Be sure to come and feel) and watch) and listen) and enjoy)
It's a very beautiful place, and at night there will be a historical show from 8:30 to 9:00, especially for tourists who have come to Uzbekistan, and in general it's very beautiful here, yes there are some disadvantages, but there are a lot of advantages
Of extraordinary beauty, a magnificent palace. In the evening, a wonderful and interesting light show about the history of Uzbekistan. The real miracle of Samarkand!
We recommend it. Very very tasty. The staff greets you kindly👍🏻 the meat is the most tender. Prices + are the same as all other cafes in the area. We used to come here every day! We have been to other cafes and restaurants, but it is here that you will be greeted with local good-natured hospitality and the most delicious national food.
The most atmospheric place in the whole of Uzbekistan. I advise you to definitely visit and watch the laser show, which starts at 21:00. You won't regret it. And the ice cream is there, mmmmm
We entered the establishment based on a score of 5 and positive reviews on Yandex.Maps.
After seeing the interior, and especially the toilet, there were immediately doubts about the adequacy of the rating of 5.
Well, okay, we thought that the food was probably delicious, and we made an order.
We ordered lagman, some kind of local beef dish with vegetables (I don't remember the name), manti, flatbread with onions (I don't remember the name either). They immediately brought a flatbread and it turned out to be "yesterday's".
Then they brought lagman. I've never tasted such a terrible lagman in my life, beef is tough, noodles are also tough and not tasty.
Then the second course was brought, and the beef was also undercooked (tough meat).
The waiter was already called and asked not to bring anything else.
Next, the cook came to the showdown)
In general, they paid only for the drinks that were brought immediately and left there.
I do not recommend it!
We were in Samarkand on April 12, 2025. Samarkand has become a real pearl of the East. Beauty, cleanliness, comfort. I love registan. It's a pity that now the entrance is paid. Everything used to be free. You won't regret coming.
Unreal beauty, we took you on a guided tour, a very pleasant young man! Shopping malls, a large selection. But you need to monitor the price a bit before you buy there.
A wonderful restaurant, excellent dishes. I highly recommend trying pilaf! The prices are reasonable, the waiters and hosts are very friendly. The perfect place to sit, relax and have a delicious meal!
I don't recommend it at all. The food is not delicious, the portions are small, the service is a separate topic, tea was ordered, but they simply forgot to bring it. When they reminded me, they brought the wrong one and waited sooo long. Check the bill, they gave us a fine one, and it was very difficult to figure it out. Another surprise is the hefty service fee, for which I certainly would not have left a tip, but everything was taken automatically.
At lunchtime, it was the only restaurant open nearby, the waiters were nice, the Registan was visible from the window, and that was where the advantages ended.
The Samarkand flatbread was oak... in Uzbekistan it is not possible to bring fresh bread ... however, it is hospitable. Manti with meat... rather with onions and a little bit with meat, they were normal in size, delicious, but not for such a price, the dough with onions, the teapot was streaked, Soviet-style paper was in the toilet.
The staff is pleasant and friendly, but the food is at the level of a good dining room: the mantas look like they've been defrosted, nothing special. Caesar is well made, but from some kind of obviously not freshly boiled/ fried chicken. The tortillas seem to be good, but they are made not from dough, but from pita bread ... you can have a snack, but there are better places nearby.
It's a terrible place. It's not a restaurant, it's a diner. We ordered manta rays and lagman. The cops are all flattened, you can see that they were prepared in advance and just reheated. Lagman is tasteless, there was not a single good piece of meat, solid fat. The tall tortilla was generally finished off. There doesn't seem to be a shortage, and they brought an old flatbread.
The place itself is a mess: there are waiters, but the food was brought to us by a woman in flip-flops and a dirty apron. The impressions are terrible. It's strange how they stay in a place like this. Most likely, everyone eats there once, only tourists who do not know this place, buying into the fact that the name "Registan"
I really liked the place. We went all 4 days. Everything is delicious, fast. They always left tips, the guys serve well. It's nice that there is music, there are always people. I liked everything.
Absolutely ordinary food, homemade lemonade turned out to be similar from a bottle) a good lagman, my husband did not like Samarkand pilaf, he said he ate better in Moscow) enthusiastic reviews from fellow citizens are surprising - people, where have you eaten before?)
The flatbread is dry, cut like a loaf, but it's probably a restaurant feature and someone likes it so much.
The main thing is TO CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT!
The cost of the salad was increased 3 times, the change was not 63,000, but 50,000, despite the fact that % of the service was on the bill! They didn't argue, but it was unpleasant, I wanted to leave a tip myself, and then the waiter decided to leave it to himself.
The place is convenient, the food is delicious, they bring it quickly, but such a cynical deception!
It's a soooo cool place, I visited instead with my family when a relative got sick. We walked there for several hours, there is a beautiful place, a cool place, I advise you to visit
It's a great place. Quiet, they cook at home. I highly recommend the lamb kebab. It differs from other places in that on the skewer pieces of mutton (without fat) are interspersed with pieces of fat. Therefore, the kebab is juicy, and those who do not eat fat can remove pieces of fat and eat only meat. The staff is polite and helpful, they cook and bring it quickly.
Overall, I liked everything - the cuisine, the service, and the wine. Prices are somewhat inflated, for individual dishes, for example, "karakhan", and in general at times. But, again, in general, the dinner did not ruin: 500,000 UZS (about 40 EUR).
It's a beautiful interior, but... why offer dishes that you don't know how to cook.
Chicken noodles are cooked as if with the addition of a broth cube, and the pieces of chicken in it will not fit into the child's mouth - you need to break or cut. Any other cheese is added to the Caesar salad, but not parmesan or even hard.
French fries are fried potatoes, even if they are cut into strips.
There was also an ant swimming in the soup.
The waiter speaks Russian poorly.
And the prices are much higher than in other establishments in the city.
It's an amazing place, we're thrilled! Oriental fairy tale, historical places, very beautiful and authentic

A very beautiful place in the afternoon and evening during the light show. The atmosphere is incredible.
Be sure to take a photographer, rent a costume on the territory of Registan and there will be very beautiful photos. Entrance for a tourist is 65 thousand, + permission for a photo shoot is 200 thousand. Rent a dress from 450-600 thousand.
Since childhood, we have come here, had fun, visited historical sites, communicated with tourists in English and Turkish, and we still come with our family.
It's a beautiful place, especially very beautiful, with bright lights, music and 3D performances everywhere

Nice pleasant place. The interior is more European than Oriental. Polite waiters. The food is delicious. I took mantas, they melted in my mouth. The assorted kebabs were also delicious. I took off the star for obviously overpriced prices, as there are many cafes with lower prices on this street. But overall, everything is fine.
The service is good and the location is good, that's it!, Not a budget 12% tip on the bill, no card payment, it's too much. The cuisine is very mediocre, the mutton is old and salty.
Guys, this is not serious. We ordered a caesar salad: it turned out to be with mayonnaise and rye croutons and a laid chicken. Okay, let's move on: a flatbread with cheese (katlama) is a dry flatbread, a little grated cheese inside, not completely melted, and it looks like a roll, nothing in common with the original. Cappuccino is mediocre. Manta rays are generally normal, but no angels on your tongue. In general, I advise you to avoid this place.
