A very cozy place in New Athos!
Within walking distance of a Cave, Monastery, Waterfall, market place. The sea is a leisurely 7 minutes away.
Cozy rooms, friendly staff, there was a friendly maid Lyubov on the floor.
The dining room has a fresh and varied menu. Delicious!

We stayed at the Rodina 1 hotel for the May holidays, what we liked was only the buffet food and the location.
The room 's status is 3 with a minus . The bathroom is broken: toilet paper and faucet holders, the faucet is rusty. Not to mention that the water needs to be drained for "half an hour" to get warm. Bathroom accessories : gel, soap, toothbrush and slippers are not provided, although the rooms are comfortable. We slept like we were on the street at night , with a gap the size of a finger in the window block that we couldn 't fix .The wallpaper is beaten, the carpet in the room is dirty and smells of dust, the staff walks in dirty street shoes. There was no Internet during the entire stay, we could not solve it.

She lived in the 2nd building from 24 to 30.10.
Convenient location: 10 minutes to the beach, near a lot of shops, a Ferris wheel in a couple of minutes walk, 10 minutes walk to a spring with a waterfall, next to the main street.
Next to the first building, you can choose an excursion.
Food at the end of October is a little scarce, especially for vegetarians, but mostly I had enough (do not expect variety in the off-season, they do not give fruits, vegetables are only in salads, it's sad with pastries).
I liked the room, it has everything you need. Only it didn't work. A bathrobe is provided only for visiting the pool. It had a temperature of about 22 degrees.
The overall impression was good.

In May 2025, we spent a wonderful week at the Rodina Hotel building 1 in the wonderful New Athos.
We thank the administrator, Asida, for her participation and attentive attitude and help, and the kitchen staff for the varied menu and homemade recipes. Baking is just a bomb!

I am very pleased with the hotel. I spent a long time choosing among the many hotels in New Athos, but I settled on this one, building 2. I've read many reviews, but what do I want to say! Don't believe everyone! For example, about the staff. Dining room....
Excellent breakfasts and dinners. Porridge of two types, croutons, sandwiches, hodgepodge, borscht, pies, omelet, etc.
Margarita and Maxim are wonderful sincere people and there is no rudeness on their part, as others write. We are always ready to solve your problems or questions. Athos itself is a combination of the beauty of nature and the powerful energy of the holy places. I recommend this hotel and will most likely return here in the fall for my birthday!!!
I would also like to thank the girls from the clinic and Ilmira, who is the head of the clinic. The room is always very clean, with fresh water, towels, bathrobes, soap, shampoo, paper, etc.

The Rodina Hotel is in a great location, our room 308 with a balcony and a view of the forest, the river and the New Athos Monastery, super, wake up to the sound of water and by the way we rested when the weather was rainy, but every day we walked. The room is standard, there is a kettle in the room , a TV, a lot of channels, the linen was changed after 5 days as stated, the towel after 3 days, if it needed to be changed, no problem. The reception always came to the rescue. Despite the fact that they worked every day without a shift . well done. The food is varied, I did not go hungry. The iron was on the 4th floor, along with the ironer, freely available. There are no complaints, I plan to book for the summer. Thank you all.

The location of the hotel is just great. All the sights of New Athos are within walking distance. The pool on the territory is good, in warm weather it did not seem particularly warm, but in rain and cloudy weather it was warm)
The breakfasts and dinners are excellent, the food is delicious.
The rooms are cleaned every 5 days, but for some reason they have not been cleaned) towels are changed every three days, but we asked to change them earlier - they were changed without problems. The paper was not brought to the room on time, we had to take it in open rooms, from which visitors had already left. The garbage was also taken out by themselves) there are no safes in the room. There is no luggage storage for suitcases either, they were left at the reception. But these are all small things, the main thing is that it is nearby)
The sea is not far away, the road through a beautiful park where swans swim, you can feed ostriches and peacocks.

