Five stars is for nature! The rest of everything that surrounds and crept into this beauty does not deserve a positive assessment. Forty and thirty years ago, landscaping was better, there were no these ridiculous cafe buildings and the granite staircase leading to the lake was in fresh condition.
Stalin liked to relax here. He was once served a sturgeon kebab for lunch. It was delicious, but, as it seemed to the leader, it was too expensive - ten rubles. He wiped his moustache and said that this dish should be available to every Soviet worker, and in order to do that, he should be given a price...three rubles. A week later, these kebabs cost so much all over the country.
A wonderful place! I would love to come here again. The beauty of nature is indescribable. I recommend

The beauty of this place cannot be conveyed through the lens of a phone camera… It needs to be seen!

The Ricin National Relict Park was established on October 17, 1996 on the basis of the Ricin Nature Reserve.
In addition to Lake Ritsa, it includes the Blue Lake, Gega Waterfall, lakes Malaya Ritsa and Mzy, mineral springs in the Auadhara valley, canyons of the Bzyb, Gega and Yupshara rivers.
Routes have been developed for outdoor enthusiasts and these places can be reached by jeeps from travel agencies. Unforgettable impressions of the trip and photos with magnificent views will remain with you for the rest of your life!
The park covers 390 square kilometers.
Incredibly beautiful landscapes, a fascinating road to the lake, clean water, Stalin's cottage, delicious food. Everything is fine, you just need to visit.
I think for the price of 400 rubles per person, we could start making roads, it shakes quite a lot, but the great compensation is the fascinating views of both the lake itself and the views on the way to it.
One of the most famous and visited nature reserves in Abkhazia. The pearl of the park is Lake Ritsa. As the local proverb says: " Those who have not been to the Ritz have not seen the Caucasus."
Incredible beauty, indescribable sensations, amazing energy.
But besides this lake and other popular tourist spots in the national park there are inaccessible corners of untouched nature. Beautiful rivers and alpine meadows. It's good that they are still preserved and pleasing to the eye.
It's a pity you can't swim and everything is 150 rubles.

The impression of the place was spoiled by the local "guardians of the law", who on the way to the lake engaged in extortion from tourists. It's easy to talk boorishly. I'm afraid Yandex won't miss the censorship)) They don't care about compliance with the law, they're just looking for a living. When communicating, they offered to get into an incomprehensible black jeep, if refused, the phrase we will shoot you now sounded a couple of times))) It's cool, especially when a 5-year-old child heard it all, and then it was difficult for him to explain why the policeman said that. Dad. The dementia of some Abkhazian individuals is simply amazing. The country is essentially a bottom that lives off tourists. Which are then treated like that. If it weren't for us, now it's a guardian of the law, herding goats in the mountains, and not showing off in the parking lot for cars.
It was in 1990. before the war. There was beauty, peace and quiet, plus the August sun. Unfortunately, the photos were lost in the photo studio, since it was 1990...
The whole mood was spoiled by the workers of the Ricin National Park. When paying the environmental fee at the entrance, they swore at them, threatened to beat them, for allegedly incorrectly indicating the number of people in the car. They were even too lazy to come out of their booth and take a look. It's a pity there was no phone at hand to record a video. The Abkhazian "hospitality" is evident! Don't believe in this nonsense!
