We just returned from the city of Almaty. We stayed at the Samal Resort&Spa hotel. And, of course, we visited the Samal restaurant more than once. Pleasant atmosphere. The interior is in the Kazakh national style. It's very cozy. The food is delicious. Prices are above average.

Unexpectedly nice hotel. The breakfasts are excellent, the food in the restaurant is delicious. The spa is not bad, but it would be nice to have hot water in the zacuzi. The baths are good.
It's true that repairs are asking for, but everything is clean and well. The view from the window to Dostyk is not bad. In general, we liked it.

Earlier in the Soviet years there was a Samal restaurant with interesting architecture. Like an Alpine cabin. I was there in 1987. And recently on March 6th, in a new building. Nice, clean, and cozy. Beautiful terrace, overlooking the mountains.

We celebrated a friend's birthday at this institution. I really liked the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The waiter guys were very courteous, answered all questions about dishes and drinks. I would also like to note that they looked clean, neat, well, handsome! The food is very tasty and varied, they ate a lot, took the pilaf home (did not fit into anyone). The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and conducive to a pleasant pastime.
In general, hardening 5 out of 5!

I like the restaurant, we hold various events there. They cook delicious food. BUT I don't like that they keep birds in cages there. The last time we were there, there was live music, so there was one bird that climbed into its empty bowl, sweated all the way or this bowl with water was. In general, they also have different personalities, like people, if one sings along, then the other shakes with fear. Because basically all living things love silence. I feel sorry for the birds. Against the use of birds and other animals in entertainment places!

An aquarium can be called in another way, because the entire interior, walls and floor are like the walls of an aquarium in which beautiful fish swim. Moreover, when stepping on the floor, circles spread from the feet.
I liked the menu too, especially the salad with fried eggplant.

We were at a conference in this place. It is located in a beautiful place, the view is gorgeous and opens to the mountains, the air is fresh. The interior is in oriental style, the restaurant has live birdsong. We also noted the polite staff and very tasty food. We were fed lunch and coffee breaks for two days. I was surprised by the variety of offers and excellent taste. Thank you, we were satisfied.

The place is beautiful, the cuisine is good and the portions are huge, the prices are slightly above average, but tolerable. I was also pleased with the tea, I took 1 point for the horses that are placed in cages in the hall, they scream non-stop and make it very difficult to communicate, we had a cage exactly behind our head (behind the back of the sofa).

We recently spent 4 nights there, a very cool hotel, clean, quiet, the staff is polite.it's cool that each room has its own small terrace. The air and the view are excellent !The pool and hammam are also very clean and cozy and the furniture and interior items are super!If we are still in Almaty, we will stay at this hotel again.I recommend it!!!

For food - a small breakfast table with 5 hot dishes, a bunch of snacks, several desserts, two compotes and a coffee machine with tea. I have no complaints about the freshness of the food, the speed of "updating" the dishes. I was pleased with the presence of cottage cheese =)

But the minus according to the waiters, in such a respectable institution there should be qualified staff, and they do not understand what gluten-free dishes mean, they seemed to explain for a long time that gluten is flour, so that nothing would happen, they still brought shish kebab on pita bread, said replace, they say allergies, they just removed the pita bread, and the fact that there are traces left on the meat and they are also dangerous to an allergic person - they do not know. At the end of all this, ice cream was brought and sprinkled again - cookies, ie gluten. Most likely, either the waiters do not pass on the client's instructions on the intolerance of certain products, or the chefs are just as illiterate, very sad

Terrible cuisine - they served a whole spoiled lamb in a tandoor. They assured our whole company that it was a marinade, although the stench was terrible. I spent the whole next day sitting on the toilet, thank you so much for the unforgettable experience!
Besides the lamb snacks, salads and tortillas were also tasteless. The Kazas are too greasy and over-salted, tasteless salad with tomatoes and tortillas with a taste of rancid butter.
