The worst hotel I've ever been to.
For food: the queue at the canteen before breakfast, lunch and dinner, the second queue for pancake fritters / chicken / pork / pasta, clean cutlery and plates end in the middle of breakfast / lunch / dinner, eggs were seen once in 10 days, cheese was a couple of days, as well as bread. The smoked sausage ended on the third day of our stay. There were no fish. There was no ice cream for 3 days, the rest of the days were either chocolate or vanilla, only for lunch and dinner, that's all that was sweet, not counting pineapples, papaya, guava and jams made from them. In the end, watermelons appeared, but they tasted bad. The restaurant had almost everything the same, only with clean plates and cutlery. I managed to eat fish in the Cuban one, but only pork in the international one. Rum, beer, sprite, sugar, coffee and cola are also running out on the bar or not at all.
The room was cleaned every day, but the room was still dirty, they left a tip every day for this, they only made the bed. There is no shower gel or dental kit. The shower is terrible, and the hot water ran out one day. The windows in the room have huge slits. We weren't very lucky with the weather, it was windy and the room was cool. I never turned on the air conditioner. At the time of my stay at the hotel, the vacationers lost their phone, headphones, children's toys, sunglasses, forgotten on the hotel grounds, as well as personal belongings left in the room. Also, beach towels were not given to all vacationers.
It's a long way to the city center, and it's a 15-minute walk to a taxi in the evening. There's a free bus during the day, but we're RUNNING OUT of seats!

Russian russians have been to this hotel more than once before, the impression was more or less positive, there was a Russian-speaking staff, the service corresponded to Cuban, this lies in the fact that Cubans, Canadians are served first and foremost, and Russians last, although they pay the most money. We arrived this October, we are currently here, and we are completely shocked that even the average hotel has slipped into full heat. The whole buffet is presented; breadcrumbs, grated carrots, beets, cucumbers, small green watermelons, a little ketchup, cinnamon, the best thing is that there is honey, all this is worth air conditioning from morning to evening, probably so as not to spoil before the arrival of local Cubans who come on weekends and devour everything like locusts, but for them there is a plus that they are served in comparison with the Russians in the first place, we do not know maybe because of them, but we did not see desserts, but about dessert it is unlikely since it was not there all the time.For dinner, the same thing is offered in the same portion order through the waiter , who are waiting for tips. Animation is currently completely absent, although there used to be mariachi, the musical Havana, and in general an art director who organized various competitions and performances of artists. There are two pools, you can swim in the smallest one, but you can't swim in the big one, so as not to clean it. The beach is free of shells and leaves, they also do not clean it this year. The representative of the host party from the company Harmony Tour partners of Biblio Globus are just another intermediary between the tourist and the Cubans, they absolutely do not solve anything. We raised the question of moving to another hotel, because even without paying attention to the indifference of Cubans, shabby old furniture, ancient interior, dirty towels, Still the lack of hot water and water pressure and the non-coincidence of the declared all-inclusive portion meals, which is a cheaper service, this is a violation of the contract of services provided by the tour company the basis for relocation . The hotel staff has its own commodity-money-commodity relations, in which it is impossible to be on the sidelines. The bartenders at the pool bar exchange alcohol for meat at the snack bar, in the lobby the bartenders use the services of the canteen chefs. The date of stay at the hotel is 14.01 - 20.01.2020. For me, the hotel is simply gorgeous (if you only need to lie down for the night). The beach is magnificent: sand, waves, pelicans and a bar nearby. The center of unhurried can be reached on foot in 20-30 minutes. How Cubans learn from the crowd of Russians at the market has remained a mystery to me. Maybe a spot on the shoulder. The food is excellent, buffet style. You can choose from what has already been prepared, or they can cook something right in front of you. The local rum is above all praise and you wake up cheerful in the morning. Yacht trips followed by lunch on an island in the ocean will be remembered for a long time. My wife still remembers swimming with a dolphin with delight. There are no photos left because the day before the flight, the phone was drowned in the ocean. A walk around the city can be carried out on a tourist bus, you will travel the entire island in a little over an hour. Prices are the same everywhere. If you take something with you, it's better to take it from the airport from duty free. The prices are the same, but you can take more.