I was vacationing at the hotel with my husband in June 2024. The hotel is conveniently located, the staff is seasoned and courteous, the food is normal, the breakfasts are monotonous, there were not enough pancakes, cheesecakes and well, other inexpensive dishes familiar for breakfast. The rooms are bright and newly renovated, the pools in the hotel were not used, there was no need, but they are clean and the water is warm. Building 1 is a 4-storey building without an elevator, consider who has health problems. We were unlucky in the hotel now there is a large construction site from 9.00 to 18.00 except Sundays, it is hard to stay in rooms with a view of the construction site, the bump is actively hammering all the time. We walked and went to the sea all the time, we are not homebodies, it will be difficult with children. The territory is open and hot horsemen drive up all night and leave with a screech of brakes, dropping off their nocturnal passion. It was annoying, but we obviously bought the most inexpensive rooms, so, although I think the construction site interfered with everyone, noise, dust, KAMAZ trucks and tractors. Will we come to this hotel again? We will come again to cheap rooms, for us the main thing is the sea, the beach, mountain routes and the beauty of New Athos!

The hotel is renovated. Everything is clean. The shower is strangely located, it is not in a separate room, but a straight shower and only. I just returned from Abkhazia, the New Athos hotel Rodina 2 . I am delighted with this holiday! A gorgeous place surrounded by greenery, mountains, sea, waterfalls, a mountain river flows around the hotel, a very beautiful park. Not far from the hotel there is a temple, a cathedral, the grotto of Simon the Canonite, high on the mountain there is a church of the Iverian Mother of God! There is an atmosphere of spirituality and holiness everywhere!On the territory of the Rodina 2 hotel there is a heated swimming pool, a dining room, many palm trees, cypresses, flowers grow.Everything is clean, cozy, and quiet. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the hotel administration, administrators Maxim, Milana, Margarita for their friendly attitude and help. The hotel fully justifies its 3 stars. We lived in the second building from 05/24/2024. The girls at the reception are friendly, they explain everything in an accessible way. We arrived at 10.00. Check-in at 14.00, no earlier. But... Despite the fact that the voucher costs dinner, we were told that we could go to breakfast, which we gladly did. The room is small, but clean, modern, the bed linen is snow-white. Of course, it's time to change the mattresses. There is a clothes dryer on the balcony. There are hooks in the shower, shampoo, gel only once, upon check-in. They asked for a foot mat in the bathroom and gave it to me. Bathrobes are available on request at the reception, they can be used in the pool. The pool is clean, there are sun beds. The beach from the hotel is right behind the Shell stop. The sea is clear. There were always enough sunbeds on the beach. There is a small selection in the dining room, but everything is delicious, every day is different, the chefs are great. For breakfast there are always two porridges, cheese, sausage, delicious cottage cheese, pastries. There are 2 soups for dinner, very tasty. The queue in the dining room is only at the opening. Yes, it's not a queue, after the Country of the soul, where we then left))) I will be happy to return to this hotel again! And yes... There is no rotavirus in the hotel.

I have read a lot of negative reviews about the food in this hotel. Most likely, they are written by people who do not eat normal homemade food at all. Everything is very crowded literally every 5 m there is a new hotel, a new hotel. The Rodina Hotel is located a little apart, but at the same time all the sights are also within walking distance. The sea is literally a 5-minute walk away. It should also be noted that the hotel has its own beach. There are a huge number of sun loungers on the beach, there is a cafe, that is, you do not just need to sit on the rocks or rent a chaise longue for 200 300 rubles per piece per day. Next, about the hotel itself. As I already wrote, we had a second building, it is newer than the first, I can't say anything about the first one, but we got a great room. The room has everything a fridge, a kettle, mugs, a wardrobe, bedside tables, everything is fine. The only drawback is there is no large full-length mirror. But this is a minor omission, I think. Each room has a balcony. There is a high chair and a clothes dryer on the balcony. information for smokers. I'm reading previous reviews, and I don't understand how this hotel could be liked. Our company is not picky, but the food is just terrible! Firstly, there is no variety from the word at all! This is not the first time we have come to Abkhazia, but we have never seen anything like this. The room is generally not bad, of course, it was a strange decision about the shower and toilet, but apparently it didn't work out any other way. There was a thin trickle of water in our room, and it was difficult to wash properly. There is no generator in the hotel, for the first two days there was no light, so it was so dark in the corridor that you could only find your room with a flashlight (. My friend hit the ironing board painfully in the dark. And even all this didn't seem very scary to us at first, because we came to rest and not to look for flaws. But at the check-out, we did not even think that it was necessary to hand over the room in person!!! We gave away the key, knowing that everything was in order, nothing was broken, lost or taken away. While waiting for the transfer, the girls found some dirty towel in our room and said they didn't know if they were washing it or not, so we were fined 2,000 rubles!!!!!! We're sure it wasn't our towel, because it was only a day old, and we couldn't get anything on it. But as time passed, we couldn't prove anything anymore. Therefore, they paid the fine, and left with a very unpleasant aftertaste!!! Therefore, my friends and I will never go to this hotel again and will not recommend it to anyone!!!

