Lake Salda is called the "Turkish Maldives". Why Maldives?
Of course, because of the color of the coastline and the clear water, which changes its color from white to deep blue.
Geological features include the presence of medicinal clay saturated with magnesium near its shores. Unlike hydrogen sulfide mud, it does not smell.
Salda Lake is located 1,180 m above sea level. If you look around, it is surrounded by mountains on all sides. It is not particularly large in area, about 45 square kilometers.
It is better, of course, to go here on your own and stop for at least a few hours, because the sightseeing routes that pass by the lake are not designed for a long time admiring it. They will allocate a maximum of 1-1.5 hours, and during this time you need to swim, put on clay, and take pictures.
The lake is very beautiful, but we were on an excursion, so we were brought at a very early time. when the water was +2-4 degrees (besides, it was October). Naturally, no one swam. And the air temperature was also very low. But the place deserves your attention.
I am here now to say something.. beautiful views, a pleasant place, I don't want to swim, the water is cold even in August. It is a very quiet place, you can sit on a bench and enjoy the silence and the air. It's not worth going on purpose)