I'll start with the rooms, if you want a nice room + sea view, you need to pay extra. We paid extra and our room was normal, but the hot water in the room was exclusively at night or early in the morning (in principle, they have problems with water, especially hot). If you don't feed the cleaner, she will clean poorly, or maybe not at all, so we left a dollar every day. A small cockroach was seen in the room, but really one) There is a refrigerator in the rooms, but it has not been washed for 100 years and most likely does not work. There were no doors in the wardrobe, the safe was opened with a card, not with a password! And so in general, the room is normal to sleep with. As for the hotel, the elevator worked alone, barely traveled, it was not very pleasant to climb the stairs, because it was very dirty, they had not cleaned there for a very long time, bottles, condoms, etc. were lying around. The men's toilet in the lobby was flooded, you can go there by boat) The toilets often did not have soap and papers (they basically have problems with this). Beach towels were given to us once for the whole vacation, i.e. they are not changed there from the word at all, not to whom they did not get at all) Bars are very often empty, everything is poured in plastic cups (sometimes they were washed) To pour beer is a separate story, you need to stand in line. We adapted and poured into 1.5 liter bottles, but we also had to feed the bartender) There was often no Milk and coffee. In general, they often did not have something. The Internet is terrible, mostly good only in the lobby and then limited.As for the food-to be honest, it's terrible:1. These are long queues in the morning for scrambled eggs, at lunch for meat. 2. I had to get forks, spoons, glasses 3. Meat, cutlets were constantly undercooked, I had to force them to cook 3. The food is not all salty, the salt on the tables is all petrified, it was not possible to salt the food 4. The juices are diluted with tap water 5. The fish was only once, basically there was always only chicken breast and fatty pork and often everything was undercooked. There were no shrimps. From vegetables:cabbage, cucumber, pepper, pumpkin and that's it. From fruits: pineapple, goava and papaya. There were no sweets at all. Bread was only in the morning in the form of rolls. In general, the food is brrrr. 6. To enroll in Alaska, you need to stand in line from 8.30-10. We were in the Cuban One-everything is the same as in the Dining Room, we just didn't stand at the cutlery. We also visited Casablanca 2 times, the first time we didn't have enough Lobster, and the second time they gave us Lobster, because we signed up early. In general, it's still a quest.
As for the beach, they don't clean the beach at all. The only good things there are the ocean and the sun.
The city is about an hour's walk away.
The conclusion is for me personally:if I ever choose Cuba for a vacation, which is unlikely of course, then I will never go to this hotel:the service is very poor (it is rather absent), the food is bad.

We had a rest in February 2024. We really liked it, a large beautiful area with picturesque views, a magnificent beach and ocean, azure water! Two buildings, but one is not working. There are a lot of vacationers.
We lived in the room on the 6th floor, cleaned every day, swans and landscapes made of towels 😍 We did not pay extra for the room, as a result we were given a view of the lagoon, but this did not upset us, we watched the dawn every day, because the sun rises from this side
I still didn't understand how Wi-Fi works, but it worked out to send a message, take a photo or watch a feed, it catches best in the lobby, but it crashes very often. They didn't buy a SIM card, they were well fed, they weren't hungry, there were a lot of different food. The only drawback in terms of nutrition is queues, the staff are very friendly and friendly, but they do everything slowly. You have to wait a long time for hot food to be cooked. By the beginning of breakfast / lunch / dinner, the doors were closed, a large crowd was accumulating, everyone wanted to go in first, and they could also delay the opening for 5 minutes. Not thoughtfully, and this spoiled the impression a little. I would also like the territory and the beach to be cleaned more often. After evening parties, cups and some napkins were left on the street in the morning

We agreed, but we only had 100, we haven't had time to change yet. What started the concert with an attempt to exchange dollars for pesos at a rate 2 times lower than the real one. After arguing that we were ready to pay, but we had nowhere to change, and they had no change, I said that we would then change the room to a regular one. To which my mc was told to try to change the money before the end of the shift of these excellent employees, or we would be moved to a regular room. We left to get drinks, and a few minutes later my mc went to take a picture of the canteen's working hours. He was caught by a receptionist boy and said that he had "agreed" and we could live in a room just like that))))))
The food at the hotel is bad. The food is the same every day. For breakfast, they make scrambled eggs or an omelet (over-salted, it's better to ask for no salt at all) and pancakes like pancakes (not wow, but I kept on them). Of the fruits we had with us were guava, pineapples (good!), watermelon (no, like fodder) and papaya (I can't appreciate, not my fruit, it seemed tasteless to me). For lunch and dinner, the same food. We saved ourselves with rice and minced meat or chicken legs. What is fried in front of you, for which there is a queue, is always unroasted inside, raw. The pasta was overcooked, but sometimes you could also eat them. I didn't even try to take what were called salads or snacks (various mixtures in common plates) because of disgust and fear of poisoning. Well: we didn't get poisoned, although each of us suffered an intestinal disorder on one day (on different days).
The service, of course, is zero. We left tips and gifts to the maid, she washed the floor from the sand for us, it seems that she changed her underwear once (with a stain in one place was replaced by a stain in another place, so it was probably new), one (for sure) I changed towels once. Maybe even twice. They are not perfectly clean, so it is not always clear whether they have been replaced or not. The cleaner was Lundres, on the sixth floor, there are no complaints about her)
By the way, the elevator button does not work on the sixth floor. One elevator works on all floors (sometimes the second one works, but a couple came out with us, opening the doors with their hands). From the sixth, we either went down the fire escape to the fifth and left from there, or through the door of the camarera (cleaning lady) we drove a service car.
We did not meet cockroaches until the last day, on the last day we saw them just in the workroom when we were leaving the service elevator. The guys said they saw it in the dining room. I, thank God, have not met, otherwise I would not be able to eat at all)
The beach is good, there are enough sun beds and umbrellas, the ocean is clean, both the surf zone and the ocean are cleaned of algae. there are bulls all over the beach, of course, but this is tolerable. Sometimes garbage washes up from the ocean, we threw everything in the trash if we met something along the way. The ocean was cool in the morning, warm in the evening. It has nothing to do with the hotel, but I tried to concentrate on the ocean, otherwise I would have been completely upset.