We had a rest in June 24, we gave 102tr for two 2-bed rooms. For its price, the hotel is wonderful. The food is delicious, although there is not much variety, there are practically no vegetables and fruits. If you are used to the delights, then go to another hotel.
The rooms are clean, the plumbing was slightly broken in the shower, but to be honest, it didn't stop us from taking a shower. There is a kettle in the room, you can drink tea. The towels are snow-white, and bathrobes are provided for adults on request.
They clean well, take out the trash every day and bring toilet paper.
Upon check-in, they give 1 piece of mini shampoo, on the rest of the days they stay on their own.
Many wrote about the staff being rude. I can't say that, because I was friendly myself, which I received in response.
The room key is given alone, regardless of the number of people staying in the room
The only thing I didn't like was that upon check-in, the administrators said that parking for cars was paid 100 rubles a day, but when they put the car in the parking lot of the 2nd building, the staff said that everything was free for you. And here it seems that they wanted to get enough of us, but perhaps this is a break in communications. I don't want to blame anyone.
I recommend the hotel to visit, but take into account the nuances that I described above, then there will be no unjustified expectations. And of course, for such a price, do not expect a high level.

It takes up almost the entire room. I had to learn how to maneuver so as not to get another bruise on my legs. The mattress itself is of course very very soft, even too soft. Marshmallow. We just left the hotel today, second building. We stayed for a week in a room on the ground floor. We were the first to arrive at the hotel on April 25, before that he was on winter quarters. We had a rest with a friend from 05/26/2016 at the Rodina hotel. We were very, very satisfied! From meeting at the reception to leaving the hotel, thanks to the wonderful people who work at this hotel and at the reception, and in the dining room, and cleaning the room and the territory, everything was fine! The hotel is cozy, very clean room, snow-white linen and towels, snow-white bathrobes to go for a swim in the pool with heated water to a very comfortable temperature). We rested twice in Rodina hotels, in the 2nd building. The first vacation was in May. Then everything was fine and the star of the hotel was the administrator Margarita, the whole service was apparently based on her… In early October, we returned (convenient location of the hotel) But everything became dull. Room: tubma is broken, said "the hotel administration" looked and spread his hands.
The shower room is a separate kind of art, it turns out that something is leaking and I got a chance to flood the neighbors from below.
The "hotel administration" came with a sharp eye, saying "come down, I'll give you a rag to wipe" I cleaned these couple of drops with my rag👌 The toilet bowl - the sounds of the Abkhazian waterfalls, was repaired 3 times in 2 weeks, on the day of departure, it was torn off again. The food is fine, not a rest, of course, but you can eat. Rotoviruses were not caught either the first or the second time!
The staff at the reception, they are the "administration" of the hotel in the person of Maxim and another beautiful lady (I did not remember her name) are friendly only visually.( sometimes they can be rude directly ) but fortunately, I did not get under such a distribution of the service)) They are tired and they urgently need a rest! Dissatisfied, tired, with strange looks and extremely inappropriate statements about other hotel guests.

Abkhazia itself is beautiful, But apparently it was a mistake to come to the same hotel a second time. Excursions!!! Madeleine is just a wonderful person, a soul!
There is a Ferris wheel next to the hotel! It's worth a ride! It's beautiful in the morning and at sunset. There is something to sharpen your eyes on!
Tip: If you are a person without pretensions and are ready to just enjoy, this hotel is quite suitable. But if you are sometimes confused by stains on the walls, a towel, or broken appliances or things and lack of service, look for a class of stars above!
I like the hotel itself, the place is convenient. People are cool! And Abkhazia is beautiful!

