Every time I visited my grandmother in Latvia, I admired the beauty and grandeur of the Riga TV Tower. Unfortunately, it was not possible to visit the tower itself. If I'm not mistaken, it has an observation deck at an altitude of 97 meters. Well, I've only seen her from afar. My impressions are still there! I hope that I will come to Riga again soon. 😇
I found interesting facts about the building from the Internet. Perhaps some of the readers will be interested.:
Riga TV Tower is a television and radio broadcasting tower in Riga (Latvia), built between 1979 and 1986.
The height of the TV tower is 368.5 meters, which makes it the tallest building in the Baltic States and the third tallest in Europe after the Ostankino and Kiev TV towers.
The tower was built on the island of Zakussala ("Hare Island") in the middle of the Daugava River (Western Dvina) at an altitude of 7 m above sea level.
Externally, the tower is a structure of three "legs" (supports of the main structure) and a spire. Two of the "legs" have high—speed elevators that take 97 meters to a height in 52 seconds, and the third has a backup staircase and cables running from the administrative building to the transmitters.
Good luck to all!
Our organization MU 26 of the sevzapstalconstruction Trust of Leningrad was built
