Good afternoon to all readers!
We recently returned from vacation, where we spent 10 whole days at the Rixos Down Town Hotel. Although 5 days was enough. Boredom is mortal, perhaps for families with children more or less, but there is absolutely nothing for young people to do there. Every day, invited bands with the same covers of songs perform on a tiny stage, or a DJ performs, which includes mostly only Russian tracks.
Be led by the name "Rixos" and the advice of an employee of coral travel. 200 thousand rubles is not worth this trip in any way!
As it turned out later, it was an ordinary hotel, a couple of years ago it was bought by Rixos, prices were raised, and repairs and maintenance were left the same. Don't get fooled by the name! Read the reviews!
They promise a beach on the first line, as a result, there is a 500 subway to go to it and also go down by the city elevator, where a lot of locals go with you, in the evenings a queue accumulates!
The territory of the hotel is small, as indicated in the photo. The rooms require renovation, as the furniture is old and the hair dryer only works for 2 minutes.
There is a separate story about nutrition. It's monotonous! Without any problems or even spices. You can't take the drinks yourself now, you have to wait for the waiter, who can forget about you and carry tea and water for up to 25 minutes! Of course, not all of them, there were also good employees, thank them very much for this! Ala kart was pleased with good service and delicious food!
The sea is very clean and warm, the service on the beach was also pleased with delicious food, fruits and drinks.
Families with children mostly have fun at the pool.
Bottom line: I do not recommend spending so much money on this ordinary hotel! It's better to read the reviews and choose another one that will match its value!

The food is very mediocre. Not on the beach. We have to go. The elevator didn't work every other day. They were on the stairs. You can go to the beach by bus. The entrance to the sea of Pebbles is painful to enter and exit, but with a certain equipment of norms. Confidently forward. I raced in crocs.

A good city hotel, for holidays out of season, because there is no beach, there is an elevator to the beach, which does not work out of season. There are many shopping malls, parks, and places to walk around. There is a pond with goldfish on the territory, feeding of which can be enjoyed by both children and adults. The food is standard for Turkey, without special frills, the mini-bar is free: water, juice, cola and a couple of beers, a heated outdoor pool, there is no pool in the spa, a fitness room is present, prices for services in the spa are sky-high! In general, a very solid 4, or 5 with a huge minus.

The location is wonderful - in the huge Ataturk city Park, near the embankment - you need to take the elevator down, a nice private beach. The room stock is not new, but it is very good. Its own park with waterfalls and streams, a cute outdoor pool. Nice restaurant with a veranda. The rooms are cozy, but with a view of the road (city) they are very noisy. The atmosphere is very democratic: no fines for lost keys - they will just give you another one when you apply, beach towels are freely available. The staff is smiling and ready for your requests... If Antalya, then it is quite possible to stay in it...

Disgusting! This is a maximum 3-star hotel, ranging from accommodation and rooms to the beach. It's not my first year in Turkey and it's not the first time this season, but this is the most disgusting hotel I've ever visited. The kitchen is meager and disgusting, for dinner there is only roast turkey and beef, which cannot be chewed. The side dish is undercooked rice. The rooms are in poor condition, from the tea set to the condition of the furniture. The room was requested with one bed and provided with two separate ones. View of the garbage dump!

I had a rest from 1.02.20 wonderful location, I was lucky with the weather and walked along the beautiful embankment, and the old town, as well as a large shopping center nearby. Of the disadvantages of the hotel, those who love disco, this hotel is not for you. Alcohol was also upset, you could only drink beer and wine, everything else was rare woof........ There are problems with food too, the heated pool is outside, but not big, the spa is also average. Also, those who are considering traveling with children, this hotel is not for you. The staff is excellent, polite, the room is also good.