We had a rest from 01.07 to 07.07, we liked the hotel! They placed us on the side of the river, the mountains and the monastery.The view is gorgeous . It was very pleasant to fall asleep to the sound of the river and wake up to the singing of birds. The food is delicious. We would like to thank the staff for their kind attitude and good reception. We rested at the Rodina 3 hotel*
from 05.12.24 in the 2nd building, in room 307, the location of the hotel is very good, at the foot of the mountains, everything is surrounded by greenery. A 4-storey building with an elevator, balconies overlook the pool on one side and the mountain river Pcyrsha on the other. All the sights are within walking distance.If you have a vacation in Abkhazia, then New Athos is the best place, the city is simply surrounded by greenery, there is something to see here. There is a large suspect pool on site, cleanliness is perfect everywhere. Meals breakfast / dinner, buffet - the assortment is small, but everything is homemade, delicious.Anyone who has vacationed in Turkey 3* knows only vegetables , greens and soybeans, you will not get far. You will not stay hungry here, the food is decent for a 3* hotel!. Many thanks to Madeleine for our excursions and tips on where to go. The hotel has its own beach with umbrellas, sun loungers - free of charge. Towels are provided in the room + a bathrobe for the pool. Food - the choice is small, very simple, but everything is edible (for breakfast sandwiches, sausage, eggs, porridge, cottage cheese). For a little money, we won't even betray)) Once we were 20 minutes late for dinner, but we were fed anyway, thanks for your understanding!
Disadvantages - now the 3rd building is being built, it is very noisy and dusty. There is also a car wash next to the pool, it is also noisy. But we didn't go to the hotel during the day, it didn't bother us.
In general, I recommend the hotel! All the sights and the sea are nearby, we walked, there are a lot of interesting things in New Athos (a fortress, huge caves, a waterfall, a nature reserve, a monastery).
If you go to Abkhazia, then this city is the best place to stay.

We rested from 30.07 to 08.08. we chose this hotel on recommendation. We lived in building 2. Friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner buffet style. You should not expect anything supernatural from nutrition. Everything is quite modest, but there is always something to choose. The air conditioner in our room did not work at its 17 degrees. The "master" could not adjust it. But I washed the filters. The hotel has a swimming pool. They give out bathrobes. The rooms are clean, towels and linen are changed on schedule. We have just returned from vacation, went to Abkhazia with my son for the first time, Abkhazia is beautiful, we were lucky with the weather in early June, the beaches are clean, we were on 5 excursions (many thanks to Madina!!! - the stand between the 1st and second buildings - the excursions are very interesting and the attitude is excellent. The hotel has 2 rooms in total, I do not plan to come here in the near future. 1. Near the second building there is a construction site - the noise is rather big, but it's serious from 9 to 18, one day the workers got into a fight - I and other guests enjoyed the view and screams from the balcony. 2. Breakfasts - queues and the time allotted for tomorrow and dinner (8:30-10:00 and 17:30 -19:00) - beyond good and evil, on the days of excursions, neither eat normally because of the queue, nor go to the sea early in the morning, a choice of dishes, fruits, vegetables, except for cabbage - no, one day a queue of people who waited for breakfast was not very politely asked not to come at the same time - and when??? - breakfast from 8:30 to 10:00 - the hotel is full, surprisingly in general, people are waiting behind closed doors of the dining room in the morning, the staff seeing the queue outside - sitting in the shade and smoking - open exactly on schedule, not earlier and not later, the products are cheap, there is no choice - for dinner - one salad - cabbage or carrots are not a choice, on different days, pasta, meatballs or sausages. There is soup - thanks for that! But in general, it is very mediocre and frankly very cheap. The rooms are cleaned, clean, the rooms are new, respect to the maids for their care and courtesy! There are no more advantages, there is a large car wash behind the fence around the clock, this is really not the sound of the surf, not at all, and compared to the construction site, the car wash works at night. Upon departure, I watched as the girl was fined for a stain on a towel, the girl from the LPR came to rest a little :(, but they apparently earn money on fines here, I ordered a taxi for 2 p.m. from Madina, warned the maid in the morning that we were leaving, and exactly at 13 :00 - when I left the room with with a suitcase and a child - I ran into a receptionist who said that according to the rules of the hotel I had to leave at 12, not 13, and now I have to pay a fine, I explained that no one warned me about the fine and strict check-out time, and that I myself warned the maid that I was leaving, there was no plan to use the hotel and not pay, the only train from Athos to Moscow Time departs daily at 14:55 and I was not the only one who ordered a taxi at the same time, but it did not matter, the manager said that I should feel guilty and read the rules of the hotel, but since I am with a child, they they forgive, of course, thank you, but there is nothing more to say, I do not recommend it!
