The guest house is located about 1 km away (10 minutes walk) from the historical center of Samarkand. It consists of five rooms located in the courtyard. The young family of the owners with children live right here in this house. While we were living, their relatives also stayed with them.
The room was clean enough. The furniture is old, the sockets are located far from the beds (they asked for an extension cord). There are not enough shelves in the shower, a cup for toiletries, some kind of rug. After taking a shower, the entire floor in the shower is wet. The room also lacks a closet or at least shelves. Things have to be laid out on the bedside table, beds, chair backs, which is not very nice.
Towels, detergents, toilet paper were provided. During the 4 days of stay, towels and bed linen were not changed (it was not critical for us).
Air conditioning and TV are available. The air conditioner is working, the TV, to be honest, was not turned on. If a refrigerator, microwave, kettle are needed, the owners offer to use their appliances. You can also ask for dishes and cutlery without any problems. Perhaps, if asked, they can allow you to use their washing machine. They are open-minded people, they help in any way they can.
I'll be honest, the accommodation is for unassuming travelers, although the hostess is trying. But there are too many worries on her: children, husband, relatives, guests. Everyone needs to be fed, washed, and cleaned up.
The accommodation is great for those who want to see the life of an Uzbek family, communicate with the guests. There are many foreigners among them. It is not very suitable for those who need privacy or vice versa for noisy companies.
In the Registan area, a money changer is sitting across the street near a pedestrian crossing. His course is normal (in May 2024 it was 1:130).
Of all the cafes we visited, we liked the Old City the most. The price is like everywhere else, it was cooked delicious. The pilaf was the best in Uzbekistan, of those that were tried.
It is very conveniently located in the city center, close to the main historical sites. Friendly hosts. The room is small, there is no table, no wardrobe, only two beds, two chairs and a small bedside table. If you need to work at the table, then there is no such opportunity. There is a shower, hot water, toilet in the room. It is more convenient to make breakfast yourself, there is a shared refrigerator, the owners give dishes and a kettle. You can eat in the courtyard under a canopy, there are small tables and chairs. There is an Internet connection. Machine wash for an additional fee.
A very quiet place. The rooms are cool, even at temperatures over 30 the room remains comfortable. Friendly hosts. Shavkat will help you with everything, tell you and explain. Almost all the sights of Samarkand are located nearby from the hotel, everything is within walking distance (for those who like to walk with their feet). There are also many cafes nearby for every pocket. We went to a cafe for local Histories (awesome lamb kebab, beef lula, pilaf (eat only during the day, it hits the digestive tract hard in the evening) and of course samsa))
Great place. The rooms are clean, there are all amenities. Separately, I want to express my gratitude to the owner's family - thank you very much for your hospitality, kindness and kind attitude to the guests! Invited to the table in the evening, treated to dinner - for this separately Rahmat! Thanks! I recommend it to everyone - very decent and honest people. When searching, the message was immediately answered.
Normal rooms, the room has a shower, sink, bathroom, bedding and linen are clean and tidy, the rooms are heated through a split system, there is a TV, wi-fi speed is weak..but there is better than nothing, responsive hosts, a calm atmosphere, a mosque nearby if anyone is very interested, and yes, the Registan square is a maximum of 10 minutes away from the ATO and less.
I am not very happy with the hotel! I booked 2 triple rooms and 1 reserved room without my consent, the administration gave it to other people! As a result, not all my colleagues were able to move in, then the administrator suggested that two men sleep on the same double bed - I think this is at least not ethical!
The whole room is completely in the windows and you can be seen from the street.
There is frosted glass in front of the toilet and the neighbor sees you sitting on the toilet - I think any adequate hotel would not allow this!
Breakfast is available for a fee.
The water pressure is very weak.
The water is cold.
The administrator sleeps at 7.00, if you need to solve any issues, you have to wait until he wakes up or solve it in the evening.
The owner of Shavkat is very pleasant, attentive. The room is cozy. Light, shower, water, air conditioning, everything is as it should be. For such a price, a 10-minute walk from Registan is very worthy!
We stayed for a couple of days, we really liked everything. Located in the old town, Registan is a 10-minute walk away. The room is clean, the plumbing is working. Very friendly environment.
A small quiet street just north of the magnificent Registan. A quiet family-run hotel. I rented a small single room. There is a bed, a high chair, a bedside table. A neat shower room, everything shines with cleanliness. Right above the door of the room (facing the courtyard) there are beautiful sweet grapes that you can enjoy. The owner's wife prepares delicious breakfasts.
In general, it is a very emotional place.
Many thanks to Shovkat and his family members for their hospitality and sincere interest in solving all our problems. Despite the fact that we were guests, we felt surrounded by family. Thank you, if it works out, we will definitely come back to you! A small refrigerator is asking for a nook in the room!
In general, it was not bad, but on March 22 it was cool and the Wanderer did not save on heating. I would advise the owners to offer warmer blankets. And the breakfast was not very tasty compared to other guest houses
A normal guest house, it is clear that the owner listens to comments and wishes, someone wrote that there are no jars of shampoo, now they are) Really a very convenient location, it is easy to reach Registan + accommodation in an ordinary area. It's all clear. The air conditioner is working normally, somewhere at zero at night I did not freeze, the floor is cool, especially in the bathroom. The lights were turned off in the area every evening for 30 minutes, but this is no longer a claim to the hotel
We stayed for one night. Everything matches the description. I give a low rating for the fact that the owner charged us in excess of the specified amount upon check-in. We were surprised. I suggest you think about it before you go to him. Or arrange payment in advance.
It's a good place. Clean room, private shower room. Breakfast is not included in the price, but the service will be provided for an additional fee. The owners are very nice people. Nearby there are shops, cafes, Registan. I liked everything. I recommend
We are currently staying in this guest house. Friendly hosts. There is nothing in the room, no kettle, no refrigerator, no clothes rack. But in general it's fine. Breakfast is served
Excellent home hotel, hospitable hosts welcome you as old friends. We called the administrator from Moscow and he arranged for us to transfer from the airport. But this is an option only in the warmer months, there is no heating in the rooms.
A good place, the owner hears the needs of the guests. Among the disadvantages: it takes a long time to wait for hot water (although this often happens in Europe), it's a little cold if you don't operate the air conditioner rigidly (we are talking about winter), there is nowhere to put things.
For $15, a single, separate, warm, cozy and very clean room. There is smarttv and WiFi. Breakfast is generally delicious, the seasonings in the omelet are just space, you can't try this in any hotel in the world.
Pros: close to the center, cheap.
Cons: the room is stuffy, the water in the shower accumulates and if you snowstorm for a long time, it can leak out of the shower. The water supply is not stable.
Great place! They often write: "I was greeted as a guest." And I came across this for the first time: December 31, evening. The owner invites you to his house, puts you at a festive table, where his family is already sitting: mom, wife and children. I never dreamed of such a thing!!! Now about the room where I stayed - everything is like in a standard hotel room (photo attached). The room has access to a cozy courtyard. To Registan on foot 15-20 min walking distance.
