a wonderful place in the very center of Riga. These old aircraft hangars have become a place of real human pilgrimage. Within walking distance from the city market and the bus station and the city center and the railway station. I recommend visiting this attraction, where you can buy groceries for the road and have a delicious meal.
Former pavilions for the construction of airships. I didn't compare prices, of course, all over Riga and here, but they say it's cheaper. All sellers have different prices for the same product. Payment is possible almost everywhere by card
The building of the meat pavilion is certainly the most beautiful architectural monument. In the pavilions, you can buy products from many countries of the world at greatly inflated prices relative to chain stores, collective farmers selling their goods can no longer be found there.
The market is like a market. Like everywhere else, you have to walk and look. The prices are different - if you search, you can find something cheaper.
An iconic place in Riga. You can buy everything at fairly reasonable prices. A very good selection of fish. Not a bad food court, where you can have a quick and tasty snack. There is a bus station nearby, not far from the railway platform. Minus one check-in for the fact that there are a lot of unpleasant marginal personalities around.
Great market!
Several pavilions, each with its own specialization.
The variety of products just makes your eyes run away.
The prices are different. Some are more expensive than in Minsk, and some are cheaper (seafood, fruits).
Next to the grocery store there is a small clothing market with adequate prices, especially if you bargain a little (I bought a great suitcase here for only 30 €).
By the way, do not buy souvenirs in the city center, in the passage between the pavilions there is a small kiosk where you can buy souvenirs 3 (!) times cheaper. And buy Riga balsam only in ordinary grocery stores away from the center, it is much cheaper there.
The impressions of this place exceeded all expectations. Products for every taste! At good prices with a large selection. The market is open until 18.00, if you want to buy something there, it's better to come early, as some places inside begin to close before 18.00. And keep cash with you, as they mostly don't have terminals. But there is an ATM on the market, which was very convenient.
There are different products in each pavilion. One of them has a food court where they cook a wonderful fo bo
The Central Market in Riga is one of the oldest and largest markets in Europe and America. The history of the market spanned more than five centuries. At the beginning of the 20th century, major reconstruction was undertaken. The hangars served as the basis... - for Zeppelins. It was decided that five huge hangars should be turned into five pavilions for trade. Since then, these amazing structures + shopping malls and all sorts of shops around have been successfully operating. You can buy and get almost everything that such objects sell. It is located near the Daugava River and the railway station.
A great market. There is everything you need for every taste. It can be safely attributed to one of the main attractions of Riga thanks to the fish department. 😋
In my opinion, this is a landmark place in Riga) Definitely worth a visit, especially the fish pavilion! The only drawback is that prices have increased significantly in recent years (If you want to buy something edible as a souvenir, it's better to do it in large supermarkets like Maxim's
I liked that everything you need is easy to find. As well as the cleanliness and friendliness of the sellers. The food court area is a little annoying with its smells. Let those who like to roast meat make a better hood at home. Not everyone can tolerate such "flavors" without nausea.
Recently, the market has noticeably deteriorated, both in terms of cleanliness and organization, as well as in terms of service culture and assortment. At times it seems like it's actually a trip back to the 90s.
It is a very interesting place, you can buy high-quality products, but the most important thing is of course the food court area, everything is very tasty and high quality.
It looks like a very beautiful market, all the rows are neatly arranged inside. Prices don't bite. Plus, it is located in the city center, which is good news. I recommend it to everyone!

I've been to this market. It's a hard impression. I remember him as a child. There was a sense of celebration. Music, fun all around. And now there is despondency and beggars all around. Heavily.
