A cozy , atmospheric cafe . A calm Russian melody is playing, the staff is always polite. They cook very tasty! We took cutlets with mashed potatoes , pancakes and borscht was just wonderful . I also liked the location, it is very convenient to get there, there is a market nearby. I recommend this place)!
The kitchen is for those who really miss traditional, not in the best sense, homemade food. Of the masterpieces of the menu of beef stroganoff with pork, this is not found anywhere else in Istanbul. The owner used to work in the Russian Federation in the construction industry as a designer, and after the downed plane came home and opened a cafe-nostalgia, sometimes you can meet him in the hall as a waiter. You definitely need to go here not for gastronomical revelations, but for nostalgic impressions, accompanied by Irina Alegrova👍🏽
During your stay in Istanbul, you will miss Russian cuisine very much. This place was a pleasant discovery. Very tasty and friendly. There is a Russian-speaking waiter. We recommend French-style meat, roast and crab salad!
Just a great place if you miss Slavic cuisine among over-dried kebabs and over-salted meat in Istanbul. A real oasis of decent gastronomy, which is close to people from the countries of the former Soviet Union. Prices are normal.
Today we were at this restaurant with the whole family. We wanted to enjoy Russian cuisine. We ordered different dishes:chicken soup, beefsteak with mashed potatoes, Kiev cutlet with salad and mashed potatoes, olevye salad, chicken cutlet with mashed potatoes, tea, bread. So: the salad was brought 10 minutes after the order time - cut into large, uneven pieces; tea in a teapot - to taste and look like packaged. During this time, the staff could not decide among themselves whether they had chicken soup or not - his absence or unwillingness to just cook won the victory. And so... 55 minutes have passed. They brought 2 chicken cutlets, they look just amazing, but when they tried to cut it, it turned out that they were absolutely raw (the minced meat in the middle is even viscous), however, the chef tried to convince us that in order for an ordinary chicken cutlet to be soft, they put butter inside - that's why it didn't fry evenly inside. After 15 minutes, the dish was brought to the next member of the family - a Kiev cutlet - salted and without the promised salad. Then, after 15-20 minutes, the long-awaited beef stroganoff with mashed potatoes was brought - we were not lazy and counted the number of meat - 4 longer strips and 1 very small, and the bulk of this dish was fried onions + something salty in the form of eggplant or cucumbers in sour cream sauce (price 275 lira). I don't want to talk about the staff at all - they were running somewhere, in a hurry... The result: 2 people did not eat at all, 2 people remained hungry. We paid 715 Turkish lira for this service. True, we were given a piece of cake for the inconvenience - but the quality is exactly the same as everything else. I would not put any stars, I would even give a negative vote, but there is no technical possibility. The horror!!! A pathetic semblance of Russian cuisine. There were no customers in the hall except us, but apparently we were not the only ones disappointed.
This restaurant was found on the Internet. After reading the reviews, we wanted to try and make sure. The food is very tasty, I think the number one in Istanbul, because we have been to other places. Just don't compare it with local restaurants, it's not Turkish cuisine! As a result, we were satisfied, the prices are normal, despite the fact that the products are imported and, plus, prices in Istanbul are rising for products every day. Smiling and friendly staff👍
And the atmosphere and music are nostalgic :)
I recommend everyone to go and enjoy😀
Cosmically delicious food! I went home. I have traveled all the cities of Turkey in 2 years... Nowhere has it been so delicious! I'm just sitting in shock, I decided to write a review right during lunch here)) Because I'm impressed. I will only eat here in Istanbul.
The place is very interesting. It is suitable if you are overcome by nostalgia for your homeland. All the most popular domestic dishes are available: from borscht to herring under a fur coat. Vodka, by the way, is also very good. The price tag is quite high. And, alas, there is not much space. But in general, everything is fine :)
