There is nothing in common with the railway stations of the USSR or in Russia. There is no such smell, do not understand coal, rubber and electricity. Voezal itself looks more like a shopping mall. No metal detector frames, no cops, no bums. Wi-Fi is free and fast. Everything was perfectly explained in Russian.