As for alcohol, I will say that I saw it, since I didn't drink it myself: sometimes there was beer, sometimes not. Once there was even a shelf of cans, which surprised us very much. Rum has always been there, they make some cocktails with it. Pina colada has never been made) for non-alcoholic: there was always water (it has a strange taste, but definitely from bottles), local soda (orange is the least sweet), pineapple juice (it seems natural). The juice of guava and watermelon was not very good. Get ready that after this hotel guava you will smell about everything. The coffee at the lobby bars is delicious.
In general, if we are going to return to Cuba, we will consider hotels of the Melia chain and above, because it is mentally very difficult without food and normal drinks. We have never seen seafood. Avocado appeared on the last day, although there is a mountain of it on the market.
Cuba itself is interesting, specific, it would be interesting to study it more, but I definitely do not recommend the hotel.

We were checked in immediately upon arrival at 8.00 in the morning, first offering breakfast, and then we were given room keys and connected to the Internet (the password to the Wi-Fi is given for 10 hours and then, if necessary, extended).It was my birthday on the day of arrival, and after learning about it, the girls handed me a bottle of rum and settled me in a room on the 6th floor with an ocean view (and when booking a tour, about 8000 rubles had to be paid for a room of this category).
There are three elevators in the hotel, but only two work, and sometimes the first one does not come to the 6th (our) floor, but we do not get upset and walk, it is very useful with an all-inclusive system.
Rooms: everything is a little old, but it is uncritical, the balcony door does not close well. Take a rope to dry things on the balcony, although they do not dry completely, as the humidity is high.
The shower and toilet are working, although the toilet drain button is stuck (((, but I don't want to waste time waiting for a repairman. The refrigerator did not work when moving into the room, but it was immediately changed, now everything is OK. The TV is working properly, but we did not find any programs in Russian)). 1.5 liters of water is put in the room every other day. The room is well cleaned, it is done daily, pleasant surprises are left on the beds in the form of swans, hearts made of blankets. Here's a cookie with towels.... there are two small towels in the room for two and others are not provided. We got out of the situation by taking a large beach towel from the maid, which we use after a shower. Instead of tipping, we leave chocolates and sweets on the bed, and it is also welcome to leave money. For tips, as well as payments in local shops and markets, I recommend exchanging euros and dollars for local currency, as it is more profitable.
Restaurants and bars of the hotel: the hotel has a 24-hour bar on the second floor, delicious coffee and tea are prepared on the ground floor, two more bars on the street: by the pool and on the beach. The pool is beautiful and large, but we haven't swum there yet, as the ocean is just a fairy tale. The hotel has its own beach with free sun beds. And the third one, I didn't remember the name of where they make burritos. The food there is of course for 3 minutes, but there is the coolest interior. The hotel also has a gym, it's hot in it. I've never seen anyone there. Rum and beer are delicious, flowing like a river. Cocktails are all different and according to the mood. You can catch 7 and 8, from which it is better to drink clean with ice. The later the evening, the more likely they are not to be found. There are three basikas on the territory - children's, 80cm, 1.30-1.50. there is a bar on the basik where you can order a cocktail without leaving it. It is often more profitable to pay in pesos. For example, if it says 250 pesos beer ($1.5), then they are already asking for 5 dollars (at the official exchange rate). I recommend storing valuables, including clothes and cosmetics, in a closed suitcase. There were isolated cases, even leaving dollars and chocolate for tea. Personally, everything was OK. In our building, it was necessary to stand in line to get inside the restaurant, the dishes were poorly washed, we had to wait for them. The second building was less populated, so they began to eat there.
They did not drink alcohol from the hotel, they bought it in the store. The coffee at the bars is so-so.
Disgusting hotel, filth, mess, pigsty. The lazy staff gather in groups all day and chatter. The food is all disgusting, the meat is all raw. There are no plates and appliances. There are no towels in the rooms. I do not advise you to come here
The furniture is a bit old, but it's not critical for me, since I'm practically not in the room. They clean it every day, put a liter and a half of water every other day. Good food, quite varied, every day in addition to various meat dishes, side dishes, various pastries and ice cream were given for dessert, there was only passion fruit and pineapples. On the street, in the 24-by-7 mode, they gave hot dogs and hamburgers of local preparation. The disadvantages of drinking were from alcohol, they gave only some low-grade rum, but it was good beer, cola and various soft drinks were very much diluted - almost like ordinary water. There were some homemade juices in the dining room - whipped passion fruit with water, it tastes like crap. In short, the drinking situation was not very good. Various musicians performed in the hotel buildings every day. The location of the hotel is also excellent - almost directly on the ocean coast. However, you will have to choose either with an ocean view, these rooms are often not free, only if you are lucky, but there is practically no sun in these rooms all day and it is very damp in the rooms themselves - there is a stench of mold all over the room, air conditioners will not even save, because they also stink of flowers. Or take it to the other side - there is of course a worse view, and some kind of factory is beeping around the clock, the squeak from that factory is all over Varadero. But if you don't pay attention, it seems to be normal, but sometimes at night it still prevents you from falling asleep. But in these rooms there is sun all day and due to this there is no dampness, as in rooms with ocean views. In short, the hotel rooms have their pros and cons. Of course, there was Cuban sloppiness in places, but in general I liked the hotel, as well as Cuba itself, but a trip to Cuba is a one-time trip, of course it was worth going, but I won't go again, because there is simply nothing to do there after a few days.

