The paper is smoldering, the iron is rusting, the bricks are cracking, the foundation is settling. What remains unchanged?
This is so, on reflection.
Must-visit👍
Now there is nothing but ruins here and nature is coming into its own, regaining what was taken from it by man.
🏨 Smecki boarding house or Gulripsh sanatorium
Both buildings of the sanatorium were located on the rose of the winds – the confluence of sea and mountain air, which provided almost ideal conditions for pulmonary patients of the sanatorium.
A luxurious garden with outlandish plants was laid around the sanatorium. Architect Georgy Baronin wrote about it that "this health factory has a touch of castle romance and respectability."
The sanatorium in Gulripsha was named after Lenin in 1921.
Smecki's story was restored and published in the 70s.
At the time of the collapse of the USSR and the beginning of the Georgian-Abkhazian war, the sanatorium was operational, everything worked, and was in excellent condition. During the war, no fighting took place in this territory, but now it looks like it was in the epicenter of hostilities.
A very epic building, that's right grandiose. but dying. If they had restored a luxurious boarding house, it would have turned out. The main staircase is still intact, it seems that some reinforced concrete floors are being specially broken.
It is a very picturesque place, the building has been partially preserved, but it is simply magnificent, it was very pleasant to walk. The place to visit is completely free and free, you can drive by car or bus, not far uphill from the road, there is not a steep paved road, we were happy to leave the car at the bottom and took a walk. I recommend
One of the advantages is a crazy photo location for its uniqueness and beauty. Urbanism has elements of romance, especially beautiful at sunset.
Of the minuses, the collapse is colossal, be careful, not a single photo is worth your life
A grandiose building . Even in a ruined state, it makes an indelible impression. The red building of the sanatorium ....it is abandoned and vandalized, but it is certainly very interesting to visit it. You can watch my video about this place on my YouTube channel Go back to the past.
The place is amazing: the delight is simply childish and the bitterness of losing something beautiful, the last fragment of a past civilization. There is no such air on the whole earth. You will be impressed for a long time.

It is a very beautiful and atmospheric place, a monument to love and medicine, and what a pity that there are only ruins in place, you leave there with a slight feeling of longing.
Once there was a beautiful and interesting building. An interesting view of how nature absorbs what is created by human hands. There are traces of a once beautiful and large park all around.
It's worth a visit. There are a lot of impressions! There was once a magnificent sanatorium palace! A monument to true love. The architect was a genius.
The buildings are located in two places, do not miss the one where there are only walls left. And take a spray from mosquitoes, mosquitoes stick around instantly.
Carefully, but you can wander up the stairs (floors are not everywhere), take pictures with ruins in plants) It is better to come in sunny weather during the daytime.
Incredible abandonment. The vaults and even the wall paintings have been preserved. You need to get from a psychiatric clinic, not a tuberculosis dispensary (it's worth telling the driver).