The worst service, below 3 stars. They ruined the new year. If you want humiliation, please come here. We bought a tour for the new year, they said that the gala dinner is included. Upon arrival, it turned out that the gala dinner was sold out 10 days ago, but there will still be some kind of program. 2 hours before the new year, we were informed at the reception that from 12 a.m. there will be a pool table. We changed our clothes, went to the pool, there's nothing there. We went to the reception, they said, they didn't say anything like that, you can go to a gala dinner party, and we are already in warm evening clothes. And they don't have to report anything at all. At 2 o'clock it was over, and we just arrived, having changed our clothes again. A mess, a disgrace, a humiliation, a spoiled vacation. An old, dilapidated hotel. Welcome, poor people. It doesn't even smell like Rixos. The worst vacation. Humiliation. Return the money. Only time cannot be returned. Don't believe the travel agents, they promised mountains, then said they didn't have the right information. It sucks

I am writing my review about RIXOS DOWNTOWN, as a tourist and as a travel agent!
I was on vacation with a friend from 4.03 to 10.03
What I want to say :
Let's omit the flight, there's nothing to tell about it.
Transfer is a plus of the hotel, as it will be the very first in the check-in list (in the case of a group transfer)
Check-in is out of season, as always fast, no matter when you arrive.
We had a STANDART LAND VIEW room, you can't find fault, because we didn't think of paying for the sea in advance
Here is the most relish! You are settled on the road (noisy road) the room was cold, damp and dark because there is a tree opposite the balcony and it blocks the sun, which is why there can be no heat in the room, the air conditioner did not work in the room on heat mode the balcony was polluted by birds, as I repeat next to the tree.
Naturally, we went to change the room to something more comfortable.
At the reception, we were offered to change the room with a sea view, with an additional fee of 10 euros per day and it cost us 60 .
Of course we agreed!
The room was nice, bright and cozy (the view was of the sea and the Ferris wheel and the mountains. The perfect view, after the dullness of a few months in Moscow!
There are no complaints about the room, except that the hotel needs renovation.
The territory of the hotel is almost absent, it is small but quite, everything is there.
Two swimming pools, one heated. There are two bars at one pool and at the second. Music is played only during the day in the pool area.
The lobby is divided into two floors
There is a bar everywhere.
The idea is good because you don't need to run anywhere on the floors. Everything is everywhere.
Also, delicious coffee is poured on the second floor of the lobby bar (they can pour it with themselves, as in a coffee shop, which is very convenient for me)
In the evening, either the violin or the piano. Unfortunately, there is no entertainment in the hotel. Therefore, those who are going to hang out and dance choose RIXOS SUNGATE. There's also an audience over 50.
Food and restaurant.
Since we live in the world of Coronavirus, you can't put as much food as you want with a mountain.
You need to ask the staff to put what you want. If you want more, say more. Sometimes, of course, they don't understand what kind of cheese you want, for example. Poking his finger through the glass, they can give him the wrong thing)
The food is quite delicious. It makes no sense to list, the assortment is quite large.
Perhaps it is worth noting the work of the staff :HE'S NOTHING. Since, again, a pandemic, you can't stand at the bar, you have to be served by a waiter, but waiting 30 minutes for tea with lemon is not even in the Moscow dining room.
Yes , I understand , there are a lot of tourists . There are no fewer of them in winter, but no more than in summer. What will happen in the summer, it's scary to imagine! In a restaurant at breakfast , you have to wait a long time for water or juice to wash down the food .And all the waiters just pass by, not paying any attention to you. And again, I understand that I am not alone in the hotel, but then why are they there and these rules at the time of quarantine! The hotel needs to expand its staff, even if it is not in season.
Employees must wear gloves in the restaurant. But what was our surprise when we came at the end of lunch, and the employee collected pickles with her bare hands, put them in the same barrel that they would put out for dinner and then moved on to fresh vegetables, still without gloves. Well, let me remind you, we live in the world of the crown, and indeed all possible diseases. You can't do that! I attach a video of this action below (this is already with fresh vegetables, but you can see barrels with pickles)
On the last day, a friend asked for tea with lemon and juice, of course they never brought it to us and she went to the counter herself.I came in shock. I ask what happened?
The answer is amazing.
She went up to the bar and asked for tea....
The bartender, took a used cup by someone previous, rinsed it under water and began to pour tea, the waiter arrived in time, who whispered to her that the customer was watching, she turned around and quickly replaced it with a clean one
The cup went to the kitchen to get another cup and started pouring tea again . Well, how is that? You are RIXOS not just a FIRST CLASS hotel in Alanya! We do not just come to relax, but also live in these hotels ourselves, so that later, using our example, we can tell the tourist what a cool hotel it is and it is worth the money spent, but unfortunately we have an opinion of an overpriced 5*.
I hope it was all a one-time thing. A lot will change to sell this chain of hotels.