Water was brought to the room only once in 11 days, although every day they left money for the maid. At the same time, she cleaned well. We lived on the top floor, it turns out on the 9th, and there was always a problem with the elevators. One did not work at all (it was always broken), the second also constantly broke down and practically did not work, but the third was simply not enough for everyone. I had to wait for the elevator for a very long time. And of course no one cleaned them, garbage and stink. The location is very far from the center. 7 km on foot, if not more. I had to spend money on taxis for 10 (Cook) euros each way. You still need to walk to the double-decker bus, which takes 5 Cooks around Varadero, also not at all close, in the heat you especially feel the distance. There are very few sunbeds on the beach. If you don't take it in the morning (before breakfast), then you will definitely stay "with your nose." The Internet is generally a complete mess. Not only that, according to the card you need to buy (so throughout Cuba), but also the wifi signal is weak, and sometimes there is no signal at all. It is worth sending a photo or calling through social networks, as soon as the time on the card ends. I don't know about other hotels in Cuba, since it was the first time, but compared to other countries, this one does not pull on its 4* at all.

We gave a couple of coins to the baggage handler (only later did we find out that we were given several times more due to inexperience than they usually tip) and he got so emotional that he agreed at the counter for us about a room in which "you can play hockey". It turned out to be a very spacious two-room apartment with a beautiful view.
But the other guests were very unlucky - the water would be turned off, then the air conditioner would turn off.
We will never forget this vacation!!! Everything is great!

It's a good hotel for Cuba. The view of the ocean is incomparable. The bar is round the clock. There are a lot of different kinds of meat and poultry from food, seafood is rare. There are few vegetables. They clean it every day. Towels on the beach may not be enough. Like it
The hotel is more like a 2-star hotel. I celebrated Christmas and ng 2019. It was great for the food! Chefs grilled lobsters, lobsters, and lobsters. On normal days (not a holiday), they feed like in a soldier's canteen :) Among the entertainment for me was a basket + sea + rum in the lobby. The rest of the time is either guided tours or independent walks outside the hotel. The elevators in the hotel are scary, there are queues in the dining room or at the reception. I do not recommend it to couples or families.
The rooms are neat and clean. But not all of them. They clean it every day. However, the staff is noisy. Now the elevators are being changed and only one is working. Check-in to the room is made at 16:00, regardless of when you arrived at the hotel. The territory of the hotel is quite large. Animation and performances every day. Drinks around the clock. The beach is great, but 10% of the sunbeds are broken, which does not prevent you from enjoying the sun and the ocean. If necessary, you can always call a taxi or take a ride to the city center on a chaise.
Guys! Cuba is a dream! The ocean is something unreal! There is nothing to compare it with at all! It's the coolest thing I've ever seen! White sand, warm water, pelicans... The hotel is far from new. But it has its own zest. I recommend it to everyone!
Check-in from 16:00. An adapter is needed for the Euroville to a regular one. Round-the-clock bars in the hotel, if you ask, pour into their cocktail mugs without problems.
