The building and the international airport itself are very beautiful, bright, and a large space for meeting and seeing off people. After the reconstruction, the airport has been transformed for the better.
But the work of the staff leaves much to be desired. The departure and arrival halls are not particularly clean, the cleaners clean only in the center or even pretend to clean everything, they wash the toilet and halls with one rag.....
At passport control everything goes very slowly, because of this a terrible queue of people gathers, workers work very slowly they are distracted by extraneous factors, it feels like they were taken off the street and put at computers for the first time. The work of airport employees is terrible, such work does not pull at the international level at all.

I do not recommend changing rubles/dollars at the airport, the exchange rate was 90, taxi drivers are waiting for you at 120 at the exit from the airport. I did not understand the work of wifi until I went to the router 192.168.88.1 there was no invitation for authorization (it will be useful to you, call a Yandex taxi). You can also buy a sim card at the airport.

The airport itself is pretty and small. The airport staff is friendly and will help you with your questions. BUT border guards are a horror. We know what can be carried and what cannot. Calm tourists with only one hand luggage. Women / girls - be attentive and calm, try to distance yourself from their caustic views and statements - so that there are no problems. Not everyone is like that at the checkout counter! But some individuals have gained a bit of power. It was a very nasty attitude.

It feels like the technique that shines through things and people just doesn't work and therefore searches everything brazenly. They groped and just got into panties and bras, turned out all the pockets. So it is with all the passengers! I'm asking: what exactly is it to get out of the suitcase that is confusing? There is no answer @! At all airports, they bring them to the screen and specifically show what confuses them. Not here! They dig at random. Conclusion: the technique does not work from the word at all!

We were not told that girls should pass through a metal detector where a woman stands in front of them, and men where a man is. Therefore, many went to the first one they came across and had to go through the right frame twice. Everyone was asked to show halva if you spend it in your hand luggage. That's why almost everything was revealed and sweets were shown) But there were a lot of inspectors, so the queue did not stop much because of this. In general, I liked this airport more than in Tashkent.

There is a bank at the airport where you can change cash rubles - the exchange rate is very unprofitable - 90 soums for 1 ruble, instead of the official one at 135.
There are a lot of money changers at the airport who are better off changing your rubles. There is no point in agreeing for less than 120 soums per ruble, the larger the exchange amount is the more profitable rate, more than 10 thousand, you can already ask for 125 per ruble.
It is more profitable to change dollars. 1 dollar - 12,500 soums.
Taxi drivers can also be changed.

Comfort - 5 points, cleanliness - 5 points! There is carpet on the floor in a clean area, very cozy🙏There is a play area for small children. It's spacious!!!
The inspection is high-quality, my mother found a screwdriver at the entrance to the airport (my mother is 83 years old, carries it in her purse just in case ...).
A very thorough inspection before departure - they threw out a hoe, a little vodka - we did not know that it was impossible😅
Well done Uzbeks - they check carefully. This is universal security.
The only drawback was a slight delay in boarding on May 16, 2023 on flight HY 9605 Samarkand - Domodedovo Moscow. We went down to exit 1 on the escalator, and the doors to the hall were closed before boarding, we waited for 30 minutes, and among the passengers there were elderly people and children, we could have opened the hall so that there would be no crowds and people would not stand))))
